A few weeks ago I followed the steps for the XEP airdrop. I never launched the ECA desktop wallet since then, but I launched it just now. my ECA balance now correctly shows the amount of ECA I had before the ECA / XEP airdrop “rename and copy of the Electra folder”. I am glad to see this. 😁

Is staking ECA via the desktop wallet still active or should I do this another way?

install the wallet, search your data folder that contains the blockchain.files, paste the wallet.dat with the coins in, (or if you reanmed it before - now reaname it back to wallet.dat - so that only one wallet dat is in the folder) restart the wallet. Under Windows, the path to the folder is Users/your username/Appdata/Roaming/Electra - under MacOS, the folder is somewhere under Application support...

You can insert the same wallet.dat for a specific coin in as many Full-Node-wallets (like the Electra-Core wallet) of that coin as you like, and it doesn't make a difference what kind of OS you use, or if your other system has a different OS. As soon as it is fully synced, the coins will show in each version. (But even if you see them 10 times, you can only spend them once,😂

Thank you, but unfortunately, if you fail to sync the wallet, you cant send them to a donation adress.. 😞 While I dont really understand what your problem with sync is... But if you really want to donate them, you might try to send your private key in a private message... ❤️

You could try adding nodes or edit the Electra.conf file, adding files from the explorer - https://eca.ccore.online OR you could try the bootstrap that you find under pinned messages at /channel/Electracoin

The Electra Blockchain works still fine, but Mobile Wallets are offline, price crashed (but mostly already in november), and now the Exchange with the highest volume in the last few months has abruptly delisted Electra... Your talking about the Electra Core Desktop wallet, or mobile? For the Desktop wallet, you should just reverse the naming of folders for the airdrop, and than start again...

really appreciate your advice. tbh I think I'm done trying to recover my coins. it's shame I had a lot of faith on this project from the start. it's good you and others are trying to keep it opening but the hoops I have to jump through just to get a wallet working let alone trading on an exchange etc is too much for me anymore.
obviously financially it's a loss but more than that it leaves me unfulfilled just leaving my balance useless and unclaimed on the Blockchain. maybe I could donate it (for what it's worth in real terms in these days). to you ?

hi. thanks for the pky tool to recover mobile wallet private keys. I'm trouble with installing the desktop wallet on a Mac. it installs but syncing the Blockchain does nothing...says no connections.
unused the one on the bitcointalk.org topic.
it won't sync at all.
any ideas ? happy to pay a bounty to solve this if you can help.
