I really enjoyed the Primalist Ascendancy to open chests with the warcries. It was so much fun. Next league, whenever I run mechanics with chests (Expedition, Blights, Legions), I'm gonna spec into the caster mastery for sure!
The new Spectres are a lot of fun and strong. Hope they stay in the game, and I hope that Hydra is gonna get a HP buff.

Biggest Noob Mistake
I usually consider myself a casual player but in years of playing, I somehow left the biggest noob mistake I've ever made go unnoticed for months. I played for the first 6 weeks of the league, got to 93 which was a PR, had some other PR things happen. I think I'm doing well. Well after a month off, I returned today and hit 94. I keep comparing my build to the build guide I'm using. Something isnt adding up. I keep looking over my passive tree but the math just isnt mathing. Finally I think to type /passives which usually I do right at the start of mapping. Turns out, I just never did 2 quests in Act 8! I've done so much and the whole time I was missing 2 levels worth of power for 5 minutes of work. I'm always more of a noob than I realize, but this takes the cake. I'm literally sitting on 18D I need to spend for my build, and I was proud to have hit 19 challenges, but now I'm torn between laughter and screaming.

In 3.24 my aim is to get to 600 depth delve - any build recommendations which can go deeper but are easy to play for a semi-noob?
This is assuming no huge changes to abilities again. I've played a lot of leagues, but my reactions aren't great. I'm very aware that all the brand guys going deep this league are likely to be nerfed, which probably leaves mana bond heiro as a good shout, but I'd it easy to play? Armour stackers seem likely to be outside the budget for a noob like me (unless someone wants to correct me?)
I know boneshatter can get to 600+ but would struggle deeper, and I'd rather have a build I could scale to infinity if I did get lucky (I enjoyed an int stacking scion this league). Any recommendations I can research would be appreciated.

Drop Rate of I See Brothers - 27 drops from 54128 Bosses (20592 Maps)
I crowdsourced a huge test of the drop rate of this new div card.
It drops only from map bosses in certain maps and (except for the bugged Atoll and Plateau) where one map boss can drop it, so can the other one. Being a map boss drop, it's basically unjuiceable - twinning maps helps but nothing else does - quantity on the map, quantity as a player stat, divination scarabs all do nothing.

144 'blocks' of 144 Strand maps, so 20736 maps assigned
143 blocks reported results, so 20592 maps. Being Strand, they have 2 bosses each, 4 instead if twinned.
After counting Twinned maps, we had 54128 map bosses.
27 cards dropped.

This might sound like we can say "It's almost exactly 1 per 2000 map bosses or 1 per 1000 untwinned maps" but it's actually too small a sample size to say that.
For those with a stats background, the 95% Wilson confidnece interval is 1/1378 to 1/2916
For those without, all we can say with statistical certainty is that one of the following three is true:
- Our experiment had "top 2.5% luck" (i.e. if you ran 40 lots of 20592 maps, on average 39 of them would get fewer than 27 cards, because we got lucky)
- Our experiment had "bottom 2.5% luck"
- The drop rate is between 1 in 1378 and 1 in 2916 map bosses

What fun builds that you used to play are completely dead forever?
I can't help but pour one out for my Baron necromancer that I played back in blight and through the first patch when Sirus was introduced. Spirit offering was changed and zombies/minions in general became way less tanky. I also had a skeleton necromancer that relied heavily on alt gems, which are no longer obtainable or even existent on standard. I haven't touched a minion build since, because I can't bring myself to gear up another animated guardian just to have it rip.

What builds, in your opinion, are absolute bait whenever you see it suggested? League start scenario, or just in general.
i.e. builds that have a steep cost-to-power ratio, too dependent on specific criteria, etc.
I'll start with a few (afaik):
- Armor stackers - unless you have multi-mirror levels of investment. other builds just fair better for equivalent currency spent
- Spark - especially league start
And on a personal note:
- Detonate Dead (not really true, I know) - People swear by it but I absolutely hated fishing for an uber ignite and the piano keys. I'm certain its a me thing, but I had a rough league start because of it

Gains of Exile - No longer a site for ants
Hey folks,
As the league is coming to a close and everyone's eyes are slowly drifting towards the horizon, I bring yet another update from GoE (prev post).
I made things bigger! No more tiny text! And a buuunch of quality of life changes.
Just to showcase a few:
Refactored all UI, significantly improving clarity for those with 1500px-wide displays. Things still smol for smol screens, and mobile is entirely neglected. Ping me if you want some attention thrown in that direction.
You can now import prices from PoeNinja! (Not automated - so click the button every now and again)
Images are now links to the trade site.
New section: Trade Links - quick-search for items in bulk
More reliable price fetching API
(Profit / investments) shown instead of profit margin (profit / sales)
Bugfixes. Many small bugfixes.
I ran out of analytics so I won't see if anyone's using the site for a while, lol
At this point, I've implemented most of what I wanted. PoeStack prices are in the pipeline, but I can't promise an exact date. And in case you ask - yes, I plan to keep this up-to-date as new leagues come out.

Finally got a Mageblood for the first time :D
Then not two days later my processor fries when my (fairly well-aged) PSU faults. FML Exiles, guess I've done what the Elderslayers could not, and I escaped the atlas. Don't have many people to share this with, and just kind of felt like screaming into the void a bit. Luckily I'll be getting about 10k for federal return.
Any recommendations on what parts to get for my new rig are greatly appreciated though. Tempted to just do a part-picker site or something. I know how to build a computer, but I'm honestly feeling a bit despondent and just want something that I won't fuck up at this point.
