I feel like if we worked on adding some utility to egem by leveraging the existing node system for decentralized compute, storage and vpn services. More people would use it. At that point, egem price being the lowest would make using those services the cheapest solution available.

Yes, it is ridiculous to create a business model (dapp) which hugely depends on a price of a coin (or I should say on a failure of a coin).
fsec
So it's not a viable solution for saving money on fees. Basically if your dapp and other peoples dapps will be successful you will no longer pay small fees.
TosaDev
saying that developing on egem is a waste of a devs time or the only hope for egem is sfrx is where I disagree
Hammertime98
We know these things.......still no success in gaining new projects, people, traffic or even price. I know EGEM price is not the factor we should be focused on, but it is still a very real concern for many people.
TosaDev
try building a dapp where data interaction has a reasonable cost, even current l2 blockchains are a joke
fsec
To be honest I think only the release of sfrx could save this project. It's a waste of dev's time to work on nfts or anything else. There is no reason for people to use egem right now. NFTs wont change that. There is plenty of NFTs and defi projects on ethereum and other chains.
Pegasus24
i hope sfrx will be released also but egem does not solely depend on it imho
fsec
But there is no need to be defensive. I have invested quite a lot of money in egem. At least for me it's quite a lot. I hope sfrx will be finally released. 🙏
fsec
Aren't they going to match/exceed the fees on matic when lots of people will start using egem?
Hammertime98
Well, we haven't had success getting people to build here more often.....so that leaves us with what we have
TosaDev
the price indicates there is no development done/released (in combination with the emissions dragging the price down)
