Musk's tryst with politcs & Trump makes Tesla the prime target of dissenters
As Tesla CEO Elon Musk tries to enhance his political influence in US President Donald Trump’s administration, the electric carmaker facilities have come under fire from people who are angered by the billionaire’s tactics. According to NBC News, there have been at least 10 acts of vandalism against Tesla cars, dealerships or charging stations in recent weeks.
The acts underscore the backlash Musk is facing over his unprecedented role in the federal government and how he managed to drastically cut the federal workforce in a short period. On January 29, a little over a week after Trump and his ‘First Buddy’ Musk assumed their respective offices, a 40-year-old woman threw a Molotov cocktail at a Cybertruck parked at a dealership in Loveland, Colorado.

On the eve of International Women’s Day, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh today virtually interacted with Lt Cdr Dilna K and Lt Cdr Roopa A, the crew of Navika Sagar Parikrama II, a flagship initiative of the Indian Navy aimed at circumnavigating the globe through a two-women crew on board. The sailing vessel INSV Tarini, currently in the South Atlantic Ocean, is heading to Cape Town, South Africa.
Raksha Mantri commended the courage, dedication & resilience of the crew, and reiterated the Government’s vision of a gender-inclusive Armed Forces while encouraging more young women to aspire for careers in defence and adventure sports. 🇮🇳
CASO has launched by J&k SOG and Indian army QRT team
The three civilians went missing in the Lohai Malhar area of Kathua after they left home to attend a marriage in the Billawar area. Twenty-four hours after they went missing, there is no clue about their whereabouts with the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
However, the police have ruled out any terror angle in the investigation so far. Locals of the area said the three civilians went missing at around 8.30 p.m. Thursday when a marriage party was going from the Dehota village of Billawar to the Surag village of Lohai Malhar.

The report also underscores the need for impetus to enhance ‘Aatmanirbharta’ in the Aerospace domain with the private sector complementing the effort of DPSUs and DRDO. An Indian Army Special Forces contingent has set forth for Kyrgyzstan for KHANJAR-XII, the 12th edition of India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces exercise beginning tomorrow. The two-week long exercise aims to exchange experiences and best practices in counter-terrorism & Special Forces Operations in urban and mountainous high-altitude terrain scenarios. Walz admits he & Harris played 'too safe' during 2024 presidential campaign against Trump
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who was the running mate of former US Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 US presidential elections, said that the duo was “too safe” during the race. In an interview with Politico, Walz emphasised that Democrats should learn from US President Donald Trump’s win to come back stronger in the 2028 polls.
“We shouldn’t have been playing this thing so safe,” the Minnesota Governor told Politico, emphasising that they should have held more in-person events around the US. During the initial stages of Harris’s campaign, Walz was seen as one of the Democratic Party’s most effective messengers against Trump and Vance in 2024. He was best known for his frequent description of the Republican firebrands as “weird”.

China hits Canada with retaliatory tariffs
China's Ministry of Commerce announced a 100% tariff on Canadian agricultural products and 25% on pork and seafood.
Canada had previously imposed a 100% tariff on Chinese EVs and a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports.

A Jaguar aircraft of the IAF crashed at Ambala, during a routine training sortie today, after encountering system malfunction. The pilot maneuvered the aircraft away from any habitation on ground, before ejecting safely.
An inquiry has been ordered by the IAF, to ascertain the cause of the accident.

Indian Army and Bank of India formalised an #MoU on 04 March 2025, committing to a three-year partnership that provides additional insurance cover and a host of other benefits to defence account holders. The agreement was signed in the presence of Lieutenant General Rajeev Puri, DG MP & PS and Shri Subrat Kumar, Executive Director, Bank of India.
This MoU, apart from providing Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) Cover of ₹1 Cr and Air Accident Insurance Cover of ₹2 Cr also provides Children Education Cover of ₹10 Lakh and additional PAI cover of ₹20 Lakh on contributory health insurance scheme. The bank is extending the benefits of the MoU to Serving Personnel, Agniveers and Veterans.

The United States suspends all military aid to Ukraine.
According to Bloomberg, all American military equipment currently en route to Ukraine or awaiting shipment in transit zones will not enter the country's territory until "Kiev demonstrates a commitment to peace talks."
Previously, President Trump called Zelensky's words about the conflict not ending soon the worst statement that the United States will no longer tolerate.
