If you can't join a group because of pornographic content and use an iPhone follow the steps below. If you live in a country that bans porn skip to the 3rd alternative.
1. Login to 'Telegram Web' (http://web.telegram.org)
2. Hit the three lines and switch to the old version
3. Open Settings > Privacy and Security
4. Check Disable Filtering box under Sensitive Content
5. Close and Reopen Telegram app, if not, Delete and Reinstall Telegram app
Possible alternate methods if the above doesn't work:
1. Try some alternative Telegram apps (Telegram Lite, Nicegram, BGram etc - there are many choices)
2. Get the Telegram apk directly from the website, not the Play Store (android only)
3. Create a new account with a fake number using 2nd number app. https://sms-activate.org/ is what I recommend, buy a number from England or other country that doesn't ban porn. (Other alternatives that could work are TextMe, Talkatone, TextNow, Burner etc ) Make sure to add 2 factor authenticator after making the account so no one else can join if they get the same fake number.

Hey everyone. I wanted to make you aware of some changes to how we moderate the group to combat a recent uptick in spam and abusive content.
⚠️ I cannot stress enough how important it is that you type @admin whenever you see spam or abuse, especially if the spam could result in deletion of the group. (Typing @admin immediately pings our staff, allowing for quick and efficient resolution. Abusing the admin ping will get you muted.)
Starting today, groups will have Night-mode enabled (between the hours of 12 AM and 8 AM eastern), preventing any messages being sent by anyone not already verified by staff.
We are making these changes to minimize the chances of our groups being deleted - Telegram has been deleting groups that fail to moderate for unsafe content. Your cooperation is critical to ensure our groups remain safe and available for all to enjoy.
