George Galloway and Chris Williamson will be speaking at this Workers Party rally in June as we put the case for a mass working class challenge to Reform and Labour in next May's local elections.
George will be joined by Workers Party councillors from across the country, as well as our national organising team led by Shanaz Siddique, our National Organiser.
Applications are now OPEN for the May 2026 local elections. A full list of where elections are taking place can be read here. There's some big battles for us in the West Midlands and North West, as well as plenty more in the big towns and cities.
The party is now looking for serious candidates to step forward. We will be announcing our first 100 candidates in June, with seats across the North West and West Midlands getting filled up already. Our aim is 1,000 candidates in May 2026 as we look to provide people with a real alternative to voting Reform, the Greens and the Uni-party.
