FXTL price is not how I look at it. I know that people want to tie FXTL to a price because that is what makes sense, hence, sell it.
What if we can find a way to tie FXTL to opportunity.
FYI: I dont have an answer as to how to do this right now, but, if we follow the thesis that, the value of FXS is not just tied to protocol revenue, maybe we can find a way for FXTL to be tied to opportunity to give people the mindset of building a position vs, FXTL = $.0001 which seems more transactional to me.
Not saying you are wrong, and also, I dont have a solution. It is just something that I have been thinking about.
Uni had a generous airdrop that pumped up TVL, Frax nation can repeat the success if the Fxtl price is high

You would have to call update on the contract linked above with your personal address. keep in mind your boost would not be reflected anywhere in the UI. you can calculate using the boost formula from the resource docs if you wish and compare to what boost you would get via staking directly on Convex. I'm not 100% but yes I think Convex should be able to update. And yes if possible, there is no reason not to

I think about this often actually. How will existing protocols -> channel liquidity.
Frax introduced FXTL points which I still think is underrated. Forgetting the valuation of it, but, the pure technical ingenuity of how it works.
I feel like there are a few ways players can go:
1. Each chain is essentially its own ecosystem therefore, rewards/incentives/value would be chain specific. I think “the kingdom” Ra, kinda uses this approach where each time they launch on a new chain, they essentially launch a new token.
2. The Frax way: 1 token rules them all.
Re: your specific question to Uni…maybe they are relying on brand equity, lindy to attract protocols to bring incentives to the Uni chain?
Might be good to look at and see if there is anything good strategy/explanation that Frax can use.

Nice to see that Frax has a 6 month lead on launching/building infrastructure for Fraxtal chain.
The thesis is: there will be many chains and even more stablecoins. I expect builders to be launching them on Uni.

Also btw it doesn't increase emissions to a pool. Boost just takes from non-boosters via dilution
They definitely talked about frax in their stablecoins report. Maybe Frax is in a stablecoin category, and not defi, for Messari?

I think we should probably wait to see the tokenomics revamp before investing too much time in thinking about fxtl. I have a hunch fxtl may be the new mechanism for FXS emissions and replace/update how gauge emissions work

So, my veCRV which is staked in Eth chain will boost my rewards on Curve on Fraxtal chain.
1. As always, thank you for answering
2. Based on your answer, my understanding is that a user can stake veCRV on ETH chain and earn the boost on Fraxtal. Is my understanding correct?
3. Since the guages on Fraxtal dont exist in the Guage Boost Calculator: https://dao.curve.fi/minter/calc, do you know how would someone can find out how much their veCRV affects their boost in a pool?
4. Based on @jpk1080 's comments, I believe that Convex is able to update their staked amount (271m our of 412m) /channel/fraxfinance/366800. Is Convex able to update their staked amount? Is this something that you will do? Is there a plan as to why you would/would not update your staked amount?
My goal: support Fraxtal and help it offer maximum yields resulting in potentially higher TVL for Fraxtal chain. One way to maximize those yields is for Convex to help boost the Curve pools as much as possible.
Curious how they channel liquidity without issuing new tokens, without incentives
