The picture is based on real events. The action took place in the Italian city of Turin, near the train station. A 28-year-old girl Guida Rinino was walking past the station to visit her relatives. Judging by her smart clothes and a bouquet of flowers, she was going to some family celebration, perhaps someone's birthday.
As she turned onto a deserted path, an unknown man approached her and wanted to meet her. The lady firmly refused, but the man proved annoying. He walked beside her and did not lag behind, insisting on acquaintance. Then the girl couldn't stand it and hit him several times with a bouquet of roses, after which she ran away.
Guida went to the police and the story was publicized. It is not known whether the bully was found, but the moment of beating with flowers was immortalized by Molino Walter and gained popularity. Many jokes and memes have been made from this illustration. It is especially often used as a meme for the March 8 holiday.

The artist took the subject for the painting from real life. According to the artist, this case occurred in the family of his acquaintance. A childless intellectual couple adopted a boy, however, five years later his birth mother came to them and began to claim her rights to the child. The picture shows very well how the happiness of several people can be destroyed in one minute.
The adopted boy clearly did not know that he was adopted. Makovsky depicted him frightened and perplexed. The child considers his parents to be his own and cannot understand why a strange aunt wants to take him away. He clings to the one who raised him, his real, though not biological, mother.

British artist Tracey Emin exhibited her bed, in which she spent several depressive days. During them she had intimate relationships with people she didn't know, didn't eat and drank only alcohol.
The art object is as frank as possible: used condoms, yellow stains on the bedding, filled ashtrays.
So far, the success of the installation, which sold for 4.3 million dollars, has angered artists and viewers, who complain that everyone can display their bed. To which Emin replies: “But they didn't!”
