Day 18: Understanding Your Sleep Cycles

Affirmation: “I honor my body’s natural rhythm, allowing deep sleep to restore me.”

Practical Tip: Aim for sleep in 90-minute cycles (e.g., 6 hours, 7.5 hours, or 9 hours). Waking up between cycles leads to feeling refreshed rather than groggy.

Mellifluous: The Echo That Endures
If there is one thing that lingers beyond the transience of breath, it is the mellifluous cadence of words well-spoken, of wisdom well-heeded. Long after the flame has been extinguished, the warmth of its glow remains.
And so, dear traveler upon this fleeting road, weave your words like golden thread upon the loom of eternity. Let them be gentle as a lullaby, fierce as a battle cry, soft as a whispered prayer. Let them live beyond you, singing their eternal echoes in the symphony of existence.

Beyond Bonds: The Quiet Blessing of Thoughtful Souls

If you’re fortunate enough to have someone—beyond your parents—who quietly thinks about you, who wonders if you’ve eaten, or pauses at a buffet line and chooses to pack a meal for you instead of indulging themselves, then you’ve been touched by a rare kind of grace.

These are the people whose care is subtle but sincere—who don’t shout their love, but serve it gently through thoughtfulness. Too often, we overlook such souls, failing to notice their quiet offerings of affection. And sadly, many believe they have no such person in their lives, simply because they haven't paused to look closely.

But here’s the deeper truth: even if you feel no one thinks of you this way, you can be that person for someone else. And in doing so, you offer the world one of its greatest gifts—unspoken, unconditional care.

In a world where you can be anything, be kind— Jennifer Dukes Lee
Some blessings arrive quietly, disguised as people who think of you when you least expect it.

So, cherish the ones who think of you in silence—and choose, every now and then, to be someone’s quiet blessing too.

Good morning!

There’s a Japanese legend that teaches a powerful lesson: If you board the wrong train, get off at the next station—because the longer you stay, the more costly the return journey becomes. And this isn’t just about trains.

The wrong train can be a bad decision, a toxic relationship, or a career that drains you. The longer you stay, the harder it is to turn back. At first, a small misstep is easy to correct. But as time passes, attachment grows, and you start convincing yourself—maybe things will improve, maybe I’ve come too far to leave now. And before you know it, the emotional, financial, or psychological cost of returning becomes overwhelming.

The lesson is simple: If you realize you’re on the wrong path, don’t delay. The sooner you choose change, the easier the journey ahead will be.

Wishing you a day filled with clarity and courage! 🌿✨

Lachrymose: The Rain That Nourishes
The world tells you not to weep, to stifle the rivulets that carve canyons into your soul. But what is rain if not the earth's own lachrymose offering - its sorrow wept upon parched land, birthing fields of verdant green? So too must we embrace our grief, for it is the crucible where our strength is forged. In the throes of despondent nights, when darkness seems to smother the last embers of hope, let your tears cleanse, not corrode.

🦅From Barnyard Bound to Sky-High Crown: The Eagle's Awakening 🦅

Once upon a time, in a quaint and bustling barnyard, a farmer found a seemingly abandoned eagle egg near a mountain cliff. The farmer, filled with compassion, took the egg back to his farm and placed it under a mother hen. The egg, blending with the rest of the clutch, hatched along with the chicken eggs.

Out came a magnificent little eaglet, oblivious to its majestic lineage. Raised among the chicks, it clucked, pecked, and fluttered about just like its chicken siblings. The eaglet, convinced it was a chicken, grew up behaving as such, limited by the boundaries of the barnyard.

One day, a soaring eagle spotted the young bird in the barnyard and swooped down. The eagle asked the young bird what it was doing among chickens. Bewildered, the young eagle replied, “I am a chicken, and this is where I belong.”

The soaring eagle, recognizing the potential within, encouraged the young bird to stretch its wings and feel the wind. With hesitation and doubt, the young eagle struggled, but eventually felt the rush of air beneath its wings. Slowly, the eagle rose above the barnyard, soaring higher and higher until it reached the sky where it truly belonged.

Lessons Learned:
You Are Not Limited by Where You Were Raised: The young eagle's upbringing in the barnyard did not define its true potential. Our origins do not have to determine our destiny.

The Beliefs of Those Around You Can Hold You Back: The eaglet believed it was a chicken because it was surrounded by chickens. Sometimes, the perspectives and beliefs of those around us can constrain our growth.

You Are Meant for More Than You Think:
The young eagle realized it was capable of soaring high above the barnyard. Our capabilities often surpass our own beliefs and those imposed by others.

Growth Happens When You Grow (Not Just Go) Through Pain: Struggling to fly was painful and challenging for the young eagle, but it led to immense growth. Embracing and enduring hardships can be the path to true growth and fulfillment.

So, what are your wings capable of, I wonder? 🦅

Enjoy Reading always and all the ways.
