According to today’s opening scripture, if the people around you would hear the Gospel, they’ll need you. Without you, some people around you may never get the opportunity to hear and receive God’s Word. Can you see how important you are?

Therefore, don’t be quiet. God has put His Word in your heart and in your mouth so, “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season…” (2 Timothy 4:2). You can use the prayer of Salvation on page 48 to lead them to Christ.

Remember, every child of God has the important assignment of preaching God’s Word. So, be busy about it today

Love is proven by both words and actions. God proved His love for us by sending His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins (John 3:16). This shows that love isn’t only spoken, it is acted.

Do you love God? I’m sure your answer is a resounding yes! Then, you’ve got to prove it; don’t just merely say it.

Prove it through your service to the Lord as you speak to others about Him, and as you give in church for the course of the Gospel. Be caring and kind to others, too.

You’re the child of God, the Creator of the heavens, earth and all that’s in it. Glory to God! This should put some spring in your steps, and a smile on your face. You’re not ordinary, you’re special, the child of the Most High God.

It’s very important you watch what comes out of your mouth always. Your words are powerful, and what you say will definitely come to pass. This is why it’s so vital you watch your words, and always say the right things.

The Shunammite woman’s story is an example for us. She had just lost her only child, and when Prophet Elisha asked her what was the matter, she said “…It is well” (2 Kings 4:26). What a confession! It wasn’t a surprise she got her dead child raised back to life (2 Kings 4:26-37).

Don’t be quick to complain and say negative words. Be full of God’s Word and always speak it forth in faith no matter the situation. As you do, you’re creating for yourself a life of glory, beauty and excellence.

Today’s memory scripture shows us how a nation is exalted and destroyed. Through our words of blessing, our nation is blessed, prosperous and progressive, but the mouth of the wicked can also destroy it through words. This shows that there’s power in words (Proverbs 18:21).

I, therefore, encourage you to keep speaking only words of blessing, peace, progress and prosperity to your country. Don’t join those that complain; rather, show them through God’s Word how to speak rightly about their countries. When you learn to talk right about your country, you’ll see the blessings, goodness and mercy of God over it continually.

This prayer is simply thanking, praising and worshipping the Lord for what He’s done for you, your family, friends, church and country.

One day, Jesus entered a village where He met and healed ten lepers. They all went away rejoicing but only one of them returned to thank Jesus. For that reason, not only was he healed, every part of his body that was affected by the leprosy was made whole (Luke 17:11-19).

Therefore, let your heart be full of praise and thanksgiving today for all the Lord has done for you. Be filled with gratitude for all He’s done for you. Remember, the Lord deserves all your praise and adoration.

Intercession means speaking or pleading on behalf of someone. When you intercede in prayer, you're speaking to the Lord on behalf of someone else.

As God's child, you have a responsibility to pray for your loved ones, parents, friends, neighbours, and your country. It's an important responsibility.

Take out time to pray for children that are sick in hospitals, those in orphanages, and those who don't have people to care for them. Pray that the will of God be done in their lives, and the power of the enemy be broken off them. When you intercede for them like this, you make it possible for God's will to be established in their lives.

Our God is the great God of glory. He made the heavens, the earth, and everything in them. He’s deserving of our praise and worship. As such, when we praise Him, we shouldn’t do it quietly; rather, we should do it with a shout of praise!

Remember the story of Paul and Silas? The Bible says, while in jail, they sang praises to God, and the other prisoners heard them (Acts 16:25). What followed was a mighty deliverance (Acts 16:26).

Praise God out loud, and do so from your heart, as you do, you’ll see His blessings and miracles manifest in your life.

Some folks are quick to lose heart or give up when they don’t see the answers to their prayers immediately. You shouldn’t be that way because it’ll mean you didn’t have faith in the first place.

Remember the story of Abraham? His wife was far past the age of bearing children when God told him he’ll be a father. The Bible says, “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). Abraham didn’t give up until he got a miracle.

Is there something you’ve been praying and trusting God for? It might be for the healing of a loved one, or salvation of a friend, don’t give up until you’ve seen the manifestation of your prayers.

Have you ever seen an anchor? It’s a very heavy metal object in ships which is used to hold ships in place when they’re docked. An anchor, when compared to a ship, is much smaller. But, it’s able to hold the ship in place regardless of its size.

God’s Word is your life’s anchor. It’s able to make and keep you successful, healthy and strong.

So, hold on to the Word. Study, meditate and act it accordingly. The Word is strong enough to take you through life, and make you what it talks about. Hallelujah!

Meals that are not seasoned with salt are tasteless and unappealing. Often times, a lot of people don’t like eating such meals.

Just as food tastes better when it’s seasoned with salt, your words can also be salted. Not with cooking salt, but with kindness and love. Therefore, let the words you speak be wholesome and true. Be an inspiration to those who listen to you.

