Is anyone else avoiding Last Epoch just because they can't invest that much time in another ARPG?
The amount of time I've invested in this game over the years is borderline insane. Most leagues I put in 200+ hours, This league I've put in closer to 400 (one of my favorites)
I love POE it scratches that ARPG itch for me, but its also made my back log grown even more.
I find my self skipping leagues, just to clear some of my backlog, but always keep POE in my mind.
So I'm avoiding Last Epoch, not because I dont think it'll be good, but because I don't think I can balance that with POE and still get to other games I want to play.

Mirror and Build Giveaway. 7 Winners. Anyone can participate.
Sooo long story short. I played PoE many years ago, it was 3.12 I think or something like that. I came back this season, and since then got 1000 hours ( addicted ). I had the best time ever this season, made a lot of friends, got good loot and made some insane fun builds. I didn’t expect much honestly - but I got fooled. Most of the people were nice, helpfull, or just funny. Even global chat! (Which was toxic back in the days as I remember) I even did a SSF Char which I got to 90, and a HC Char I died to kitava act 10. ( I suck I know. ) I’m going on a holiday soon for the rest of the month that means I can’t play this season anymore. So I want to give back to y’all. When I don’t have use for it, someone probably will have a lot of fun with it.
So I’m giving away:
1 Mirror of Kalandra

How would you solve the "dropped items are worthless" problem?
It's a shame in a game like this any random rare dropping is practically worthless. I am wondering whether we have any ideas solving this within the confines of PoE1.

Hi guys im new to poe almost 3 weeks. Im at early end game now, my resistance are 45 to 49 on lightning fire and cold, chaos res is - 35. Most of the maps dont deal chaos but i still get one shot by totems which deal elemental damge. What to do? Should they all be 75%??
Im going cyclone slayer armor is 1500, evasions somewhat high dont know the count. Thanks in advance.

Last Epoch made me appreciate PoEs campaign a lot more
After trying Last Epoch and finding the campaign and world quite uninspired, I realized how well PoE does its worldbuilding.
Even when skipping all the story and dialogue like I do, there are just so many memorable moments and environments in PoEs campaign. Characters like Einhar, boss fights like Kitava or the Brine King, Piety, sound effects like the Emperor and Labyrinth voice you'll never forget, and amazing music. It's very much like D2 in that respect.
I never thought I cared about this until now, but the boring world of LE really affects my desire to play.

Another 3x Mageblood Giveaway!
Hey exiles. A bit late, but I'm gonna giveaway another 3 Magebloods.
The giveaway is for Softcore Affliction. Platform: PC. The Magebloods have 4 flasks and are uncorrupted.
To join, leave a random comment, or answer this: What new feature(s) of Affliction would you like to see added as core?
Would be great to at least get to keep the backpack. It was so nice to dump a few hundred chaoses for the map device craft there, and always have 10-15 maps on me. Had to use fewer portals as well in this league, so overall, probably the best piece of tech we got in Affliction.
The rare monsters maphack was also really nice (Detect Evil - Warden of the Maji). Although it circumvents it a bit, it helps out with the lack of visual clarity in juiced maps.
I've also mentioned this in the previous giveaway, but I hope that the new spectres go core. It was a lot easier to fix new players' builds by just adding a few new spectres. Although the power spike was not enough to instantly get them to tier 16 maps, it was enough to farm Essences in low-tier maps even if they messed up their build a bit.
I'll announce the 3 winners on Wednesday (28th February).
Good luck!

Boneshatter Damage Comparison - Part 2
TL;DR: You don't want to limit your DPS to sustain 9 stacks of Trauma when using CT Boneshatter.
My last post was way more popular than I thought it'd be, so I wanted to make a Part 2 to address a couple concerns voiced in the comments:
1) If using Complex Trauma Boneshatter, you want to adjust your aps to hover at \~9 Trauma stacks
2) A better comparison is not just the gems themselves but also appropriate attack speeds for said builds
Assumptions used:
20/20 gem numbers
0.033 second tick rate
Standard Boneshatter attacking at 3 aps
Complex Trauma Boneshatter attacking at 1.5 aps to build to and maintain 8-9 stacks while never resetting to zero
Attacks cannot miss
No crits
Trauma stacks only last 6 seconds, then drop off
Noteworthy Information:
Despite Standard hitting twice as often as CT, the Standard hits in the first graph drift away from being in-line with the CT hits due to the number of ticks between attacks (10 ticks per Standard Attack, 21 ticks per CT attack). Yes, I know 1 sec/1.5aps = 0.667 seconds between attacks = 20.2 ticks, but if you use 20 ticks in the calculations you will sometimes hit while having 9 stacks and reset to zero and that's not what we want

Horizontal axis scale is the same for both graphs
Observations:
As shown in part 1, CT Boneshatter on-hit damage ramps up faster than Standard Boneshatter. This is again reflected in the top graph. While CT damage ramps up faster, it also hits only slightly less than half as often. Looking at the Bottom graph we see that Standard is out-damaging CT from the start even though CT hits are out-damaging Standard hits the entire time. This is because it is hitting more often with enough damage to out-damage CT in the same amount of time.

