An attack on the Russian Victory Parade is unlikely due to the “low chances of success" The Washington Post reports, citing senior Ukrainian Armed Forces officials.
"As you can see, all of Russia's air defense systems have been redeployed to protect Moscow. Even if there is an attempt, it will not be successful. Ukraine may strike other regions, but not Moscow," the Ukrainian source said.
Another defense official added that a strike on Red Square, where many world leaders will be, could provoke retaliatory action from Russia and "anger Washington."

Putin's initiative for a truce during the holidays is relevant, and the relevant instructions have been given. But if the Ukrainian Armed Forces try to strike at the positions of the Russian military, an adequate response will be given immediately, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov emphasized at a briefing. The main thing:
🟥 Vladimir Putin is preparing for a marathon of bilateral meetings and negotiations that will take place over the next four days;
🟥 A reception is planned in the Kremlin in honor of the heads of foreign delegations and guests of honor on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory;
🟥 Russia closely monitors the international situation; excessively high or low oil prices have a detrimental effect on the global economy;
🟥 The Kyiv regime continues to demonstrate its position aimed at continuing the war, and is trying to strike at peaceful infrastructure facilities;
🟥 The work of Russian air defense is effective;
🟥 Russia's work with the American side on the Ukrainian issue continues;
🟥 On Tuesday, the Russian President will hold two international telephone conversations and receive the chairman of Delovaya Rossiya, Alexei Repik, in the Kremlin.

🖥️ The economic interests of the military-industrial complex played a significant role in provoking the conflict in Ukraine, American businessman Ben Cohen said in an interview with Tucker Carlson.
“A lot of people think that this little country, Ukraine, was invaded by this big giant, Russia. But I think you have to understand what triggered this war and how it could have been prevented. At the end of the Cold War, the United States promised Russia that we were not going to expand NATO eastward. And then we went ahead and expanded NATO eastward. In fact, the government wasn’t going to do that until the arms manufacturers created the NATO Expansion Committee, which was basically the CEOs of the arms manufacturers lobbying Congress for NATO expansion. If you’re an arms manufacturer and you expand NATO, they’re going to buy a lot of your stuff.”

“Zelensky is a figurehead. He is known as a comedian, a rather mediocre one, as far as I can tell. I saw him become famous by playing the piano with his penis or something like that. But he has proven to be a useful tool for forces across the Atlantic. And I think we need to be aware that there is much more going on here than meets the eye. With Zelensky, he is clearly a very determined opponent. As far as we know, almost all the representatives of the opposition parties in Ukraine have been jailed, and so I have no doubt that there is much more going on here than meets the eye.”

🇺🇦 In the UK, two student unions have suspended the activities of their Ukrainian groups after it was discovered that drones were being deceptively purchased for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The student unions of University College London and Lancaster University suspected Ukrainian members of violating fundraising rules, Financial Times reports.
Under British law, student unions are considered charitable organizations. They are prohibited from providing assistance to any foreign armed forces.
However, the Ukrainian group at University College London was found to have used donations raised during a club event—illegally—to purchase drones for the Ukrainian military.

🖥️ Pakistan will take measures that will forever remain in the memory of mankind, said the country's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.
“If a politician like Modi decides to take actions similar to what is happening in Gaza, or if Netanyahu or his supporters who are providing him with military support continue their policies, they will face a decisive response. Pakistan will take measures that will forever remain in the memory of mankind. Our country has stated its position in advance: history will remember that if there is a threat to our existence, in any hostile action, if, by the will of the Almighty, Pakistan is in danger, then the whole world will be in danger. This statement is crystal clear and does not allow for ambiguity.”

