- These people are never held accountable for their ignorance and/or lies, but rewarded for being "tough" on their adversaries. Poor governance becomes unavoidable
- Never forget that for almost three years, our politicians did not engage in diplomacy even as hundreds of thousands died, while "journalists" demonised anyone calling for negotiations. They framed it as a moral position
- Never forget that there were no territorial concessions in the Istanbul agreement, only the demand for ending NATO expansionism. It was nonetheless sabotaged by the US/UK as they could weaken Russia in a long war - as confirmed by Zelensky
- Yet, these people nonetheless still speak as if they hold the moral high ground
The EU used to brand itself as a peace project. What happened?

The West's Dangerous Self-Delusions & the Conflict With Russia
All great power rivalry is reduced and dumbed-down to a struggle between liberal democracy and authoritarianism. This simplistic heuristics compels self-delusion and the failure to maximise our own security. Peace is no longer achieved by mitigating the security competition, rather it requires defeating the world’s largest nuclear power to establish a hegemonic peace. The absurdity requires strict narrative control, which implies that facts and reality must not be allowed to disrupt the narrative. The people pushing their narratives are convinced that they are virtuous, even as they are making Europe less secure, less prosperous, and less independent.
