Netherlands v Germany - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League A Group A3 Photo by Lars Baron/Getty Images The Bayern Munich youngster is taking it one step at a time. It is not always on the up and up.That is a lesson Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala knows too well, having endured recent seasons of adversity with the Rekordmeister. With the German men’s national team, the trajectory has been mostly positive of late — which makes Tuesday’s 2-2 draw on the road vs. the Netherlands a setback of sorts.Even if it was just the Nations League. The 21-year-old struck a circumspect tone after the match.“They had their chances, we had our chances. It’s a process,” Musiala said in remarks captured via @iMiaSanMia. “We have to take it game by game and get better. Today not everything worked like against Hungary [against whom Germany won 5-0 on Saturday]. We have to take steps forward in the next games. We have to be more secure with the ball and convert our chances. But there are also positives to take. The atmosphere in the team is good and we’re enjoying being on the pitch.”The youngster is stepping ever more into a leading role on the pitch both for club and country — leading a German attacking line alongside Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen), Kai Havertz (Arsenal FC), and Deniz Undav (VfB Stuttgart). And though the Germans conceded twice, it could have been more had it not been for Musiala’s own heroic efforts tracking back and making last-ditch defensive interventions — at once point celebrated ferociously by team captain and right-back Joshua Kimmich. For now, it is back to club football for Musiala, who returns to action with Bayern Munich on Saturday at Holstein Kiel. Germany’s next match in UEFA Nations League Group A action will be at Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 11th.Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Germany’s 2-2 draw with the Netherlands? Netherlands v Germany - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League A Group A3 Photo by Lars Baron/Getty Images That could have been better... The Germany national team and the Netherlands battled to a 2-2 draw at Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam that left a lot of German fans unfulfilled. It was a game of “could have”, “should have” and — while not wholly unexpected — definitely frustrated fans of Die Mannschaft. BFW’s Marclk made his solo podcast debut to break down the match, so give it a listen as he covers everything from A to Z that went down in a match that many likely feel should have mad a much different outcome. Well, at least we all have Bayern Munich ready to strike back into action this weekend. Netherlands v Germany - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League A Group A3 Photo by Rene Nijhuis/MB Media/Getty Images Another strong attacking performance from Germany, unfortunately, the result was let down by a dreadful defensive effort. Jersey Swap: Denzel DumfriesThe obvious choice here is Dumfries. Dumfries was physical and an offensive threat all game. Dumfries even picked up the 2-2 equalizing goal.Der Kaiser: Joshua KimmichThe defence certainly wasn’t the highlight of Germany’s squad this game. With almost the entire backline booked within 30 minutes, the issues weren’t going anywhere. However, the new captain led the team and even found the right place to be and gave Germany the 2-1 advantage before half.Fußballgott: Aleksandar PavlovićPavlović was a clear improvement to the starting midfield in this game, and made some great attacking contributions in the last few minutes of the game. The Bayern Munich youngster is a no-brainer to start in the next window.Der Bomber: Denis UndavUndav wasn’t exceptional but scored Germany’s opening goal and really opened up the game for Die Mannschaft. Undav unfortunately missed a wide-open breakaway that would have given Germany the essential 3-2 lead.Meister of the Match: Jamal MusialaMusiala is continuing is red-hot form with the national team, and consistently caused problems for the Dutch all game long. His constant speed, dribbling, and distribution is wearing down teams and quick. His interception was crucial to Germany’s first goal and shows just how effective he can be even off the score sheet. What did you think of our award selection? Who else deserves a shout? Germany v Hungary -UEFA Nations league Photo by Geert van Erven/Soccrates/Getty Images The German national team has always had a leadership council, but Nagelsmann has made his own tweaks to it. Former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann seems to have found the right recipe for what makes the German national team tick. One would be hard pressed to find fans that were not proud of Germany’s outing at the EUROs, having only lost to the eventual winners of the tournament, Spain — and Germany could have won the match if a few calls had gone the other way. They did not show any signs of a hangover from the aforementioned quarter-finals loss to Spain when they thrashed Hungary 5-0 in Düsseldorf in the UEFA Nations League, setting