In a major diplomatic victory for India, Qatar has released eight former Indian Navy personnel who were detained in the Gulf country in an alleged case of espionage.

"The Government of India welcomes the release of eight Indian nationals working for the Dahra Global Company who were detained in Qatar. Seven out of the eight of them have returned to India. We appreciate the decision by the Emir of the State of Qatar to enable the release and home-coming of these nationals," the MEA said in a statement.

Embraer and Mahindra announce collaboration on the C-390 Millennium Medium Transport Aircraft in India

Embraer Defense & Security and Mahindra announced today that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the objective of jointly fulfilling the acquisition of the C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft by the Indian Air Force in its upcoming Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) procurement project. The MoU was signed at the Embassy of Brazil in New Delhi.

The Final Validation of EXERCISE SADA TANSEEQ culminated today at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges wherein joint teams from Royal Saudi Land Force and Indian Army contingents successfully executed a 48-hour exercise. The validation exercise witnessed the contingents carrying out Counter Terrorism operations in semi-desert terrain under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. Various sub-unit level drills were successfully executed. Infantry Combat Vehicles ( ICVs) and other potent weapon platforms were effectively employed in a coordinated manner.

The government has scrapped free movement between India and Myanmar to ensure internal security, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced.

In an X post, the Home Minister wrote, "It is Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's resolve to secure our borders."

"The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided that the Free Movement Regime (FMR) between India and Myanmar be scrapped to ensure the internal security of the country and to maintain the demographic structure of India’s North Eastern States bordering Myanmar," Amit Shah wrote.

Report: A suspcious boat, named "Abdullah Sharif", found near Gateway of India. The boat had three people onboard, all of them hail from Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari. The boat has arrvied from Kuwait and has been impounded. The three people are being questioned. Colaba Police is present at the spot. Nothing suspicious has been found from them. Case registered and further investigation is underway

Indian Army has inducted Electric Buses for troop movement within Delhi & NCR. On behalf of the Indian Army, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar VCOAS was handed over the Electric Buses by VE Commercial Vehicle Ltd at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.

Indian Army has already been utilising Electric Cars since 2019 & this initiative will provide further impetus to the “Go Green” initiative.

On the release of eight Indian ex-Navy veterans from Qatar, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra says, "We are grateful for their return. We deeply appreciate the decision of Qatar's government and the Amir to release them. We are happy to have seven of those Indian nationals back. 8th Indian national has also been released and we continue to work with the Qatar government to see how quickly his return to India would be possible. Prime Minister has himself personally constantly supervised all the developments in this case and has never shied away from any initiatives that would ensure the return of Indian nationals back to home..."