Let your words be full of grace, humility, kindness and love. You’re God’s child, so act like Him as you use polite, kind and loving words that will bless all those who hear you.

Joy is a fruit of the new creation, it’s in every child of God. That means you can be joyful irrespective of what’s going on around you.

Apostle Paul was an example of someone who was joyful despite the many challenges he faced. That’s why he encouraged Christians to do the same; that is, to be joyful in the face of trials and challenges (James 1:2-4). As God’s child, it really doesn’t matter what the challenge is, your victory is certain (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). That was why Paul was joyful no matter what he faced.

So, choose to be happy and excited every day. Refuse to let anyone or anything make you have the blues. Remember, the joy of the Lord is your strength.

If your heavenly Father takes such great care of the birds in the air, the ants on the ground and the flowers of the field, He can and would surely take care of you because you’re much more precious and valuable than the birds or the flowers.

Therefore, “if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you…” (Matthew 6:30).

So, don’t let the things you need make you sad; rather, take them to the Lord in prayer, for He is able to do much more than you could ask or ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20). He is such a loving Father!

DON’T COMPLAIN; SPEAK!

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23

It’s common for people to complain about situations they don’t like. But complaining doesn’t change things or situations.

You don’t change a situation by complaining or talking about it, no; rather, it’s by talking to it. Today’s memory scripture again says, “…whoever says to this mountain…” That means you’ve got to talk to the situation.

The situation might be a fever or a concern with a loved one, don’t complain and talk about how bad it is. Rather, speak to it as you speak in other tongues, releasing your words of faith over the situation. Then watch it change. Hallelujah!

The Bible tells an inspiring story about a man possessed with evil spirits that was healed by our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible records that the man didn’t keep quiet about what had happened to him. “…So he went all through the city telling everyone about Jesus’ mighty miracle” (Luke 8:39).

Be swift to talk about what God has done for you. Tell someone about His love, mercy, provisions, and blessings in your life. As you do so, you’re helping him have faith for his own miracles, and like you he’ll testify to others too.

BE RESPONSIBLE AND DILIGENT

There’re children who shy away from responsibility. They shirk at chores and tasks given to them. That’s not a good behaviour. The Bible says you should do everything as unto the Lord. When you’re that way, it shows you are diligent and responsible.

Samuel, while he was serving with Prophet Eli, did everything he was told to do diligently, and without complaining. David started out by taking care of his father’s sheep and goats, until the Lord promoted him to be a great king. The Lord will give great responsibilities to those who have proven themselves faithful and diligent to their tasks. It’s no surprise that the Lord selected Samuel to be a renowned prophet after Eli, and David as a great king after Saul.

Like Samuel, wouldn’t you want to be the Lord’s preferred choice for greater responsibilities and blessings? Learn to be diligent and do your tasks as to the Lord.

Some people look out only for themselves, but God’s children shouldn’t be this way.

Remember, God’s love has been shed abroad in our hearts (Romans 5:5). That means we have the nature of God- Love! An important quality of God’s love is that it’s selfless. This is why you shouldn’t be selfish. God’s love doesn’t look out for itself, but, cares for others.

Therefore, be different as you let the love of God in you flow freely to others: show them genuine care, kindness and grace.

In today’s opening scripture, the Lord Jesus shows us that the secret to greatness is service. Great people serve because that’s the secret to their greatness.

David served his family by taking care of his father’s sheep, and because of this attitude, God promoted him to be king of His people, Israel. No wonder he’s thought to be the greatest king Israel ever had, and it all started from an attitude of service.

Learn to serve. When you’re asked to do chores at home or a task in school, don’t sulk or throw a fit; rather, like David, be humble and serve joyfully. This is the secret to greatness.

In the last three days, I’ve shared with you different kinds of prayer.

To have a rich fellowship with the Lord, you’ve got to pray. I call it praying from your heart, as described in today’s memory scripture; that’s earnest prayer. Praying from your heart makes prayer exciting and enjoyable.

To pray from your heart is to stay focused on what you’re praying about without distractions. This isn’t the time to think about ice cream or toys, nor is it the time to look around. No! It’s a time to concentrate on what you’re praying about. When you stay focused in prayer, it’ll be easy to hear from the Lord, and receive answers to your prayer too.

The Prayer of Agreement is when two or more people come together to pray about a particular thing or for someone.

Remember Daniel and his friends? King Nebuchadnezzar had a puzzling dream; he commanded all the wise men in his kingdom to tell him the dream and its meaning, but none of them could. Then, Daniel called his three friends, and they prayed about it, and God answered; He showed Daniel the dream and its interpretation (Daniel 2:17- 23).

Is there something or someone you would love to pray for? You can call on your friends to join their faith to yours as you pray about it; and you would have the miracle you desire.