a marker for what is to come under Nagelsmann in the buildup to the 2026 World Cup. There is plenty of reason to be hopeful and optimistic for German football fans with the brand of football Nagelsmann has them playing. It was recently revealed that the former Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, and TSG Hoffenheim manager has centered his internal player leadership council around defensive leadership in what was once spearheaded by Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng, Toni Kroos and Thomas Müller, all of whom are not currently playing for the national team. Now, Joshua Kimmich is the captain of the team and at the head of the internal hierarchy of players, followed by Marc-André ter Stegen, Pascal Groß, and Antonio Rüdiger. In a press conference ahead of the Nations League clash with the Netherlands, Nagelsmann stressed the importance of having this internal group of players act as leadership liaisons for the rest of the squad. “You always have to weigh up the current situation we are in and then it’s about developing a long-term perspective, because there’s a World Cup in two years. It could be that players are here now and are the right fit for the team, but they won’t be here in two years. That’s why we’re doing quite well with the path we’ve chosen,” he explained (via @iMiaSanMia). Germany Training And Press Conference Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images For now, there is a clear structure in place, balance within the team, and a clear vision under Nagelsmann. All of the right tools are in the right place for the team to have continued success in the buildup to the next World Cup and the qualifying process for it. Of course, there could always be some personnel changes along the way to his leadership council, but it exists for a reason. In case you missed it, France Football left Jamal Musiala out of their Ballon d’Or top 30, which has sparked anger among the Bayern Munich fanbase and executives alike. If you want to know why it’s such a big deal, we covered it in our newest podcast episode, alongside a discussion about Florian Wirtz vs Paul Wanner and whom Bayern Munich should get first. Germany v Hungary - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League A Group A3 Photo by Marvin Ibo Guengoer - GES Sportfoto/Getty Images But will it be at Bayern Munich or Bayer Leverkusen? The young firecrackers are sparkling for Germany. Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz led the way for the German attack this summer at EURO 2024 and they are picking up right where they left off after dazzling in the Nations League, each scoring in a 5-0 win over Hungary on Saturday. Each 21-year-old is instrumental to his respective club while operating in central attacking midfield or inverting wing roles — which has made Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann’s work in combining them into the same XI all the more impressive.Maybe that’s caught the attention of some sporting directors — in the Bundesliga or beyond. At Monday’s press conference ahead of Germany’s next international fixture, Tuesday’s match vs. the Netherlands, Nagelsmann fielded questions about whether he could see the pair teaming up at club level, too.“I can imagine that, but it will be very expensive. Flo’s contract in Leverkusen was made by [DFB chief Rudi Völler]. Who knows, maybe Jamal will go to Leverkusen too,” Nagelsmann cracked in comments captured by Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau (via @iMiaSanMia). “Either way, it will be expensive to bring the two together at club level.”Well — Bayern Munich may be planning to try to do just that in the next summer transfer window. And the best part? The factor that could be key to making these two shine together? Their team-first mentality. “Neither of them is selfish at all in the game,” Nagelsmann continued (again via @iMiaSanMia). “Flo in particular is sometimes even too unselfish, he can score more often himself instead of passing the ball. Both are extremely hard-working, and that hasn’t diminished at all. I don’t have the feeling that either of them could lose touch with reality. They’re down-to-earth.”In case you missed it, France Football left Jamal Musiala out of their Ballon d’Or top 30, which has sparked anger among the Bayern Munich fanbase and executives alike. Manchester United FC v Liverpool FC - Premier League Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images Even though De Ligt is playing under the Dutch manager again, he claimed that had nothing to do with the move. Matthijs de Ligt leaving Bayern Munich for Manchester United along with Noussair Mazraoui during the summer transfer window left a bitter taste in the mouths of the greater majority of Bayern fans. For De Ligt in particular, he genuinely seemed like he was going to go on to become one of the true leaders in the center of defense for the Rekordmeister.Since he had joined Bayern from AFC Ajax, there had been a decent amount of shuffling, experimenting, and rotating between Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel with regards to the