On 12th August 2024, during night hours, BSF troops observed suspicious movement of an infiltrator from Pakistan who was approaching towards border security fence after crossing the International Border in the area falling near bordering Village Dal of district Tarn Taran, Punjab .

Alert BSF troops challenged the intruder but he did not stop and continued his advance towards the border security fence. Sensing imminent danger and keeping in view the high alert situation on the border during night hours, the troops on duty, fired upon the advancing intruder neutralizing him on the spot.

BSF says, "On 9th Aug 2024, Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) successfully addressed a significant and different kind of challenge at the India-Bangladesh border in Coochbehar District, West Bengal. Approximately 1,000 individuals, reportedly Bangladeshi nationals, approached the international border, seeking refuge in India. Upon encountering this group, the BSF promptly approached its counterpart, the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB), to take these Bangladeshi nationals back, ensuring that the situation was managed without escalating tensions. ISIS terrorist Rizwan Ali arrested in Delhi with arms, ammunition ahead of Independence Day

The Delhi Police Special Cell has apprehended Rizwan Ali, a wanted terrorist with alleged links to the ISIS module, just days before the Independence Day celebrations in the national capital, an official said.

Rizwan was arrested on August 8, 2024, at around 11 pm near Ganga Baksh Marg, Delhi, based on secret information received by the police. One star pistol with a .30 bore, 3 live cartridges and 2 mobile phones were recovered from his possession. A case has been registered at PS Special Cell, Delhi.

A resident of Daryaganj in Delhi, Rizwan had a Rs 3 lakh bounty on his head, announced by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for his involvement in terror activities, Special Cell, Delhi Police said.

Army soldier assaulted at police station, Minister & Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (Retd) questions conduct.

In a recent incident at Shastri Path police station in Jaipur, a soldier was reportedly beaten by police officers, prompting a visit from Rajasthan’s Minister for Industries and Sports, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

The minister expressed strong disapproval of the police conduct and demanded accountability.

On Monday afternoon, Minister Rathore made an unannounced visit to the Shastri Path police station, where he criticised the actions of the station officer and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sanjay Sharma.

According to Rathore, a soldier stationed in Kashmir, who had come to Jaipur for personal reasons, was detained and subjected to inhumane treatment at the police station. The soldier was allegedly stripped, beaten, and insulted with derogatory remarks about the military.

Report- DRDO has developed the Bullet Proof Jacket (BPJ) consisting of lightest Front Hard Armour Panel (FHAP). This jacket has been developed in two configuration viz. In-Conjunction-With (ICW) and Standalone with different areal density of FHAP. The Bullet Proof Jacket has been developed under DRDO project. Indian Air Force will have to wait longer for the first LCA MK-1A aircraft that was supposed to be delivered by March 31, 2024.

“The first LCA Mk-1A is likely to be delivered to the air force in November 2024,” said one of the officers who asked not to be named.

After missing the March 31 deadline, HAL hoped to deliver the first aircraft in July but again revised it to a later date in August.
