Finally! #Steam decided that due to the importance of Demo versions it will now treat them as free games.
Which means: it will be possible to make a separate page for it, it will have separate reviews, players will be able to add it to the library without installation, etc.
Players will be able to have both versions installed (full and demo) which will be used by small teams as a testing ground for new and experimental features.

Ubisoft tried to explain their ties with fake scientist and called their overall intentions "inspiring rather than historically accurate".
A few days ago it turned out that Yasuke stories were mostly made up by Thomas Lockley, an associate professor in law university.
He fabricated articles on Wikipedia from fake accounts, wrote a fanfiction book for 400+ pages, kept insulting people (including Japanese) and yes, you guessed it right — he consulted Ubisoft.
He deleted all of his accounts and moved, but the raging online crowd is still asking the university to fire him and Ubisoft to cancel the game.

No Man's Sky is ready for #PlayStation 5 Pro: the game received the update that has "Trinity" graphics preset (which is a codename of the new console).
Sony privately asked the developers to upgrade their games in spring and specifically focus on improved ray tracing capabilities. The official announcement is expected later this year.
Surprisingly, Scavengers Reign wasn't created in 2023: originally, it was a short film, available on YouTube.
And before that it was a series of works and ideas by Jean "Moebius" Giraud. He worked on Fifth Element, The Abyss, Dune, and other movies, but has his own artictic universe. I'll add his art in our chat!
Based on Moebius works, Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner created the original Scavengers in 2017:

Recent CPUs from Intel are a ticking bomb: they have an exceptionally fast degrading cycle...
The issue isn't fixable: you literally need to replace a faulty generation as a whole, which they don't want to do. So to avoid losses, Intel is trying to hide oxidation issue behind updates for the Voltage pattern in Microcode and BIOS (those are the issue but not related to physical oxidation problem of all 13 and 14-gen CPUs).
Professionals admit that such issue hasn't happened for over 25 years in CPU history. And it may be impossible to replace those chips for Intel and partners since the question would be "with what?" It may take them up to a year to get a significant quantities of upgraded and fixed units to replace over two years of faulty products.

Microsoft is reportedly shuttering one of its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) teams, according to an internal email sent by the team's leader to a significant number of Microsoft staff last week, in which the lead also accuses the company's executive leadership of "investigated and evidenced discrimination, harassment, and toxicity."
The email, first reported by Business Insider and corroborated by IGN, was sent by the former lead of one of Microsoft's key DEI teams. In it, they state that their "role and team were eliminated due to 'changing business needs' as of July 1st, 2024." IGN understands that the individual and a second person on their team were both laid off, but was not able to reach the sender for comment.

Meanwhile, #NVIDIA believes their #OpenSource driver is finally as good as the proprietary one!
It's amazing for Linux users who will be able to get better drivers after all these years.
But unfortunately it will not make Nvidia's technologies open for public or for competitors in any way.
