When we compare it to the last export performance of Ethiopian sesame by this time period . The Last year exported quantity was $145,892.80 by the price of $ 145,892,800. The export quantity is decreased by 13%. When we come to the value it's unit price increased by 12 %. Generally the Ethiopian sesame seed export and production (because of known and unkown problems) is in a very big risk the last past three years the productivity is falling down which is directly affecting the export sector . We hope this year will be fruitful and better to deliver more for the international customers.

በብራዚል ውስጥ እየጨመረ ያለው የአኩሪ አተር ምርት የቻይና ወደ ሀገር ውስጥ
ማስገባት(ኢምፖርት) እየቀነሰ ሲሄድ ይቀዘቅዛል ❗️❗️

-በዚህ ክፍለ ዘመን መጀመሪያ ላይ ከቻይና የጨመረው የአኩሪ አተር ፍላጎት በመላው አሜሪካ ሰፊ የሰብል መስፋፋትን አስከትሏል።
-በብራዚል ከፍተኛ ላኪዎች ውስጥ ምርቱ የበለጠ ሊያብጥ ነው፣ ነገር ግን የቻይናውያን ምርት የማሰገባት እድገት ቀዝቅዟል።
-የአለም አቀፉ የአኩሪ አተር ዋጋ ባለፉት ጥቂት ወራት በከፍተኛ ደረጃ የቀነሰ ሲሆን ካለፉት ሁለት አመታትም በጣም ያነሰ ነው። -ዋጋ ውድቀቱን ከቀጠለ የብራዚል ገበሬዎች በዚህ አመት መገባደጃ ላይ የመትከል ስራ ሲጀምሩ አካባቢውን ለማሳደግ ብዙም ማበረታቻ ላይኖራቸው ይችላል በተለይም አስመጪው ብዙም ያልተሰማራ ከሆነ።
-በ2023 የብራዚል የአኩሪ አተር ምርት በዩኤስ የግብርና ዲፓርትመንት በ155 ሚሊዮን ሜትሪክ ቶን የተገመተው የአኩሪ አተር ምርት በ11 በመቶ የቀዳሚነቱን ስፍራ ይዟል።
-የብራዚል ገበሬዎች በ2023 የአኩሪ አተር ምርትን በዋጋ መቀነስ ለመሸጥ ዘግይተዋል፣ እና 2024 ብዙ አስደሳች ላይሆን ይችላል።
-ቁጥር 2 አኩሪ አተር ላኪ አሜሪካ በ2023 122.7 ሚሊዮን ሜትሪክ ቶን ሪከርድ ታደርጋለች።
-የቻይና የአኩሪ አተር ምርቶች በ2000ዎቹ የመጀመሪያዎቹ አስርት ዓመታት ውስጥ በአምስት እጥፍ ጨምረዋል፣ ነገር ግን የፍላጎት እድገት ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ በ2010ዎቹ መቆም ጀመሯል።
-USDA ባለፈው ወር የቻይናን የ2023-24 አኩሪ አተር ወደ 100 ሚሊዮን ሜትሪክ ቶን በማስመጣት በ2022-23 ከነበረው 98 ሚሊዮን ቢሆንም ከ2020-21 ከነበረው 99.7 ሚሊዮን ሪከርድ ትንሽ ብልጫ አለው። -የቻይና አኩሪ አተር ፍላጎት በ2010ዎቹ አጋማሽ ከ8% በላይ እያደገ ነበር። የሀገር ውስጥ ፍላጎት በ2023-24 ከ4.7 በመቶ ወደ 118 ሚሊዮን ሜትሪክ ቶን ከፍ ሊል እንደሚችል ይተነብያል።

*በሀገራችን ውስጥ በአኩሪ አተር ላይ ያተያው የዎጋ ማሽቆልቆል በአጭሩ ምክንያቱ ይሀው ነው።

ከቡና ኤክስፐርት 2 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ለማግኘት ቢታቀድም በ9 ወራቱ የተገኘው የገቢ መጠን 896.7 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ነው።

#ቡና

ባለፉት ዘጠኝ ወራት 163 ሺ 666 ቶን የቡና ምርት ለውጭ ገበያ በማቅረብ 896 ነጥብ 7 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ገቢ ማግኘት ተችሏል። በዚህ ጊዜ ውስጥ 243 ሺ 659 ቶን ቡና በመላክ አንድ ነጥብ 19 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ለማግኘት ታቅዶ ነበር።

ይህም ካለፈው ዓመት ተመሳሳይ ወቅት ጋር ሲነጻጸር በመጠን 22 ነጥብ 4 በመቶ ቅናሽ እንዲሁም በገቢ ሁለት ነጥብ 36 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ጭማሪ አሳይቷል።

የቡና ዋጋ በተለይም ከጥቅምት ወር ጀምሮ ከ20 እስከ 25 በመቶ ቅናሽ ማሳየቱ፣ የገዥዎች ፍላጎት መቀነስ፣ በመጋቢት ወር መጨረሻ ላይ የባቡር ትራንስፖርት በመቆሙ 4800 የሚሆን የቡና ምርት ለማጓጓዝ ችግር ማጋጠሙ እንደ ተግዳሮት ተጠቅሷል።

