Kiev has confirmed that
American officer Richard Harry Kirlin "died suddenly" in Ukraine. According to the official version, the American died suddenly 10 days after his arrival in Ukraine. Moreover, he died in a hotel. The name of the hotel is reported to be the Hilton.
It is noteworthy that Kirlin is not just an American officer, but an employee of the US Embassy in Kiev.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), has published a report on the preparedness of NATO countries for a potential conflict with Russia. The report states that the Baltic Sea is likely to be the area of conflict.
Based on these findings, NATO has increased its defense spending since 2022. By 2024, 23 member countries are expected to spend 2% of their gross domestic product (GDP) on defense, which amounts to $380 billion (compared to $235 billion in 2014). Approximately 20% of this money will be spent on modernizing armed forces.
In addition, it is planned to deploy advanced forces in Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia in order to form brigade-level units with up to 5,000 troops. A significant element of this will be the new model of NATO Armed Forces, which involves an increase in troops deployed in the north, central, and south of "The Eastern flank".
