Meanwhile, AMD decided to transfer their 3D V-cache technology to laptops: with 144MB of cache, 16 cores, and 5.4GHz frequency the chip will easily beat typical desktop CPU.
Unfortunately, it's temporary exclusive to Asus ROG laptops. But I'm sure, that next year it will reach wider range of laptops and compact desktops.
