The Mauryan pillars are rock-cut pillars and the shafts were monolithic, i.e. they were inscribed from a single piece of stone, mainly Chunar sandstones, thus they display carver’s skills. On the other hand, The Achaemenian pillars were made up of various pieces of sandstone cemented together by mason.
The Mauryan pillars were independently erected by royal diction. Inscriptions were engraved on these pillars and by having pillars inscribed with his messages on dhamma, Ashoka transformed them into epigraphic monuments of unique cultural meaning. The Achaemenian pillars were generally attached to the state buildings.
Most of the Achaemenian pillars have a fluted surface, while the Maurya pillars are smooth. The capitals of the Achaemenian columns are crowned with a cluster of stylized palm leaves and have two semi-bulls, lions, or unicorns seated back-to-back, or an upright or inverted cup, with double volutes on the top. The Maurya-type abacus and independent animals carved in the round crowning the pillars are absent in the Achaemenian context.

• The Aitchison Committee on Public Services (1886), was set up by Lord Dufferin on Congress demand. It recommended: dropping of the terms ‘covenanted’ and ‘uncovenanted’; classification of the civil service into Imperial Indian Civil Service (examination in England), Provincial Civil Service (examination in India) and Subordinate Civil Service (examination in India); and, raising the age limit to 23.

VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an internet tool that helps in easily creating a private network on a less secured public or home internet connection. Its primary job is to encrypt network traffic and mask the IP address and location. VPNs are used so that third party trackers such as Internet Service Provider (ISP), websites, malwares, spywares and other parties cannot identify about the download or upload on any device.
Even if a hacker manages to get hold of any online session, the information that they would get is encrypted. This makes VPNs one of the most crucial aspects of securing corporate data. The use of VPN is the first line of defence for any corporate connected to the internet. Without VPNs, competitors can use third-party trackers and target important employees online to extract confidential business data.

Answer - D
When the moons of exoplanets break away from their own orbits, went rogue and acts like a planet it is called Ploonet. It gets its name from Planet + moon = Ploonet.
As the exoplanets move inward toward their suns the orbits of their moons are often disrupted. So, the moon may run away from their exoplanets and could become ‘Ploonets '. This is because of the combined gravitational forces of the planet and the star. This gravitational force would inject extra energy into the moon’s orbit, pushing it farther from its planet until eventually it escapes. This process happens in every planetary system composed of a giant planet in a very close in orbit. As for Earth ’s own Moon, it is a potential ploonet. It moves about 4cm farther away from Earth every year. Going at this rate, it won’t break away from the Earth’s orbit for about next 5 billion years.

Cloud computing refers to the use of various services such as software development platforms, storage, servers, and other software through internet connectivity on a centralized cloud or data center or data storage location.
Edge Computing is regarded as ideal for operations with extreme latency concerns. Thus, medium scale companies that have budget limitations can use edge computing to save financial resources. It requires a robust security plan including advanced authentication methods and proactively tackling attacks. Whereas, Cloud Computing is more suitable for projects and organizations which deal with massive data storage. It requires less of a robust security plan as the cloud vendors manage the back-end applications and services.
