No you will always accrue FXTL points without it being limited to a certain time frame, so you can farm FXTL points regardless.
I believe what you're referring to is the conversion governance which the team is working on a structure to share with the community to either tokenize as a separate staking token for the chain (FXTL) or convert to FXS tokens at a specified ratio (or a combination of both)

There's a sudden splurge of interest in using stables as faster mode of settlement and day to day transactions. How would $frxUSD position itself to capture this new wave ? I understand you are developing on/off-ramp through Paxos.
But would it help $frxUSD to get mainstream(outside of onchain) ? Would Frax support any teams developing dApps in this space ?

Still plenty of time ser to farm FXTL points and extending it wouldn't make a difference as users arent limited to a certain timeframe to farm FXTL points -