በተያዘው በጀት ዓመት 810 ሺህ ቶን ቡና ለውጪ ገበያ በማቅረብ 2 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ገቢ ለማግኘት ባለሥልጣኑ እቅድ ይዟል። ባለፈው በጀት ዓመት 652 ሺህ ቶን ቡና ወደ ውጭ ተልኮ 1 ነጥብ 4 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ገቢ መገኘቱ ይታወሳል።

#ሻይ_ቅጠል

በበጀት ዓመቱ ዘጠኝ ወራት 806 ነጥብ 61 ቶን የሻይ ቅጠል ምርት በመላክ አንድ ነጥብ 83 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ገቢ ተገኝቷል።

ባለሥልጣኑ በዚህ ወቅት ባለሥልጣኑ አንድ ሺህ 476 ነጥብ 79 ቶን ሻይ ቅጠል ምርት ለውጭ ገበያ በመላክ ሁለት ነጥብ 49 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ለማግኘት አቅዶ ነበር።

ይህም እቅዱን በመጠን 55 በመቶ ፤ በገቢ ደግሞ 74 በመቶ ማሳካት የቻለ ሲሆን፤ ካለፈው ዓመት ተመሳሳይ ጊዜ ጋር ሲነጻጸርም በመጠን ሁለት ነጥብ 9 በመቶ ጭማሪ እና በገቢ ሁለት ነጥብ 5 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ጭማሪ አሳይቷል።

እስካሁን በሀገሪቱ 3 ሺህ 377 ሄክታር መሬት በሻይ ቅጠል ምርት የሚሸፍን ነው።

Annual export performance of Ethiopian sesame

Ethiopia is well known for a lot organic products, from all of them two of the products are very famous by the international community coffee and sesame . Ethiopian has three types of sesame, Humera sesame , wollega sesame and Reddish sesame . Ethiopian humera sesame is known us the best sesame in the world some even call it “ The white gold of Ethiopia” . It is mainly being exported for the international market .

In Ethiopia there are two purchasing systems to buy agricultural products for export purpose through Ecx and contract farming . The total quantity which is bought from Ecx starting from July 08/2022 - July 7/ 2023 is 74,353 metric ton by the total price of $151,749,600. And through the contract farming it is estimated 54,228.62 metric ton When we come to the export amount the overall export amount by this time period is 127,581.62 metric ton the revenue it generates is $229,600,330.

Ethiopian Whitish Humera Sesame Seed is the world leading brand for its high quality. It is produced in the fertile low land of North Western part of Country. The other major brand next to humeral sesame seed is whitish Wollega Sesame Seeds.sesame is one of the most highly sought after cash crop in the region Sesame seeds have propagated in Ethiopia as a main foreign exchange earner, only second to coffee .
Ethiopia takes the 4.0% of world production of sesame in the world.
- More than 43 countries are buying Ethiopian oilseeds China is sharing more that 60% by value in importing sesame seeds followed by Israel.
-Ethiopia is ranked the 4th exporter to china and the first to isreal taking 61% market share in 2022 . 2021/2022 the exported quantity was 145,102 Ton .this year in 5 months Ethiopia have exported 55,873.66MT by the total price of 101,354,260usd the average price is 1813,98$ fob Djibouti per ton

- The global production of sesame have declined if we look our neighbor country Sudan their production capacity have declined by 25% .Globally the production quantity of sesame was estimated to decline from 1650000- 1535000 MT because of weather and disturbance problem in big sesame producing countries this makes the demand of sesame very high.

- The highest price for Ethiopian Humera sesame price in history is 2550$ Cnf to china at the year of 2008. The previous year (2021/22) the price was 1800$ Cnf ,currently the price have gone up around 2200$ -2300$ cnf china port

-The problem is not the international price booming for Ethiopian exporters but there is no that much of available stock in Ethiopia left to Export .The small available sesame is being sold from 2641.1$ upto 2732.2$ per metric tone at The Ethiopian commodity Exchange. The producers are calling it Agricultural diamond.

This company is giving relatively good Prices in order to get a contract but when the price goes a little bit down and mostly with out even a good reason if he don't get an end buyer he will default everyone he is not responsible for the products he purchase . He started doing this many years ago,he defualted more than 10 contract in this year  but  he is still buying goods in Ethiopia. The owner, Haji Muhammad Zakir, is unable to enter Ethiopia due to a court  case brought by the Ethiopians, so his  person who comes often to Ethiopia to checke the goods is called Usman and he was held by police one time but  they couldn't find any legal attachments with the company so they couldn't do anything .At this exact moment ,  he bought 16 containers of soybeans , when it arrived in China port , he defaulted and he didn't give any response for that but when we checked the end buyers import permite was expired and the exporter was made into a loss and many kind of issues  and we are trying to find him a solutions .