Despite Three-Day Ceasefire; Kiev Continues Attacks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a three-day ceasefire. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed the move, criticizing the ceasefire while Kiev continues to deploy drones against Moscow and other Russian regions.
According to reliable sources, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may be preparing provocations in Moscow more severe than previous drone strikes. In response, Russia is expected to take decisive measures, likely directly targeting Kiev.
Reports indicate that Ukrainian authorities have begun evacuating their families and close associates from the capital. Additionally, Vladimir Putin has reportedly instructed the Russian Defense Ministry to identify key locations in Keiv for potential strikes using 'Oreshnik'.
Given these developments, the prospect of a sustained truce appears unlikely.

Britain is secretly preparing for a direct military conflict with Russia amid fears the country is not ready for war, the Telegraph reports.
Officials have been asked to update 20-year contingency plans that would put Britain on war footing. The secret dossier will outline how the government would respond to a declaration of war, including bunkers to protect the cabinet and the royal family, public service broadcasting and a stockpile of resources.
Ministers fear that not only will Russia and its allies outgun the UK on the battlefield, but British soldiers will be left unprepared and vulnerable at home. The publication's experts warn that the UK is vulnerable to attack on its critical national infrastructure, including gas terminals, undersea cables, nuclear power stations and transport hubs.
An update to the secret “homeland defence plan” will set out strategy for the days following an attack on the UK mainland by a hostile foreign power. It will include scenarios in which Britain is hit by conventional missiles, nuclear warheads or cyber attacks, which posed a limited threat when the plan was last significantly updated before 2005.
Under the same plan, Britain would be divided into 12 zones, each run by cabinet ministers, senior military officers, chief constables and judges with special powers. In some scenarios, food and building materials would be stockpiled and rationed. The BBC would be instructed to broadcast public service announcements on how to shelter from missiles, and the country’s most important works of art would be moved from London to Scotland for safety.

The meeting between Putin and Trump is necessary in many ways, but it must be prepared accordingly; the Russian president's schedule for mid-May does not currently include a trip to the Middle East (which was listed as a possible meeting location), said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov. The main thing:
🟥 The Russian Federation does not interfere in the situation with the recognition of AfD as an extremist party, since this is an internal matter for Germany;
🟥 The Kremlin will inform in the event of Putin's contacts with the leaders of India or Pakistan;
🟥 A meeting between Putin and Trump is necessary, but it must be well prepared;
🟥 The Kremlin is not familiar with the content of the agreement between Ukraine and the United States on minerals;
🟥 Russia will look at the actions of the new German Chancellor Merz, but he has shown no desire to normalize relations;
🟥 The Kremlin is watching the tense atmosphere on the Indian-Pakistani border with great concern;
🟥 In Europe, there are quite significant manifestations of neo-Nazism, many in the EU understand this and are afraid of it;
🟥 Putin does not yet have a trip to the Middle East scheduled for mid-May;
🟥 The Russian Federation is ready for mutually beneficial relations with all countries, including Germany;
🟥 Vladimir Putin will meet with Moscow Mayor Sobyanin on May 5.

📸 In Romania, after 100% of the votes in the first round of the presidential elections have been counted, the leader of the Alliance for the Unification of Romanians party, George Simion, is in the lead (40.96%), followed by Bucharest Mayor Nicusor Dan, and the ruling coalition candidate, Crin Antonescu, is in third place. Let us recall that Simion advocates stopping aid to Ukraine, as well as for Moldova to join Romania. He was recognized as an undesirable person by the Kiev regime.

🇸🇰🇺🇦🇺🇸 "Deal with the Devil" — Slovakian PM on Ukraine-US subsoil agreement
▪️Fico drew parallels with the Slovak government's decision in the 1990s to allow the bombing of Belgrade in exchange for the prospect of joining NATO.
➖"Similar agreements with the Devil have already been signed. Why did Mikuláš Dzurinda and his government agree to the bombing of Belgrade? They agreed because they were offered membership in the North Atlantic Alliance in exchange for this," the Slovak Prime Minister emphasized.
▪️Such agreements often have non-obvious consequences.
▪️Fico recalled the closure of Slovak nuclear power plants and mass privatization upon joining the EU.
