The main warning is coming from China Evergrande Group, which is unable to pay for its loans, according to reports. Today, the company has announced it would suspend trading of its main unit’s onshore corporate bonds. Also, Chinese authorities slowed approvals for video games.
📈 The price of gas has cooled down after reaching the record high of 5.68.
☄️The oil prices surged yesterday as the Energy Information Administration posted a decline of 6.4 million barrels held in US inventories. The price of Bent jumped to 75.5, while WTI strengthened to 72.87.
🗒️ The US House approved the biggest set of US tax increases on Wednesday. The set is aimed at corporations and wealthy people.
⬇️Australia posted mixed job data during the Asian trading session. The employment change declined by 146.3K jobs (lower than expected -78.5K), but the unemployment rate reached a better-than-expected 4.5%. AUD/USD has weakened but keeps trading near yesterday’s levels.
🏹 Another Antipodean, NZD, has got positive news today. New Zealand’s GDP for the second quarter outperformed estimates of +1.4% and increased by 2.8%.

🇺🇲US inflation released yesterday was lower than forecast in August but still elevated, leaving the debate about whether price pressures are transitory unresolved. In the 12 months through August, the core CPI increased 4.0% after advancing 4.3% in the 12 months through July.
🇨🇳China’s economy weakened further in August after stringent virus controls curbed consumer spending and travel. Retail sales growth slowed to 2.5% from a year ago, much lower than the 7% forecast.
🛢Oil gained after a US industry report showed a drop in inventories of crude and gasoline. XBR/USD is at $73.87 a barrel.
📱Consumer electronics giant Apple on Tuesday introduced its 15th-generation smartphones, the iPhone 13 series. The new handsets feature brighter displays, faster processors, and improved cameras. However, Apple stock fell on the news.
📈BTC/USD formed a golden cross on the D1. Support lies at $46,000.

United States’ Bureau of Labor Statistics will release monthly CPI and core CPI on September 14, 15:30 GMT+3.
What will happen?
United States’ Bureau of Labor Statistics will release monthly CPI and core CPI at 15:30 GMT+3. The Consumer Price Index measures the average change in prices that consumers pay for a basket of goods and services. The CPI statistics cover a variety of individuals with different incomes, including retirees, but does not include certain populations, such as patients of mental hospitals.
Why is it important?
Investors, traders, banks, and governments are watching CPI data because it is the most widely used measure of inflation. If the inflation rate is high (or higher than expected), banks will probably raise interest rates in order to slow inflation. Almost every release of CPI has been accompanied by massive movements in USD-related assets and USD currency pairs. June saw an unusually high MoM CPI data and it has caused a surge in USD.
How to trade on the CPI data?
Due to the importance of CPI data, it may influence all USD pairs greatly. Furthermore, you can watch after other events related to USD and combine them to catch an even greater price movement.
⬆If actual numbers will beat expectations – the USD will rise.
⬇Otherwise, fall.

🔺Aluminum hits $3,000 for first time in 13 years because of supply disruptions and demand rise.
🌪 After hurricane Ida about 1.1 million barrels of daily oil production is shuttered in the Gulf of Mexico, pushing the US Crude price above $70.0 per barrel.
💶 Economists say that Euro-area inflation will peak 3.2% in the fourth quarter, almost twice the estimated ECB rate. Main factors for inflation are problems with supply chains (thus, price is higher) and energy costs.
⚒ ECB President Christine Lagarde said that Europe has an employment problem with more than 2 million fewer people employed than before the pandemic.
