The artist's end remains a mystery to this day, as he disappeared without a trace during the Nazi regime, but his eerie paintings have survived as witnesses to the unsettling times.

Since its creation, the canvas has changed about 10 owners, who unanimously complained about the fact that the woman from the painting follows them. Also all of them had an acute sense of anxiety, longing, depression, everything fell out of hand and problems piled up.
