Disabling Auto-start on Specific Applications
Often applications on your computer have something called "auto-start", which basically means as soon as you turn on your computer they will start and instantly be taking up network bandwidth, processing power and wasting battery.
You would want to disable this especially if you don't use/want those apps.
To disable auto-start press "ctrl + shift + esc", this will open up the task manager, then you will need to click on "startup".
This will bring up a list of apps that automatically launch, you can simply set all of the ones you don't want to auto-start to -disabled, in order to prevent them from so.
Make sure not to disable your anti-virus or anything else important, just the apps that are not needed.

Colour Picker (Chrome)
While designing a poster, an app, a website or anything like it, you will have to choose some colours for the design.
The problem is that sometimes it's quite hard to find just the right colours.
So you go online with a mission of searching for colours for your design.
You find a colour you like, but now what?
How would you know the colour code?
The easy solution is a colour picker.

Notification History Saver (Android)
Sometimes I'm not paying enough attention and I just accidentally swipe an important notification. And I really needed that notification.

Easily Turning Your Browser Into a Notepad
Sometimes you need to quickly write down something.
And you might not have notepad installed, or maybe you don't want to use it.
You can easily open a notepad on your browser by enter the following in the search bar:
data:text/html, <html contenteditable>
Once you hit enter it will allow you to type things in, just like in notepad.

Launch Apps From The Taskbar Using Your Keyboard
It's all about efficiency.
And sometimes you just want to be quicker and faster, or maybe you do this action over and over, so you would set a shortcut to perform that action.
If you want to quickly launch an app from the taskbar you can do so by pressing the Windows Key and the corresponding number according to the app's position in the taskbar.
For example if you want the second app on your taskbar you would press "Windows Key + 2".

Making Data Completely Un-recoverable
Also after you delete some data, often it can be recovered using tools such as "Recuva", which allow you to recover deleted data.
To solve this you can go into the command prompt and type:
cipher /w:C:
(The "C" being the drive you want to wipe, you can change it to any drive you want to erase)
That will erase the data completely on that drive.

JSON Formatter
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is used to display large quantities of data.
The problem is that sometimes it gets messy. Very messy.
An easy way of formatting it so it will be nice and neat is to use "JSON Formatter", a Chrome browser extension, completely free, and easy to use and as a bonus takes only a few clicks to apply.

Taking a Screenshot of Part of Your Screen
Sometimes you just want to save something by taking a screenshot of it, but it's really annoying to take a screenshot of the whole screen, since you only want a small portion of it.
You can easily do so by pressing (on Windows devices) - "ctrl + shift + s" and "command + shift + s" on Mac.
Doing so will allow you to simply drag over the part of the screen which you want to take a screenshot of and save it.

Calculating Math Problems Simply By Taking a Picture of Them
While doing some math, for homework or anything else, you might need to write down a long and complicated math equation into a calculator.
That will take a bunch of time, depending on the length of course.

Sometimes advertisements are just annoying. Some websites put way too many and it becomes annoying.
An easy way of blocking advertisements on Chrome is simply adding the browser extension "Adblock".
It simply blocks all advertisements and it takes literally only a few clicks to apply.

How to Plug in Any USB Device on the First Try
Even though there are only 2 ways to plug it in, somehow I always seem to mess it up.
But, there's an easy trick to it.
Grab a USB cable, see that trident symbol?
When plugging it in horizontally make sure the symbol is pointing upwards.
When plugging it in vertically make sure the symbol is pointing towards you.
This way you can easily first try plugging in those USB cables.

Quick and Easy Image Search (Chrome)

Enabling Copying and Pasting in Command Prompt (Windows)
Copying and pasting is very important. Especially if you're using the command prompt and don't actually understand the commands.
Sometimes the copying and pasting in the command prompt will be disabled, so you can easily enable it by:
•Right click in the command prompt.
•Select "Properties".
•Select "Options".
•Check the box next to "QuickEdit mode"
That's it. As simple as that.
Now you can select text by left clicking, copying by pressing "Enter", and pasting by right clicking.

Running Software on a Malware Infected PC
It happens to the best of us.
We all make mistakes and sometimes that mistake is downloading some malware (viruses).
A very common trick among malware is preventing you from running any programs.
This is done so you will not be able to run an antivirus or anything like it.
Usually changing the name of the file (the .exe file you want to run) would help, but if that doesn't work try changing the file extension to ".com" instead of ".exe" (you can do this by simply changing the name to end with ".com"), this will allow to run the file normally and potentially surpass the malware limiting.

Plain Text Pasting
Often text you copy is formatted and when you try and paste it, it pastes as formatted text.
This could be anywhere from a different font, to bold text, to text colour.
Pasting the normal way (ctrl + v) will cause problems if you just want the plain text.
To solve this press ctrl + shift +v instead.
This will paste the text in as plain text, which is just the text with no formatting applied.

Easy File Sharing via Links (Android)
Sometimes you need to send a file to your friend, family member, boss, co-worker, or anyone else, but you need to find the best way to send it to them.
Is it going to be by email? WhatsApp? Telegram?
All those file sharing ways are not perfect. WhatsApp and email for example have a file size limit, and it's not very high (50-100MB is the limit).
The easy solution is to use "Smash", an app that allows you to upload your file to the app, it then creates a link, which you then copy and send to the recipient.
When they click the link, it will allow them to view (if it's an image or a video) or listen (if it's an audio file) instantly or download (all file types) the file.

Copying Text From Anywhere (Android)
From some places you just can't copy text.
For example Twitter. On Twitter you can't just highlight some text from someone's tweet and copy it. It just doesn't work.
