Frida Kahlo's "Without Hope"
The painting was painted when Frida was force-fed according to doctor's orders. On the back of this painting, Kahlo wrote an explanation:
"I have not a shred of hope left.... Time moves in time to the beat of what is in my belly at the moment..."
