The ICJ today made all the interim rulings which could realistically have been hoped for. The important thing is that it threw out Israel's demand that the case be dismissed. For years to come, while the case is being investigated, Israel will carry the stigma of a party in the dock accused of the most heinous crimes against humanity in the book.The verdict is another link in the chain of Israel's isolation and failure. That the Tories and Labour are failing to welcome the ruling speaks volumes for the moral vacuum in which they operate in lockstep with Israel.
