Me: Officer I have been working as associate software engineer for the past 2.5 years

Me: Yes officer, I previously faced a hard rejection for univ of Illinois Springfield

VO: Why Illinois ? Why are you attempting again for Illinois?
Me: Professor this time I am going with SIUC. I have universities approval from new Hampshire, Connecticut and Texas as well.

VO: Did you take a loan ? Is you education loan still valid
Me: Actually officer I had a non collateral loan earlier. I have now approval from sbi , collateral loan. (I stressed the word collateral loan).

VO: What is the income source of your parents?
Me: Officer, my father is working in LIC , life insurance Corp for past 29 years and he makes 15 lakhs per annum.
My mother is a postal employee and both together earn 22 lakhs of income with farming income of 10 lakhs .
Was interrupted.

VO: Is your loan collateral ? Is it from LIC ?
Me: No no officer LiC is not a banking, my father is LIC employee and my loan is from state Bank of India and collateral education loan

VO: Are you still working after your previous rejection.
Me: Yes officer I didn't resign my job. My first preference is job at wipro in my home country, so didn't resign even though I had plans for us education

VO: Welcome to Illinois , your visa is approved Mam.
Me: Thank you officer . I was relieved.
Tips: my recommendation to new students. This is my second attempt. I have observed many students in Hyderabad consulate appearing for almost same list of schools . It cannot be a coincidence right ? Like three people who got rejected in multiple counters are all going for same school . This happened within hour of waiting. Most of the students are giving blunt answers with fake confidence.
The rejections are not only because students are all going to low profile schools, they never worked in USA or academically oriented. So prepare on your own and avoid regular schools that everyone apply. I learnt that lesson after my first rejection and wasting a lot of time. Please don't waste your time going for low profile private and state universities. Just do your research and apply with fair financials.
I also removed HDFC credila and went with a national bank collateral loan. I have observed during my first visa rejection , how visa officers are all stressing loan and source of income. All the best

Me: Be confident, dress formally and if possible greet the officer beforehand with a smile (Your first impression decides 90% of the outcome of the interview)
Don’t panic, yes there are many rejections in front of you, just be confident and don’t memorise your answers just memorise some pointers that you fill in your answers and keep your answer within 30secs its not a long interview (Mine was 2mins at max)
My officer was a female and her mic was really loud, everyone in the room can hear whether she is accepting for the rejecting the person and by the my chance came she was rejected many peoples also she rejected the application just before me
But she was really friendly and chill, i personally complimented her hindi ascent and joked about about that i am taking in Rupees and not in dollars and she took the jokes in a very friendly way

VO: Suggestion?
Me: Be honest and be confident and have a clear idea where you are going and what all subjects you will be taking and what are your goals after graduation
Its not a dificult interview, they want people to for education, they reject the ones who either dont have a clear idea of there journey in US or are just not confident enough

Me: Yes officer, I applied for Clark University for my stem MBA previously.

Me: Officer, actually Clark is rated in top 12 in New England for MBA program...interrupted.
Visa officer: Mam, did you apply through agents ?
Me: I was confused, and silently answered as No, I applied on my own.
Visa officer: Mam , you are not the first or the last. I have seen hundreds of students applying for low fee schools through agents. (He mumbled something..) And these agents get 3000$ commission from your first term school free through regular invoices. We are going to strictly take actions going forward with any hint of students applying through agents. We observe a trend of low profile private schools. Please students like you with 8.6 gpa should know much better.
Me: absolutely silent, at this point I know it is rejected again
Visa officer: Is your social media still active ?
Me: yes officer , I shared them in ds 160 filing
Visa officer: did your agent filled your day 160 , because it shows someone else social media links
Me: silent again.
It appears my broker copy pasted wrong ds 160 link in to my account. Even though I created and filled my da 160, my broker filled some additional details . He has access to email and password.
Visa officer: please apply again on your own.
Me: thank you officer, lesson learnt
Visa officer: Good luck next time.

I am 100% sure I am going to secure the visa in third attempt.
I am dropping my experience here. Please avoid agents at any cost. Especially the ones in Hyderabad. All of them are the same.. they send you to 15-20 universities that they have tie up. They get commission from your school fee and you are left with masters degree with no graduate assitanship on on campus jobs or coop program career fairs. At end of the day it's your hard earned parents money.

VO: Ok, you are going to University of North Texas?
Me: Yes Officer, I am going to university of North Texas

VO: Which Course your enrolling in UNT?
Me: Computer Science Officer.

VO: Which Courses are you interested in Computer Science?
Me: Officer, I am intrested in AI and Data Science Courses.

VO: Why AI?
Me: Officer, AI is a growing in tech industry, I am fasinated about how Ai machines mimic human behaviour.That the reason in am interested in AI.

Then she started typing for 15 to 20sec and said to scan my left four fingers and rejected. What may be the reason. I wanted to apply again, I also got admit from UTA should i change the university or should i apply for same University. Please help me with your suggestions.

Me: Explained about my course (ITM) ciricullum, and how it is related to my job role , and the key areas of this course like , IT project management, system analysis, infrastructural planning .... & How it aligns with my future goals.

VO: How many universities did you apply?
Me: Apart from this , 2 ,they are rivier , saint leo university.

VO: How many admits have you got?
Me: Fortunately got admits from those two also.

VO: Tell me about rivier university & why didn't u go with rivier university
Me: I considered rivier university, but compared with webster,i thought it is a regional university whereas webster has the global representation and has a practical circulam where rivier is lacking, That made choose webster over rivier

VO: Where do u work ?
Me: I work in ××××× company and have 2.8 years of experience in web development officer

VO: Where are you going to stay in USA ?
Me: I'm planning to stay on campus officer.

VO: Who is sponsoring you ?
Me: My father is sponsoring me with his xxx savings , apart from that i have secured an education loan of xx amount, on top of that i have received 15% of scholarship on my tution fees .

VO: Place your left hand four fingers . She said I'm approving ur visa (i didn't here it , i thought it was rejected, bcoz 3 refusals before me)
Me: I just saw my passport going into the tray , & she gave me back i20. I just said thankyou mam ...

She said : njy ur stay in usa.

VO: Tips to get over , 1st is the best time so give it all out.
Me: Key is confidence.... Uni rankings are ok but u can overcome them with strong intent of pursuing masters ....
