Try your best to recover the account with the phone number that remains in your possession. Other than that, be cognizant of where you (as in you, behind the screen) allow your credentials to be used. If I were you, my default stance would be "reject everyone and everything". If someone wants something from you, confirm whether they are authorized to get it, and even that they are who they claim to be. I've had long-time friends on Facebook years ago, whose accounts got compromised and were then used to try to trick me in turn. So yeah, not even a friend can really be trusted.. or at least, not their accounts. Face-to-face is all that remains, as well as your memories of how they (as in them, the human beings) tend to behave.
Once it's all cleaned back up, consider it a life lesson in both technical and personal security, the latter of which we tend to call "social engineering".
I sent them an email with all the details, but I don't think they'll ever reply.
Preventing users from logging in through a form on a foreign website has always been the defacto for a reason. But Telegram not only allowed that. It also doesn't provide any way for the user to recover their account if they don't have access to another open session.
They should have left the sms or the call option available

I was trying to help the contact who sent me the message and apparently he was logged out of his account and we couldn't log him in back because Telegram apparently ditched the sms code verification option and kept sending the code to the unknown new device app.
Even deleting the account was impossible due to not being able to choose the sms option.
And my contact kept receiving calls even from people who didn't call him in ages according to him, asking him why he sent them that message. And he was anxious about that and afraid that it may sent inappropriate stuff to important people
Why won't they have a bot that always tries to login to your account?

Na emails are forgotten, even the critical ones.
They may help, and I think there is some process to bypass MFA login after 3-4 weeks, long ago, I changed admin rights from myself to another person for a TG group like that (after 3 weeks or so as I also forgot the code that I had set) and left that group thereafter.

Pls use the above link log the issue with them & to expedite it - tag them on social media stating that you are aggrieved.
Also, use the request details too and tag them publicly.
Out of public shame, they should make it quick.
I use this approach to get an immediate attention to my issues at times with different organizations, and it has worked until now.

I don't even know where to contact them. The support through the app never worked and their email addresses are like a black hole.
and countless other links will pop up in no time, blocking sites isn't a solution at all, you can create countless redirectors

I've just checked and another account of someone else here who has the same contact received the same message. But this time with a different domain name 4f4em dot the same tld which is vip since whoever reads this far shouldn't be fooled now

The message arrived from a trusted contact. I think once hacked, all the contacts from that account receive the same message

They can definitely block the link, but it's said that they made reporting anything so hard compared to others
