The same rules and tricks of editing can be applied to games: cinematics and trailers, cutscenes, and general camera work. This is one of the reasons why the story-driven missions of Ghostwire Tokyo are so good.

For me, Starfield experience ended up with a refund request. The more you go, the more broken it feels.
The first couple of moons are nice, space is awkward, and cities are horribly bad.
A few years ago one small indie team managed to make High on Life with amazing cities you can travel between for a fraction of the cost. Memorable characters, exciting moments, and true science fiction moments were everywhere.
Same with The Outer Worlds – it was memorable, has Futurama vibes, and has a valuable, sarcastic, and tragic plot. Even beasts are something that you will remember for years and the arsenal was great.
Bethesda failed on that – no science fiction, no space sim, no role-playing, but rather poorly stitched sandbox features.
Saints Row developer Volition has been shut down and Gearbox Publishing is facing significant layoffs, despite recent success of Remnant II.
Volition has been in business for 30 years, their Red Faction and Saints Row games were legendary, but the recent reboot of the SR franchise was a complete commercial failure.
It was built around careless characters and awkward dialogues, combined with poor performance and boring gameplay activities. Even ones who liked it were barely able to tell friends what was good.
After Embracer Group broken investment deal (this spring), it was only a matter of time for the studio to be closed.

Читать полностью…This video looks offtopic, but it's very important example for anyone who want to be a manager, producer, etc:
– Let workers do their job,
– Learn how to ask them and listen to them
– Don't jump into micro management
Yes, each team under your command need a solid vision and clear orders, but they don't need it all the time, like you wish to overwrite their minds with yours. Otherwise, you will instantly become the antagonist, not the leading figure.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and the new patch are gonna be available later this month. The overhaul looks like the game CDPR initially promised with better perks balance, car chases, and more. And Idris Elba looks great in his new role!

My hopes are high for another movie only geeks will appreciate (in a row with Blade Runner and Ad Astra). Meet the final trailer and see you in cinemas in three weeks:

For those who want to enjoy good space science fiction, I recommend trying The Outer Worlds instead of Starfield:
It has characters that make sense, plot you really care about, and the world with level design in mind... and fully detailed maps of locations.
If you prefer more action than taking, just try High on Life, from the creator of Rick and Morty. It's amazing.
Don't waste your time on Starfield, it's a prototype that will take years to fix (if they will agree to fix it).

There are no negative reviews on Starfield and the overall score is 88. The main criticism is for repetitive activities and mediocre main story, which is more like onboarding for the sandbox.
If you expected something in between Skyrim and No Man's Sky, you'll get it. Just don't wait for a memorable story, like Mass Effect or The Outer Worlds. And get ready to learn some tools, cause Bethesda decided to be short on tutorial sections and leave it for the player to try and learn.

Since I'm a big fan of handhelds (Win Max 2020 on the photo, but I also have Win Max 2), check out how GPD decided to get back to their origins and made a smaller device, that is still equally powerful:
Ryzen 7840U with RDNA 3 graphics, 120Hz FHD screen, up to 64GB 7500MHz RAM, up to 2TB of PCIE4 SSD (upgradable to 4 easily), hall sensor sticks, analog triggers, USB 4 and OcuLink for eGPU. All of that in ~500 grams.

EA managed to launch Immortals of Aveum as a 720P game on consoles. PC performance is also laughable 😑
But things can get even crazier: Xbox Series S base resolution is 768x436. Upscaling moving frames from such low resolution is a joke, but they also lowered amount of details in the frame – on smaller console they excluded grass and other small elements completely.

#AMD announced FSR 3 with better consistency and frame generation:
https://gpuopen.com/fsr3-announce/
#Hardware #GPU
It's #OpenSource under MIT License and frame generation will be supported by Radeon 5700 and newer and RTX 20 and 30 series cards, unlike NVIDIA equivalent with only RTX 40 in mind.
Upscaling without generated frames will work on RX590 and GTX 10. And the implementation is promised to be easier than FSR2. MIT repository will be available next year.

CPU performance of Baldur's Gate 3 is getting worse later in the game and here's why. If you are using Ryzen 3600 or any model with a lower IPC, then you may struggle after reaching the crowded areas.
But the issue is obvious on any CPU, where even the most advanced ones lose 10% of performance.