preferred center-back pairing. Last season under Tuchel, though, De Ligt became one of the mainstays at center-back, most often alongside Eric Dier for most of the second half of the season after the winter transfer window. For Bayern, there was an emphasis placed on trying to help alleviate the overall wage bill at the club during the transfer window, but Hiroki Ito’s injury in a preseason friendly has not done wonders for the optics of letting both De Ligt and Mazraoui go. De Ligt was a high earner at the club, but there were other players that could have been focused on to help lower the collective wage bill. For De Ligt, there was a reunion with manager Erik ten Hag with his arrival at Manchester United. The center back played under the Dutch manager during his tenure with Ajak, but he recently admitted that it was not sole the reason he left Bayern this summer. “Erik ten was is not the only reason I joined Manchester United. We are talking about Manchester United here, one of the biggest clubs in the world. There is a lot of pressure because the fans are used to things from the past, now it is up to us,” he recently explained to Dutch outlet Vandaag Inside (as per CaughtOffside). So far for United, De Ligt has made a total of three appearances for United in the Premier League, only one of which was a start. His prospects with the Dutch national team is also something to consider with his decision to move to United, as he barely played at the Euros for the Netherlands after Bayern’s season as a whole was well below par, even though he did not have a bad individual season, per se. England v Finland - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League B Group B2 Photo by Crystal Pix/MB Media/Getty Images Kane delivered a brace on his special night. In Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League match against Finland, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane earned his 100th international cap for England. Kane already sits atop the scoring leaderboard for the Three Lions but is now within 25 appearances of catching goalkeeper Peter Shilton.Kane could’ve taken it easy on his historic night, but the competitive drive is clearly too strong. Kane broke the deadlock in the 57th minute and put the match away in the 76th minute. UEFA Nations League - League A, Group A3The Netherlands v Germany Photo by ANP via Getty Images Postscript to an ugly affair. It is never ideal when refereeing becomes the story of a match, but that proved unavoidable in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw between Germany and the Netherlands in UEFA Nations League action.Germany was in the middle of a promising attack when the final whistle blew — to the palpable disbelief of its players as well as manager Julian Nagelsmann. Italian referee Davide Massa was immediately swarmed with protestations over the result, as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia:Nagelsmann and his players protesting about the referee not letting the last attack play out and blowing the whistle pic.twitter.com/lAm4opufR8— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) September 10, 2024Although it occurred shortly after the allotted minimum three minutes of extra time were up, the final whistle is usually reserved for a clearer stoppage of play — as clearly the Germans expected. Tensions were up, too, after the match — a brawling, physical affair — ended with four yellow cards for the Germans and none for the Dutch.Nagelsmann did not shy away from commenting on the situation in the post-match press conference.“We had a great chance taken away in the last second when we were running towards the goal alone. I don’t quite understand it,” Nagelsmann said in comments captured via @iMiaSanMia before addressing a separate German penalty claim as well. “A clear penalty. [Dutch winger Xavi] Simons clearly came too late and hit Jamal [Musiala] on the foot. I don’t think we can disagree on that. If it were in midfield, you’re guaranteed to get a foul for that.”Musiala was fouled and manhandled throughout the match, but that is nothing new for the slippery Bayern attacker. At one point the Bayern Munich star went down after contact, falling onto the ball — only to be whistled for a free kick the other way. But though he vented his frustrations on the pitch, the 21-year-old was determined to stay out of the fray afterwards.“I don’t want to talk a lot about the referee in front of the camera. But I felt many decisions didn’t go our way today. We have to look at ourselves and make sure we improve,” Musiala said in his post-game remarks (as also captured by @iMiaSanMia).What did you think? How was the refereeing in this one?

