In the initial talks of Fraxtal, there was always mention of upgrading, if that is the correct word, to ZK when ZK was ready.

I don’t have details as to what ZK was missing, but, I do know the Frax team built Fraxtal with the mindset that they may switch to ZK if it was the right decision to do so.

Why not? The reward distributor would just have to look at an extra thing. It already handles multiple things (e.g., mainnet veFXS, fraxtal veFXS, fraxtal locked FPIS). I don't see why it can't look for veFXS and veFrax to account for locked veFXS that can't be upgraded until unlocked.

I assume the locked FXS would get the same FXB rewards as the upgraded Frax. You'd just have FXS sitting out there for longer waiting for unlocks to upgrade
