Reddit sometimes can be a really hostile place. But it was nice reading so many messages of people genuinely thanking a guy for creating such a good game.

Announcing Wraeclast Rally 3.23 - A Team-Based Speed Running Event
Hey everyone,
Wraeclast Rally is a community speed running event with three teams where an individual can complete an A5 Points+Normal Lab speed run or a A10 Points + Normal, Cruel, Merc Lab run to earn points for a team of their choosing. The individual will earn points based on how fast their run was. Anyone is welcome to participate. The goal is to earn as many points as you can for your selected team by going as fast you can on as many classes as you can. With that being said, there is no obligation to run all the classes as you only need to complete 1 run on 1 class to participate. Team run submissions will be done through speedrun.com and more information on how to complete that process can be found in the Wraeclast Rally google doc below.
This is the second Wraeclast Rally. Some changes to the format have been made. Instead of a maximum of 7 runs (1 per base class), now there is a maximum of 5 runs for points (so you get to choose 5 base classes to complete runs on). Two runs are unrestricted runs, you can use any class, any archetype, or any skill while completing an A5/A10 run. Three of the runs are archetype/skill restricted runs where you can choose three of the four archetypes (melee, ranged, caster, or minion) to complete the archetype runs. Because PoE is such a complex game and alot of skills can kind of fall between categories, there is a system for figuring out what skill falls under what archetype. While this is very far from a perfect system, it is an attempt to categorize various skills under various archetypes. This system can be found in the google doc linked below for those curious in completing some runs.
There will also be a few individual challenges which are non-team based that add certain conditions, restrictions, or a completely new run format to make the run more challenging. Some of the individual challenges will be time based and some completion based. Completing a challenge will not earn an additional points for a specific team. Instead, the individual challenges are just that individual and will have a separate leader board from the team leader board. The individual challenges will be submitted through the PoE Community Racing Discord as the speedrun.com are not amenable to the individual challenges.
The three teams for the event are as follows (team names will be updated once each team submits a name):
Team Tytykiller, Balaar, and Timmytimmy
Team Havoc616, Allexpleblord, and Pillebrille
Team Paak, Meshamaan, and LotusParadiseBird
The event starts on March 8th at 1pm EST / 10am PDT and will end March 18th at the same time. However, you can start completing runs right now as the event format has been announced and it gives some extra time for those who might want it. The only caveat is that you have to wait until the event window opens to submit the runs on speedrun.com. The individual challenges must be ran during the event window and as a result of that, the individual challenges will not be revealed until the event starts. You can check to Rally 3.23 rules google doc/announcement channel in PoE Community Racing Discord for more info once event starts.
More details on Wraeclast Rally can be found here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1T0MqgSZS7p1UNcP31WlDYS9F3UYxJ-238oegteeNPeI/edit#gid=468946219
There is also a discussion channel for Wraeclast Rally in the PoE Community Racing discord
You will also see the various team leaders stream runs for the event over the next couple weeks.

What weapons would you like to see in PoE2?
So we allready know that spears and crossbows will make a debute, but what other tools of destruction should be added in your opinion?
I for one am a fan of whips. Whiplash skill gem with lots of aoe could be pretty fun.

Gladiator ascendancy rework?
Didn't GGG say something about the glad rework like 2 or 3 leagues ago and picked chieftain and sab to rework? So surely this league it'll be the glad rework.
What's some of the changes that you guys think might or should happen to make it a viable ascendancy again?
Personally I loved being an undying blocking machine with just the ascendancy so I could ramp my damage elsewhere.

Promotion and Content Policy
>Some self-promotion posts have been poorly received, and led to a lot of negativity and flaming of the original poster.
>
>We encourage active community members to share their content (Youtube videos, stream, art, etc.) with /r/pathofexile. However, please remember that this sub is not your ad platform. You can post self-promotional content if you follow these rules:
>
>Title: Self-promotional posts must include in their title why someone who had never heard of you would find this interesting. For example, “My POE Podcast Episode 123: We talk about minions” would not be a good title, whereas “How to make permanent minions tanky: My POE Podcast” would be better. We’ve had problems with heavily-downvoted self-promotion posts that caused flaming and negativity, and this aims to avoid that.
>
>Links: Links to your Twitch stream or Youtube channel homepage are not permitted. Clips and timestamped VODs are permitted.
>
>Frequency: We allow up to 2 self-promotional posts per month, but permission may be granted for more on a case by case basis as per mod authorization.
>
>Community membership: To prevent new accounts from spamming the subreddit, we require the poster to be an active member of the community. A recommendation is to follow the 10/1 rule: participate substantively in 10 discussions with other players outside of your own threads for each time you promote yourself. If you don’t have that much to say, that’s fine, a roundup post of a few pieces of your content is recommended.
Rule 10 Changes: Item Showcases
Rule 10 will be split into 2 separate rules for better filtering by users.
>Rule 10a: Crafting Showcase
>
>Crafting Showcase posts must provide background information on the item within the body or comments of the post. The title alone is not sufficient, and any such post must be flaired with the "Crafting Showcase" flair. The bare minimum requirement is the crafting steps you took to make the item. This rule is in place to drive discussion through the crafting steps, spread crafting knowledge through the community, and prevent a wave of spam posts about crafted items with no additional information.

