Launching a chain was a natural evolution, and like you said is done to earn money. But it gives us some opportunities to issue Frax more easily to other chains, as well as facilitating other needs of the project and also partners. It basically builds under the stablecoin maximalism hypothesis imo. Being the greatest decentralized issuer of important assets should be our main goal. Doing all of that other stuff that will surely take away a lot of dev time for questionable returns seems like bad r/r, and outside of what should be our specialization. Main goal should be to have all protocols use us, not to build them ourselves because they don't.

Why we have them is easy to find in the docs. Lending is for income and collateral. sfrxETH is used for securing our L2 as well as maximize yield. Also it fits into our narrative of issuing the most important assets 👍

It should be either with some of the ETH POL (protocol owned liquidity) or allow others take the counterparty risk. If It is a counterparty risk, It is like what pendle or spectra are doing but for ETH
