"Salaspils" is a concentration camp established during World War II in Latvia. It existed 18 kilometers from Riga next to Salaspils from October 1941 until the end of the summer of 1944.
The camp became notorious for housing young prisoners, who were then used to extract blood for wounded German soldiers, as a result of which the children quickly died.