>Rule 10b: Big Drop Showcase (Feel free to suggest alternatives)
>
>Big Drop Showcases are limited to specific Uniques (Corruptions, Watchers Eyes, That Which Was Taken, etc), and big currency drops (100+ divines, Mirrors, etc). No explanations are required. (May have future changes if spam becomes an issue)

Now, hopefully you've read along to this point, and if so we thank you. It's a lot to get through, but there were quite a few issues to address in regards to usability, fairness, and function. But we think this is a good first step; and hopefully its one we can take together as a community, versus any dictation from on high telling you how to behave.
However, the one thing that is non-negotiable is that things do have to change, and preferably for the better as the direction we've been on for a long time isn't a great one, as it's led to our community being seen as a shitty, toxic cesspool of a community. And we have enough pride in ourselves and this community that we believe we can do better.

Rules Overhaul: Feedback Stage
Heya folks!
As we said in last week's "New Moderator Introductions", one of the first priorities of the new mod team was to spearhead some changes to the existing mods, their clarity and implementations with some guidance away from pitfalls that the older mods could see coming.
# Before We Start
/r/pathofexile has gone through a lot of changes over the years. From a tiny subreddit where developers interacted with posts regularly, and we got to a point as a community where we failed to make this a fun place to be. We've also had moderation-specific issues, like inconsistency of removals, lack of promptness in removing unfriendly content, and the recent failings in the recent TFT drama.
It's time for a change
With most of the moderation team being new, it's an opportunity to rebuild the subreddit better. Us new mods of /r/pathofexile are pushing for some changes that we hope will really improve the enjoyment of being here on the subreddit, with advice from the more experienced mods based on their long service and experience.
Today we'd like to talk to you about our plans for rule changes, particularly when it comes to posting etiquette, as well as improvements to flairs, community, and more. We’re bringing this all to the community in order to have this be a conversation. Something we can all take part in in righting the course to make this an amazing place to be again!
# First: Flairs
Now, there are many of you that we have interacted with over the past few weeks since the new mods joined the team. Part of that is outreach to see how folks in the community feel, and part of that is to get some insight into what issues or inefficiencies some in the community feel exist.
The single biggest comment we got was people tired of seeing content, and of the inaccuracy of the flair system. A desire for the ability to filter away content the user doesn't wanna see, or at least have it grouped together so they know which flairs to ignore on posts.
The mod team has come together and has a shortlist of 4 new Flairs we will be introducing as part of the rules changes.
All Flair Titles are Works in progress. If you have a better suggestion, be sure to make it in a comment below!
>Item Showcase. Item Showcases have been a messy flair and subreddit rule for a while now. They operate in some respects like spam, but in other respects, they are a source of learning and quality conversation in the community. The same tag can be interesting crafting recipes, or a simple "Hey look at this 50 div shower I got!" post. It wasn't precise enough, and some folks like the crafting, but hate the "Oh wow!" drops pictures; while others hate the crafting pictures, and like the brief "Oh neat!" screenshots.
>
>As such, moving forward, The Item Showcase flair will be divided into the Crafting Showcase, and Big Drop Showcase. This will be further covered in the rules changes to follow for additional context as these flairs are tied to rules changes, unlike the next two.
Next, comes a new flair implementation based on user requests: the "Bad Behavior" flair.
>Bad Behaviour. There have been many requests from folks to have the ability to separate out posts that have screenshots of users engaging in bad behaviour. Racism, Sexism, etc etc. We want to allow there to be a place for people to continue to expose and bring to light some of the shittier people in the community; but we also want to ensure that people can pop onto r/pathofexile and just have a pleasant viewing experience.
>
>As such, moving forward, all posts that involve shitty behaviour like one of the above mentioned, or other common upsetting things like Nazi-ism, death threats, homophobia, etc. will be required to have the "Bad Behaviour" flair. This is to allow folks who don't wanna see it to filter it out or bypass the post. It also functions as a caveat emptor situation; if you see the flair, you're aware it may be upsetting and its your own fault if you view it. PoE is an adult rated game, with adult themes;