Holland v Germany -UEFA Nations league Photo by Roy Lazet/Soccrates/Getty Images Fought to a standstill. Aura shatteredWho says nobody cares about the Nations League? From the moment the Dutch national anthem began to play, the Johan Cruyff Arena roared to life. Just like that this was not the exuberant home team of EURO 2024, nor the dominating side that smashed Hungary 5-0 last weekend — but the second-most confident in a hostile stadium. This Netherlands side proved its gumption from the off. Even before AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders landed a shocking opening blow in the 2nd minute, the Dutch press had Germany reeling — backing itself into corners in build-up, forced into desperate clearances and dicey cross-field passes in defense. Any overall team strength deficits the Dutch might have had, they more than made up for it with initiative and physicality.By halftime, Joshua Kimmich was sporting a torn shirt collar and Deniz Undav had a cotton stuffed in his nose. The glass half full view says this was good practice for Germany — who have faced this horror show too many times before, having to battle back down 1-0 against determined opposition. The resilience the Germans displayed in fighting back — to take a 2-1 lead, only to succumb to a thoroughly deserved second concession after waves of Dutch pressure to start the second half — is at least somewhat reassuring. The pessimist’s takeaway, though, is that Germany left its first post-EUROs matchup against top-level competition with more questions than answers.Defense in the spotlightBoth teams hauled off a center-back at half-time, and deservingly. Ronald Koeman substituted former Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt after a dreadful display and Julian Nagelsmann removed current Bayern transfer target Jonathan Tah after, well:Jonathan Tah has lost all his 5 duels in the first half (4 ground, 1 aerial). #NEDGER pic.twitter.com/Mno18kRwA5— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) September 10, 2024It is hard to immediately put a finger on what went wrong for the German defense. Tah and center-back partner Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund) were seemingly dragged out of position at will by the Netherlands, who played vertically or in transition with far too much ease. Germany’s offensive aggression frequently came back to bite, with less-than-pacy Robert Andrich (Bayer Leverkusen) — nominally the more defensive midfielder in the new double pivot — getting caught upfield and having to scamper fruitlessly after Dutch ball-carriers on multiple occasions. But tactics aside, it was simply not a promising display. Tah and Schlotterbeck both lapsed in concentration in key moments — at one point Tah seeming to fall asleep while tracking Dutch forward Brian Brobbery in transition, allowing the latter free space to receive in the German box — and this is not new for either of them. Manuel Neuer’s absence is also being felt. FC Barcelona No. 1 Marc-André ter Stegen is a fine shot-stopper in his own right, but Neuer brought a swagger — especially to build-up — that is all but gone now. Germany needs at least solidity at the back. Perhaps we’ll be seeing more of Waldemar Anton in the future.Midfield MIANagelsmann’s most notable substitutions came midway through the second half, when he replaced his entire midfield pivot — Andrich and Pascal Groẞ (BVB) making way for Emre Can and Aleksandar Pavlović.Pavlović, especially, was a difference-maker, injecting much-needed dynamism into the German engine room. It is evident the Bayern youngster has been studying club teammate Joshua Kimmich, developing an eye for dangerous passes over the top. Pavlović showed bravery going into challenges as well, spurring a tempo increase to Germany’s game as exemplified by the two double-chances he made shortly before the 70th minute — slipping Kai Havertz in near goal before winning the ball back deep in midfield minutes later and driving forward once more. With Andrich and Groß starting, Germany looked stilted today. The pivots were left lobbing the ball over to the…

Germany v Hungary - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League A Group A3 Photo by Marvin Ibo Guengoer - GES Sportfoto/Getty Images Is the old Germany back? Let’s find out! Germany are back to being good again, but is that good enough to beat anyone decent? Well, if they can beat the Netherlands tonight, it would go a long way towards putting all doubts to bed. Julian Nagelsmann seems to have cracked the code, which apparently involves limiting the Bayern Munich influence on his squad as much as possible. Sure, Jamal Musiala still exists, and Joshua Kimmich is still the captain — but two starters and four players total is a far cry from the 2014 World Cup winning squad. Still, if the good performances in this “new era” continue, no one will complain. It’s been a long time since the Germans were actually good. In case you missed it, France Football left Jamal Musiala out of their Ballon d’Or top 30, which has sparked anger among the Bayern Munich fanbase and executives alike. UEFA Champions League 2017-18 - Real Madrid vs Tottenham Hotspur FC Photo by Power Sport Images/Getty Images Kane is smart, he knows that the internet would have erupted in fury if he would have praised just one of them There have been whispers recently that Harry Kane may be slowing down. After a poor European Championship performance relative to his own standards (though ending up joint winner of the Golden Boot means he wasn’t