It’s too bad that no one discovered the corruption of Albemarle Circuit Court earlier.
Worrell has already heard bail hearings and accepted plea deals. I only got involved with research in July. With a couple days of work and one FOIA request I turned up both Worrell and Tufts’ conflicts of interest and passed on the info. Maybe someone else realized this too… I don’t know, but it certainly wasn’t realized before July.
It’s good that some lawyers and defendants got this information one way or another. I congratulate them on making good use of it.
If you have already taken a plea deal, I’m sorry no one realized this sooner. What happened to you was profoundly unjust. But it isn’t too late. You can still file a complaint against Worrell with the VA Judicial Inquiry and Review Commission.
By not disclosing that he was (almost certainly) a material witness, he clearly violated Virginia’s “canons of judicial conduct”.
In your complaint, you should cite Canon 1; D; 1(d):
“A judge must recuse himself or herself in a proceeding in which the judge’s impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to instances where… (d) the judge is a material witness in the matter”
And Canon 1; D; 4-5:
“A judge should disclose information that the judge believes the parties or their lawyers might reasonably consider relevant to the question of disqualification, even if the judge believes there is no real basis for disqualification.”

You’ll be tempted to try and hurry things up. “I have to get back to work/family/responsibilities”. As much as you can, you need to put your life on hold. You don’t want to end up taking a deal that could well ruin your work and family life.
Your right to a speedy trial does not mean that you should give up your right to fight extradition and to file every relevant motion and make complaints.
The evil and incompetent Albemarle Circuit Courts thought they could get away with a blatantly political series of prosecutions. "Secret indictments". They are arrogant thugs. Don't let them get out of this easy. Make them answer for what they've done.
