❓ Why doesn’t Telegram prevent cheating in games built on our platform?
Telegram's gaming platform enables bot developers to create in-chat games, but the Telegram team doesn’t control the way each game works, so cheating can occur. In order to prevent this, we would need to sync not only the results, but every action players take in every game, with the developer's server — which would be hard for developers to set up and maintain.
Cheating is a problem for many games, including those that are published on the App Store or Google Play. In each case, it is up to the game developers to catch any cheaters. As more and more games are published by third-party developers over time, we hope you will be able to find games that work just as you want them to.

Today is Durov's birthday (32 years old, happy birthday!) and he posted 10 lessons he learnt from making VK.com, we tried to translate the text:
It has been 10 years. I publish 10 lessons that I received in the process of creating VKontakte:
1. All can be done quickly. The first version of VKontakte was released in 2006. Growth was very fast. Contrary to popular belief, the work is done quickly and accurately either, or long and bad.
2. Everything need to be done quickly. In 2006 there was a few more sites like VKontakte with the same concept. Now they are forgotten because VKontakte grew faster.
3. Growing needs a direction. VKontakte grew from the success of St. Petersburg State University Forum - a site for scholars. Each next step should be based on the foundation of having a successful experience.
Your ideas should evolve in something which fits the best. Something logical and natural like this evolution: small website -> university forum -> Social network.
4. People feel the quality of what you offer. Each nice touch and attention to detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem, brings new loyal users.
5. It's efficient to have multiple roles at the same time (like coder and designer). The first months of existence of VKontakte I created all the code, graphics, language interfaces, marketing. Combining it possible to eliminate the time spent on communication.
6. Trust only your intuition. Whenever I listened to the opinion of "older and reasonable" people, I lost time. If you feel that you need to do - ignore the opinion of the authorities.
7. Quantity doesn't turn into quality. VK team was small, but consisted of talented and motivated people. Such team is more efficient that large team of hired people who work for money.
8. Don't 100% trust anyone. It doesn' matter how much you think someone is trustworthy, and how many years know him.
9. Fear doesn't make sense. During VKontakte there was a lot of problems like DDoS-attacks, criminal, stock war, melting server, media wars, lawsuits, intrigues. Emotions are not productive - do what you need to do.
10. Principles of important benefits. VKontakte defended the interests of users, while its competitors have betrayed them in favor of advertisers, shareholders, officers. Benefit others - the only possible cause of true success.
