Indian Army has inducted Electric Buses for troop movement within Delhi & NCR. On behalf of the Indian Army, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar VCOAS was handed over the Electric Buses by VE Commercial Vehicle Ltd at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.
Indian Army has already been utilising Electric Cars since 2019 & this initiative will provide further impetus to the “Go Green” initiative..

Delhi Police on Sunday, February 4, arrested Riyaz Ahmed, a retired Indian Army soldier and an alleged member of proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), from the New Delhi Railway Station.

The arrest comes days after Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a LeT module operating in Kupwara district, uncovering a plot to carry out attacks in the region. Ahmed, police said, was actively involved in the conspiracy along with two other individuals - Khursheed Ahmad Rather and Ghulam Sarwar Rather - coordinating with handlers across the Line of Control (LoC) to receive weapons and ammunition.

General Manoj Pande #COAS felicitated the Indian Army Contingents for their outstanding performances in Republic Day 2024.

The Best Army Contingent Award went to The Madras Regiment and the Runners-up were BEG & Centre.

COAS also felicitated the Best Marching Contingents adjudged by the MoD. The Judges' Award was won by The Sikh Regiment while The Rajputana Rifles won the Popular Choice (Online Poll) Award.

IIT Kanpur achieves major milestone with India's First Hypervelocity Expansion Tunnel Test Facility, a major achievement that puts India amongst only a handful of countries with this advanced hypersonic testing capability.

The existing facilities at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram have a limitation – they can test only up to 4 km per second. But this new facility can evaluate systems flying at a speed of 3-10 km per second, for which currently there is no test platform in India. The Indian Space Research Organisation currently depends on other agencies to gather the aerodynamic data for such hypersonic velocities. This can now be done at IIT Kanpur.