too bad, right) in which he simply did not seem physically up to speed, there have been concerns about the 31-year-old Bayern Munich player’s ability to stay at the top level. After so many years and so many injuries, perhaps now Kane is slowing down?Speaking ahead of England’s game against Finland, in which Harry Kane could earn his 100th cap (appearance) for the Three Lions if he plays, reporters asked the former Tottenham striker about this achievement and asked how many more he could caps he could win after this one. ‘At your age’ were the unspoken words at the end of this sentence. But Kane took the question in stride, with @iMiaSanMia capturing him speaking of how fit he feels he is: “I feel in really good shape, physically and mentally at a peak in my career. Watching Ronaldo score his 901st goal aged 39 inspires me to play for as long as possible. I love representing England more than anything and I don’t want it to end any time soon. It’s just about continuing to improve and be consistent. Who knows how many caps or goals I can get but I’m hungry for more.”Later in the press conference, a reporter asked about the connection to Ronaldo Kane brought up and if Kane had any relationship with the man he played against throughout the Portuguese’s time at Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid. Kane’s response reads as follows:“Ronaldo -and Messi- were people I looked up to growing up, they were in their prime when I was in my teenage years. Both of them were inspirations to me. To have that hunger and desire and determination and the sense to keep proving people wrong and prove to yourself you can be the best you can be. I try to use different players to motivate me. To score over 900 goals in your career is an exceptional record, to play until the age he is is really inspiring.”To see Kane reach that age at Bayern and not decline would be the dream, wouldn’t it? Even if he were to reach that age, having scored 900 goals and equalling Ronaldo seems like a big ask. But hey, why not believe in it? It’s just one more way Kane can again defy the odds and prove us all wrong. In case you missed it, France Football left Jamal Musiala out of their Ballon d’Or top 30, which has sparked anger among the Bayern Munich fanbase and executives alike. FC Bayern Munich v WSG Tirol - Pre-Season Friendly Photo by Marcel Engelbrecht - firo sportphoto/Getty Images What a player man...what a player Adam Aznou would experience a bitter disappointment in October 2023. Rising through Bayern Munich’s academy, being a key player at U-19 level and being billed as a phenomenal talent was not enough for Morocco’s U-17 head coach, Said Chiba, to nominate the youngster for November 2023’s U-17 World Cup. Aznou would have undoubtedly been frustrated to have missed out on a such a big event. But 11 months later, things have turned around drastically. It was a shock to see Aznou’s name on the list for the Morocco senior national team, but that shock paled in comparison to the reveal that Aznou would start Morocco’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Lesotho. It is worth keeping in mind that, at the time of writing, Lesotho rank 149th in FIFA’s Men’s World Ranking and Morocco did leave heavy hitters such as Brahim Díaz, Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui on the bench, so Morocco likely expected little fight from their opponents and to collect a comfortable victory. But a fight it was for Aznou and Morocco, as a tough stalemate forced many of the heavy hitters to come off the bench, with only Díaz’ 93rd minute winner able to rescue all three points for the 2022 World Cup semifinalists. But though Real Madrid player Díaz got the late glory, Morocco would also have to thank former FC Barcelona youngster Aznou for his glorious performance en route to the victory. @iMiaSanMia captured his Sofascore stats:Adam Aznou: Man of the match in his Morocco debut 90 minutes played 92 touches 47 accurate passes (92%)21/27 duels won6/8 dribbles completed 6/6 long balls 3 tackles 1 interception 8.7/10 rating 21 duels won stands out as an incredibly impressive stat for the rather slight left-back, but the rest of the stats paint a very impressive picture as well. What a turnaround this is for young Aznou’s Moroccan career, going from snubbed from the U-17 World Cup to starting and starring for Morocco in a crucial qualifying match. If it was Aznou’s goal to make sure he would not be snubbed for any major competitions again, he could not have done a better job of making his point with this performance. May his future with the national team (and Bayern) be bright. Germany v Hungary - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League A Group A3 Photo by Boris Streubel/Getty Images The future is bright... Following the retirement of regulars İlkay Gündoğan and Toni Kroos and the permanent relocation of Joshua Kimmich to right-back has left Germany’s midfield rather open for anyone to stake their claim. Pascal Groß and Robert Andrich started the 5-0 win over Hungary and may be the immediate present of Germany’s midfield, but the future is not far