This seems like a UI trick tbh but it’s smart marketing. They’re just saying if you withdraw USDC, USDT, DAI to Ethereum and select GDL when you withdraw, they will do the bridging for you in the background to give you USDB or ETH.
It’s a halfway trick but beautiful marketing. What Fraxtal really needs to go mainstream is to get USDC (currently working on it), USDT (not sure on this one), and DAI (they are working with dTrinity to bring USDS) on Fraxtal natively so the issuer of those assets actually uses Fraxtal itself.

so i guess the system would be to reward investors with FTXL, then once a month give them the option to deposit (and burn FTXL) and get a share of the protocols profits, paid in FXS in return ?

FXTL will become the reward token for the whole ecosystem, and the reward will be FXS based on emissions. FXS will get all revenue. Something like that?

i actually expect Fraxtal to become the hotspot for lending and borrowing. FraxLend , BAMM pools , dTRINITY , Glyph and many other lending / borrowing options are coming soon and FRAX is adopting / creating the safest assets for collateral.

Would you mind sharing your thought about positioning FRAX as a "layer 2" stablecoin to USDT/USDC, as it's obvious how profitable they are? Is obtaining an FMA hindered by too many obstacles? Or being a "layer 1" stablecoin would hurt the decentralized nature of FRAX?

That will come as well but that will require more Fraxtal TVL, probably around 1B TVL so it’s a top chain that CEXes can’t ignore the demand.
It’s important to note the Blast GDL you linked doesn’t actually mean exchanges support any asset deposit/withdrawal. Notice that it’s just the big assets that CEXes already list so they can bridge it for you in the background. It’s a beautiful marketing trick, I got to admit that, they know how to make it look big.
We’re working on it long term for Fraxtal to be a defi-first general purpose chain. Takes a few months longer but a bigger deal when Circle, Sky, and other issuers actually mint their asset on Fraxtal which means withdraws/deposits & mint/redeems directly work on Fraxtal instead of just a UI trick.
