From murders and manhunts, to public schools struggling to find the places and resources to accommodate 150 new Spanish speaking children a month, to alleged cartel activity, to over-stressed infrastructure and drainage.
There are criticisms to be made of local and state lawmakers, and county bureaucrats, who allowed this "Colonia" to be carved out of the East Texas pines, and of the exploitative capitalist republicans who are behind the scheme, but let's be frank about it: This is an issue of Race.
Despite all of the issues of infrastructure, shoddy business practices, and county resources being stretched thin, no one would be complaining if the residents of Colony Ridge were Norwegian.
