I found an alternative drop in replacement that has some features I need on some random guy’s GitHub that’s questionably maintained and probably never audited. I installed RHEL 9 only to discover the dependencies to compile it are newer and downgrading them breaks the system. So, I installed RHEL 8, froze the dependencies with DNF, cloned the repository and spent 4 hours troubleshooting gcc errors. After I was finally able to get things working, I asked the maintainer how I could integrate it with other things. Three days later after being flamed by his community for not using a snap, flatpak, or docker, he told me to go fuck myself and closed my GitHub issue. This operating system is awesome I tell myself as I cry myself to sleep.
This is probably the funniest way a gambling company could react to being told they're storing millions of passwords in plaintext
