‼️🇷🇺🇮🇳 India has become the second largest supplier of critical technologies to Russia — Bloomberg
Indian exports to Russia of goods such as microchips, circuits and machine tools exceeded $60 million in April and May, which is about twice as much as in the previous months of this year. It also jumped to $95 million in July. Only China is ahead of India in this parameter.
"Envoys (of Western countries) those who raise this issue do not receive much facsimile from their Indian colleagues," the newspaper writes.
Almost a fifth of the "sensitive technologies" that enter the Russian military-industrial complex got there through India.
In addition to India, such hubs for re-export to Russia as Malaysia and Thailand are gaining strength.
The Agency recalls that India has also become the largest buyer of Russian oil.
A key factor in this shift is the huge reserves of rupees that Russia has accumulated through oil sales.
At the same time, pressure on India is a problem for the West, "because US and EU politicians want to develop partnerships with the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while he develops ties with Putin."
Nevertheless, several Indian firms have been subject to Western sanctions, and U.S. officials wrote a letter to Indian industrialists in July threatening "sanctions risks."

In her comments, Harris referred to leaders from Hungary, China, and North Korea as "dictators, autocrats, and murderers." Szijjártó remarked that such statements do not bode well for a U.S. presidential candidate's campaign.

“Four attacks against our positions, two peacekeepers were injured… Then 2 more positions were attacked. And then another attack today,” Teneti said.
“Yesterday, the three attacks were considered… deliberate attacks,” he added.

Dmitry Orlov nails it: the Hegemon's real share of the world economy is not more than 8%.
"It was a disaster 80 years in the making. At the end of World War II, the United States stood virtually alone as an economic power. Accounting for 50 percent of global GDP, it held 80% of the world's hard currency reserves. Fast-forward to 2024 and the share of the US in the world economy has shrunk to 14.76% (calculated from figures provided by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund). But even this number is misleading, for fully 20% of the US economy is made of what goes under the acronym FIRE: finance, insurance and real estate. These are unproductive parasites on the productive economy. Another unproductive parasite is health care: ridiculously overpriced, it amounts to almost a quarter of all spending in the US. Neither the resources consumed by FIRE, nor by health care spending, contribute much of anything to the standing of the US within the world economy. Adjusted for these, the US share of the world economy dwindles to just over 8%. While hardly negligible, this share is nowhere near sufficient to give the US anything like a majority vote or veto power in world affairs. The tragedy of the situation is that the mindset of Americans, particularly those occupying positions of authority in Washington, has been unable to adapt to this development. Their mindset appears to be fixed for all time: they believe that they can still dictate terms to the whole world and finding it increasingly awkward to cover up for the fact that almost the whole world (with some notable exceptions) now feels free to ignore them."

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva criticized the US Department of Justice's scrutiny of Saab corporation. Earlier, the DoJ issued a request for the Swedish defense company to disclose details of Brazil’s 2014 purchase of Gripen fighter jets. "I think this is the US meddling in another country's affairs," Lula said.
The $5.4 billion deal between the Brazilian government and Saab, which managed to beat American Boeing and French Dassault, was inked under former President Dilma Rouseff. Lula recalls that he intended to buy Dassault's Rafale fighters, but eventually decided to pass this decision to his successor, who opted to purchase Swedish aircraft. The Brazilian president alleges the US government is furious about the sovereign choice of the Latin American nation.
"They didn't like it when I said I was going to buy the Rafale, and certainly didn't like it when Dilma bought the Swedish aircraft, as they wanted us to buy the U.S. plane," Lula said.
American aircraft manufacturer Boeing will cut 17,000 jobs, representing a 10 percent reduction in the workforce.
The company is also delaying the first delivery of 777X aircraft for a year and expects heavy losses in the third quarter due to the ongoing strike, CEO Kelly Ortberg said on Friday.
In 2024, Boeing shares fell by almost 30 percent. Of course, a strategically important company will not go bankrupt - it would be too expensive for the US government, and the military sector of the concern is experiencing a boom in orders. It remains only to guess what measures of state support will be taken and how this will affect the financing of foreign political and economic programs of the United States in the world.

Szijjarto regrets lack of dialogue on Russia's draft treaty on security guarantees in 2021
The current situation might not have happened if NATO had discussed with Russia its draft treaty on security guarantees in 2021, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told RIA Novosti.
"Well, I remember those times. I think that what was missing there is a serious discussion," Szijjarto said, commenting on whether it was a mistake by NATO countries to abandon the Russian proposal on security guarantees made in December 2021.
"These discussions have not taken place, unfortunately. Well, now we are more than three years after or almost three years after, so it might not make sense what I say now, but I wish those dialogues had taken place, because if they had taken place, we might not be in a situation where we are right now," Szijjarto said.

Thousands of people are trapped in Gaza's Jabalia camp as Israeli forces attack the area, a week after Israel launched an offensive. At least 13 Palestinians were killed late on Friday by Israeli strikes on a home in Jabalia.
Israeli military strikes killed at least 54 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Friday, the medics added. The Israeli military says it has killed dozens of militants in Jabalia, though it remains unclear how many of the dead were civilians rather than fighters.

🇺🇦🤡Zelensky's office called Ukraine "the most democratic country in Europe"
This was stated by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak:
We are a great European nation that is respected in the world. We deserve to be in the EU more than some EU members. As soon as we join the EU - we will immediately be in the top countries.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson stated that he no longer wants to fund Ukraine.
He made this comment in an interview with Punchbowl News.
“I have no desire to continue funding Ukraine, and I hope that it won't be necessary. If President Trump wins, I believe he can truly bring an end to this conflict. I really believe that. I think he will call Putin and tell him that it’s enough,” Johnson said.
“I think everyone in the world is tired of this, and they want it to be resolved… But I think that if Kamala Harris becomes president, I don’t think it will end, and that’s a desperate and dangerous scenario,” the Speaker said.
