The Workers Party Veterans Group, our elected councillors, and our leadership have marked Remembrance Day at various places around Britain, but especially in Birmingham and Rochdale where our offices are.
War is a continuation of politics, by other, more violent means. War, this monster of mutual slaughter among men, will be finally eliminated by the progress of human society, and in the not too distant future too. But there is only one way to eliminate it and that is the struggle for socialism.
The Workers Party is serious about sticking up for Veterans, and we'd like to remind all ex-servicemen that our Veterans Group is looking for volunteers.

Our Veterans Policy
Our armed forces currently enjoy full free medical treatment whilst in service but we recognise our country’s failures when comes to caring for those who have been discharged from the service.
Veterans should not have to rely on charities to provide them support following medical discharge.
Service personnel who have been injured through fighting for our country should and will receive free care for the time that it is needed. Injured service personnel will have priority access to NHS services when discharged. Our service personnel will not be forgotten. If a new fully-funded Veterans Administration is required, we will create it.