Sextant Management in its current state : I don't like it
Hello,
IMO the current state of sextant management in the game is bad.
Problems:
\- "Enduring Influence" is the only atlas node that modifies the behaviour of a currency. Therefore the player is encouraged to allocate it ONLY when he is using the currency, then deallocate otherwise.
\- "Enduring Influence" is the only atlas node that impacts the game OUTSIDE of your atlas/maps. I haven't found any other node like this, but correct me if you do.
\- Because of sextant blocking, you are "wasting" sextant potential if you do not have 4 watchstones. The player is discouraged to use sextants if he hasn't unlocked the 4 watchstones, which is to say killed Uber Elder, which can really take a long time, especially in SSF where you can't find a friend or pay a carry.
My suggestions/potential solution:
\- Sextants instead drop as charged compasses (already enchanted) in maps.
\- "Enduring Influence" can be updated accordingly. For example : "Charged compasses drop with an additional charge in maps" or "xx% increased quantity of charged compasses found in maps".
\- The design could be like Kirak missions and reports, which are currently totally fine in my opinion.

The biggest currency conversion mob ever?
This happened in a 10k purple/yellow map where I got blessed with 160% quant from altars. There was an additional 26 exalts that did not fit in my inventory. Among the belts, it did not fit on the screen and I had already started picking them up when a screenshot of the ground popped into my head so this will have to do. I will sorely miss this league when it's done, this has been the most fun POE league by far for me and I have 6400 hours played so far. # Second: Rules Changes
Rule 2: Calls to Action
Sidebar Rule 2: (Now to be Rule 2A)
>Accusations Require Media Evidence
>
>Posts about scams or other predatory player or entity behaviours must provide evidence in image or video form of the expected and actual results if "naming and shaming" a character or user. Text is not a substitute for this requirement. Other rules still apply; violation of rule 3 within these posts may warrant removal. Any such posts must be flaired with the "Negative Behaviour" flair or it will be removed.

>Rule 2B:
>
>Do not try to incite the community in support or disdain for a person, organization, or community. This includes boycotts, slander, vote manipulation, brigading, or drama between community members.
>
>The only times this rule is not to be implemented is either:
>
>\- In support of Path of Exile for things like gaming awards, or other such positive game oriented causes.
>
>\- In the event of a large-scale situation of import for the game/Player base (External Tools/Communities/RMT/Hacking). If supported by appropriate media (Screenshots or Videos from reputable sources), the conversation on the topic shall be allowed under controlled circumstances. (see new “7B: Situation Thread” rules.)
>
>Brigading and vote manipulation: a call to action or implication to vote or comment on a post, website, or video. Users whose post have evidence of brigading from external communities or encourage brigading may be banned or have their post locked or removed
Rule 3: Harassment and Posting Etiquette
The new 3B is a replacement for the current 3B which is similar, however this is much clearer for intention and expectations.
>Rule 3a: Harassment: includes vulgar, or threatening messages; name-calling; posting of personal or identifying information (doxxing); mockery and belittlement; systematically or continuously targeting a person or group of people; content that negatively depicts others users or figures without clear and objective proof.

>Rule 3b: Posts and comments should help foster constructive discussion. Criticisms, complaints, & suggestions are always allowed. However, conversations need to remain civil to make the community an enjoyable place. To that end, vitriolic content which does not contain insults but still disparages in a negative tone without a suggestion for improvement will be removed.
Rule 7 Addition: Community Concern Threads
>Rule 7d In the event of a situation within the Path of Exile community such as large scale complaints, or problems with external communities, RMT, or GGG specific issues where the topic is dominating the front page, there will be a limit on the number of threads allowed on the front page at once, and those threads must be clearly flaired as "Hot Topic Thread". We'd like your feedback on this number, we're currently discussing 3 as the limit.
>
>This is poised as a balance between Megathreads (which the community rejected in the past), and having the front page full of just one topic, drowning other content out. Regularly refreshing these threads opens up more space for new commenters to have their thoughts heard, as most threads rotate around a number of top comments posted in the first few hours. We are also discussing whether to keep normal sorting (best), or set them to default to “Contest” sorting. In Contest sorting, all upvotes and downvotes are hidden, and the order of posts is randomized each time the thread is loaded for a user. This setup should enable users to feel more comfortable contributing to the conversations and engaging with the topic.
>
>Hot topic threads must follow rule 3B closely, or they will be ineligible for this system and flair.
Rule 9 Clarification:
Reaching 38/40 challenges be like
