Oh my goodness the "pinned for all users" text as if that will be a universally welcomed UI change...
Читать полностью…Bit of a weird question I know, but does any of you have the ThönkPad sticker? I had it in a sticker pack a long time ago, but lost it when I deleted my account.
Читать полностью…This is something that worries me, as it makes those numbers completely meaningless. It's like monthly active users and whatnot too. If I wanted to be dishonest about how active my Gitea instance is, I could say that I'm the proud admin of about 3k users. But only under 100 of those are real people, and most of them are no longer active. If I had to be honest and swallow my pride, I'd have to admit that the Gitea instance is rather meaningless. It just solved a problem for me (self-hosting a source code forge), and frankly that's good enough. But that doesn't help to compete against those who lie about their numbers... As shameful as that ultimately is.
Читать полностью…Same day all reactions on his channel got disabled and the day after he only allowed a positive set of premium emojis
Читать полностью…Also funny how they mentioned none of the crypto or gifts shit or whatever as "they didn't copy that yet" cause they fuckin know noone asked for that
Читать полностью…Right after that, each downvote 👎 to the post t.me/designers/242 seems to also add 2 upvotes 👍 to the post
Читать полностью…they could probably infer your carrier from that I would think
Читать полностью…The only chance they have is if you do a phonecall (voice over IP) and they crack it's encryption
Читать полностью…Also, I think MAC address randomization is standard on phones now
Читать полностью…The WiFi Access point only cares about your IP and MAC
Читать полностью…Oh god
We dont have enough "tokens" yet in the internet
Rewarding?
The only thing I want to get rewarded with when Google searching is knowledge 🤔
I remember posts on durovs channel getting tons of down votes and they disabled reactions :D
Читать полностью…The number of dislikes also doesn't seem to be true.
Or this is a bug, or someone is using multiple bots to send dislikes
Generally in a WiFi network, you have the following requirements to be functional:
- A gateway that can route (e.g. iptables)
- A DHCP server that can assign IP addresses
- A DNS server that can resolve names, or at least relay requests for them to the Internet (doesn't have to be in-network)
- A WiFi access point (e.g. hostapd) that broadcasts wireless access
The DHCP server takes some of your device details (usually MAC address) and leases you an IP address for some amount of time. MAC randomization helps both to prevent that from being a long-term identity token, and from being used as a tracker across larger networks (e.g. some types of public WiFi). But your phone number is never involved.
Reminds me to his first post in his channel about his Web3 connections
Читать полностью…Cowards, can't face the truth that some people don't like their shit

Better for customers, worse for network administrators
Читать полностью…That isn't sent as part of the packet headers. They would have to know that your MAC address is associated with that phone number by means of some other info
Читать полностью…Could the owner of a wifi access point get the phone number of a connecting user's device without them having to provide it?
Читать полностью…Token is earned as you search, depends on the engagement