Conclusions:
It seems that so long as your attack speed is reasonably faster than 1.5 aps (which it almost assuredly is), 20/20 Standard Boneshatter out-damages CT Boneshatter if you're limiting your attack speed to sustain 9 Trauma stacks.

Moving to a different country and worried about account lock out.
For those that have moved countries what if anything did you do to protect your account from lock out. I have read some posts that people had to dig through previous receipts showing where they purchased stash tabs or having to list all their characters in a email to GGG with often times GGG still locking the account. Thoughts?

Came in as the new guy this league and asked a ton of questions. You all went above and beyond to answer all my questions. This led to me learning more and more and getting in deeper and deeper. Now, it’s about all I want to play. It is so fulfilling to get your build put together and being able to run the higher level endgame. You all got me hooked, congratulations.

First level 100, a decade or so late.
Despite playing an unhealthy amount I have never gotten a level 100 character, till this league.
I have played SSF in leagues for the last couple years, and I didnt want my first 100 to be from rotas in a trade league.
I have gotten alot of characters to 97 but I often stop there as I didnt make them tanky enough and would end up dying losing hours of progress.
Enter the cast when stunned MF chieftan. I really enjoyed MF all the way to about 99.
It was so fun getting more and more uniques, after I got 2 copies of a unique I would hide it on my filter. At 99 I was almost exclusive picking up Ventors Gambles and mousing over belts, this started to get boring.
I died 3 times during 99-100, each time was at around 20% XP and was due to too much crit from blue whisps.
This was a huge achievement for my PoE Bucket List and I am excited to be able to check it off.
TLDR, MF made endgame grinding fun enough for an alt-aholic to finally push a character to 100. Thanks for an awesome league.

What is the deal with Wands? Are they any good? (I'm a Lightning Elementalist)
I've been playing POE for a few weeks now and have also been following someone else's build by about 80%. The rest of the build has been some changes that I made to suit the build that I want, which is with Wands.
However, I've been looking all over youtube and I can't seem to find a build that has wands in it that apply to the lighting elementalist. It's been causing me to wonder if wands are any good and if they can be used to create a fast crit dps build or if the critical multiplier passive upgrades on the wand aren't even worth it to go after.
***My current build so far is a lightning Arc (spell) elementalist build with the ascendance perk; "Always shock," or whatever it's called (The one that makes all damage inflict the shock ailment). I've specked a lot in crit, crit multiplier and lightning damage overall. I've followed the build pretty religiously along with other variants that improve survivability. The only change that I've made is I've invested points into golems that allow me to have two of them, with them giving me increased effectiveness on ailments (This is just to help with the crowd control). The next thing I want to place points in though is the passive wand tree in the top right corner.
Are wands currently bad in this game? Is there a way to make them good or even meta? And is the passive wand skill tree of the Witch class worth going for?
I'm also wondering if the wand builds have more to do with how you craft them vs how you spec on passives or if it is both. And how would you craft a wand properly for a crit lightning/AOE build.
I'm still very new to this game and haven't even completed the campaign yet (currently on Act 7). If someone could shine a light in the right direction for me, that would be awesome. And if it's not too much to ask, if you happen to know how you get some of the things that you talk about like lets say; certain crafting recipes, specific wands, support spells, the socket colors for wands and armor, and maybe just the general structure of the build and how I should go about it, I would be immensely grateful.
I'm level 57 so I think I still have some leeway to alter the build a little if need be.
What are your thoughts/recommendations?

Accuracy on wands and spells (Go easy on this noob)
Hi all, I've fiddled with PoE for some time now, but have finally decided to explore its depth.
I'm playing with the Witch for the first time and I'm loving it, but I'm confused by the wand accuracy rating. Theres a whole section in the passive tree dedicated to it.
What practical use does it have if "evasion does not aid in avoiding spells"? If I'm building around the Arc spell, can I ignore accuracy?
