Sevottam is an assessment - improvement model that has been developed with the objective of improving the quality of public service delivery in the country. The model was conceived by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions in 2006.
Sevottam has also been launched as a certification scheme which provides for the award of the Sevottam symbol of excellence to public service organizations that implement and are able to show compliance to a set of management system requirements that have been specified in a specially created standard document. This standard, known as IS 15700:2005, was developed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) based on the objectives of Sevottam.

Gravitational lensing is a phenomenon wherein a huge amount of matter, such as a massive galaxy or cluster of galaxies, creates a gravitational field that distorts and magnifies the light from objects behind it, but in the same line of sight. In effect, these are natural, cosmic telescopes and are called gravitational lenses. These large celestial objects will magnify the light from distant galaxies that are at or near the peak of star formation. The effect allows researchers to study the details of early galaxies too far away to be seen otherwise with even the most powerful space telescopes.

The Simla Accord, or the Convention Between Great Britain, China, and Tibet, in Simla, was a treaty concerning the status of Tibet negotiated by representatives of the Republic of China Tibet and the United Kingdom in Simla in 1913 and 1914.
The Simla Conference 1945 was a meeting between the Viceroy and the major political leaders of British India at Simla, India, convened to agree on and approve the Wavell Plan for Indian self-government.
The Wavell Plan in essence, proposed the complete Indianisation of the Executive Council, but instead of asking all the parties to nominate members to the Executive Council from all the communities, seats were reserved for members on the basis of religion and caste, with the caste Hindus and Muslims being represented on it on the basis of parity. Even Mahatma Gandhi resented the use of the words ―caste Hindus.
While the plan proposed immediate changes to the composition of the Executive Council it did not contain any guarantee of Indian independence, nor did it contain any mention of a future constituent assembly or any proposals for the division of power between the various parties of India.

The Mission was transferred to the Department of Expenditure in July 2013 and continue to function till 14.9.2015. The Battle of Plassey was a decisive victory of the British East India Company over the Nawab of Bengal (Siraj-ud-Daulah) and his French allies on 23 June 1757, under the leadership of Robert Clive which was possible due to the defection of Mir Jafar Ali Khan, who was Siraj-ud-Daulah's commander in chief.
Major outcomes of Battle of Plassey:
1) After the Battle of Plassey Clive proclaimed Mir Jafar as the Nawab of Bengal and placed him on the throne of Murshidabad.
2) Mir Jafar in order to satisfy the English as per the agreement gave 24 Parganas of Bengal to the company as its Zamindari.
3) A great transformation came about in the position of the East India Company in Bengal as it monopolized the trade and commerce of Bengal.
The Treaty of Allahabad was signed on 12 August 1765, between the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II, son of the late Emperor Alamgir II, and Robert Clive, of the East India Company, in the aftermath of the Battle of Buxar of 22 October 1764.

Wave cyclones are also called Extratropical or mid-latitude cyclones. These are formed along the fronts between different air masses. The circulation about the cyclone center tends to produce a wavelike deformation of the front, hence the name.
Very high Sea Surface Temperature is associated with the formation of Tropical cyclones.
Formation of Polar Stratospheric clouds and creation of thunderstorms have no association with the formation of wave cyclones. The cold front within the cyclones, however, can witness thunderstorms. But it is not the cause, rather the effect of cyclone formation.

Harsha represented this kind of liberal spirit of his time. His ancestors were Saivites, his father was a devotee of the sun, and his brother was a Buddhist. Harsha became a devotee of all the three, Siva, Surya, and Buddha. In the later part of his reign, however, later he became an ardent Hinayana Buddhist.
Hiuen Tsang converted him to Mahayana Buddhism. Harsha became an exponent of the Mahayana form of Buddhism. It is suggested that his strong liking for Mahayanism was due to his close association with Hiuen Tsang.
Harsha organized a religious assembly at Kanauj (Kanauj Assembly) to honour the Chinese pilgrim Hiuen Tsang towards the close of his reign.