away. And that future is represented by Bayern Munich’s Aleksandar Pavlović and VfB Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller, who are making their first experiences in and amongst the Germany national team. Right now, it is just necessary for them to make a good first impression. Head coach Julian Nagelsmann spoke about the two, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, and believes that they done so: “Both are making a very good impression. Both are very brave and want to have the ball. There was never a moment where I felt they were shy or hiding. They’re also funny guys and have the necessary humility. They don’t act like ‘young showmen’.”Both were able to come off the bench and contribute against Hungary, which is another step in their integration. As long as they keep their head down and work hard, they will go far.Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Germany’s 5-0 destruction of Hungary? FC Bayern Munich Training Session Photo by S. Mellar/FC Bayern via Getty Images Real Madrid might have competition for Alphonso Davies... Why Gunners, City could be in the mix for Davies, too (The Hard Tackle)Real Madrid has long been thought to be the frontrunner to land Alphonso Davies next summer. Recently, however, it has been revealed that both Arsenal FC and Manchester City are going to attempt to lure the Canadian to England. Let’s take a look at why both clubs have interest in the 23-year-old speedster: Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly keen on sealing a Bosman move for 23-year-old Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies, a target for Real Madrid.According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, Arsenal and Manchester City are keen on signing Alphonso Davies in a Bosman move in the 2025 summer transfer window. However, the two Premier League bigwigs believe the 23-year-old Bayern Munich full-back wants to join Real Madrid, with Los Blancos eager to secure his services next year.Arsenal can do with a player of Alphonso Davies’s qualities. Kieran Tierney is the only natural left-back in the first-team squad at Arsenal, although he is not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans. The Spanish tactician has preferred utilising versatile players like Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jurrien Timber, and Takehiro Tomiyasu as left-backs. So, the Bayern Munich star is a viable target for Arsenal.Meanwhile, Manchester City’s interest in Alphonso Davies is understandable. Pep Guardiola has played without a recognised left-back since Benjamin Mendy’s days as a regular for the Premier League champions. So, the Canadian international has emerged as a viable target for Manchester City. However, Arsenal and Manchester City believe he wants to join Real Madrid, although they will still look to beat Los Blancos to his signature.Wirtz might be apple of Madrid’s eye (OK Diario via 90Min.com)Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz was tremendous during Germany’s 5-0 win over Hungary on Saturday — and it is performances like that, which have put him at the forefront of Real Madrid’s transfer interest: Another midfielder being eyed by Real Madrid is Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz. Vitinha is also appreciated by Los Blancos, but their relationship with PSG has broken down after the Kylian Mbappe saga and they do not believe the French champions will do business with them. While Madrid might really want Wirtz, it might be very difficult for the team to afford him given the exorbitant salaries on the squad, plus some of the hefty transfers fees already plopped down for other players. One wild card in in a potential deal could be the presence of Xabi Alonso. If the Leverkusen coach makes the move to Madrid, it could help the Spaniards land Wirtz. Bavarian Podcast Works — Flagship Show: Season 7, Episode 7 (Bavarian Football Works)Once again, a Bayern Munich star has been snubbed from a major award shortlist. Yes, that’s right — Jamal Musiala hasn’t made it onto France Football’s top Ballon d’Or Top 30. The longstanding agenda against Bayern Munich continues. Ribéry 2013, Neuer 2014, Lewandowski 2020, 2021 ... and now this.Paul Wanner has been incredible for Heidenheim this season so far, and is starting to turn heads. The player might even receive a call up to the German National team soon. This could bode really well for Bayern Munich, who would be looking to replace the footballing legend that is one Thomas Müller.Meanwhile, Florian Wirtz has also been tearing it up for Germany alongside teammate Jamal Musiala. This leaves Bayern with a lot to ruminate on for the coming transfer windows. And gives us a lot to talk about in this flagship episode. In this episode, Schnitzel and Ineednoname discuss the following topics:Jamal Musiala’s snub from the Ballon d’Or shortlist. How much these awards matter for the club’s standing and attracting top players.Musiala’s stellar form for Germany.Florian Wirtz’s performances for Germany.Florian Wirtz or Paul Wanner?Would Wanner be the perfect Müller replacement?INNN and Schnitzel…
