There is a tradition that dates back to the middle ages, that turned today to what we call April Fools today.

[Enforcer update 1 April 2017]
now u can no longer elevate yourself and when u elevate someone else they get added to a blocked list of people who cannot elevate, existing temp elevated users can elevate others still but they wont be able to elevate themselves anymore and the people they elevate cant elevate anyone. So the problem should resolve itself now.
If you were getting "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." errors please set your group language as the bot didn't know what you spoke. It should be resolved though going forward.
[Bot Lag]
Hey everyone, we know the bots are currently lagging, but there is currently nothing we can do : WerewolfBot and WerewolfBetaBot receive unstable updates from Telegram, and Enforcer and Enforcer Premium are also encountering issues. Devs are currently unavailable, please be patient until issue gets solved.
Until then, *please try to avoid useless commands (pings, @admin, getstatus, so on* .
The less commands you make, the faster the bots will recover.
[Moderator Game modes]
Just so everyone knows. /startgame was updated and does not give boring roles anymore. /startgame is actually the balanced version of /startchaos. Hence the chances of a team winning, would be eqyal. People got too used to chaos.
Enforcer Premium is getting that thing where telegram just does not want to send updates.

I really don't understand what is happening with @werewolfbot. I've restarted it a few times, it won't receive properly. Applying more patches....
I have put @enforcerbot on another old server. Basic commands like /ban, /kick etc will work but call back buttons won't and some new features will be missing.
@enforcedbot is still down with the rest of the bots though. We apologize for this

[General - Troubleshooting]
Just to let everyone know, we are currently troubleshooting an issue on the server with a process eating up CPU cycles. So far, the best answer for this particular issue we have found would be to completely reinstall the OS. Obviously, we aren't doing that (hopefully) - I'd much rather actually fix the problem. I could reboot the server, which will fix the issue for a few hours.... but then it would just come back again.
During this time, the bot may be a little more laggy (than it already has been due to the issue). We appreciate your patience.
There is a chance that we will schedule some down time to do some patching of the server / more troubleshooting that can't be done while the bots are running. I do apologize for this.
@enforcerbot isn't getting updates from telegram.

Performance Logging
I will now be logging the groups that put the heavist load on the premium bot. If you are found guilty of overloading it you group will be taken off the bot.
Some of you must have noticed that the join link for the following groups are broken: @werewolfgame, @werewolfsupport, and @werewolfvets. The links will be broken for a while, but rest assured we are working on a solution to retrieve them.

[Grey Wolf - the End]
Most of you probably weren't here when I started werewolfbot back in March last year, but it has now been a year.
With more than 1.3 milion users, and over 6690000 games played, we have achieved a huge milestone. However, there are other things on the schedule, so this is to say @werewolfbot and @werewolfbetabot will be *shut down* FOREVER as of tomorrow 02APR2017. I have way too many projects, my wife, my kids, everything to take care of, and the server werewolf runs on is overloaded. I just don't have the time anymore to keep up with Werewolf, and quite frankly I'm tired of looking at it.
If you happen to be in Texas on May 1st, we're throwing off a party for the end of werewolf, you can message @parawuff for details and organisation.

A lot of updates tonight.
*Fixed issues with incorrect markdown
*added the message contains @admin to flag reports when a message is forwarded
Those were just minor bug fixes the major system is the addition of the authorisation and elevation system which make use of:
/elevate - Gives a user bot admin rights forever when run by creator but only 30 minutes when run by a normal group admin
/deelevate - Removes a permanent users elavated rights
/elevatelog - a log of who has been elevated by admins and when
/auth - Make a user be seen as the group creator by the bot. This will mean the bot will act as if the are the group creator with the above command and any other future creator only commands
/blockelevate - Stops an admin from elevating other users
/deauth - Removes a users auth rights. This can be run by other auth users and the creator.
The auth system is meant to help groups with inactive creators as an active admin can be given that role.
The reason normal admins can elevate users for 30 minutes is to allow them to get more users to help out when needed, this is logged so that creators and auth users can review what the admins have done.

The werewolf community is made out of people from all horizons.
Whether in the US, in France, in Belgium, in Turkey, Iraq, or any other country that gets struck by ISIS, we usually know people who were struck directly or indirectly by the attacks.
Two things on that : The way people are killed by ISIS/ISIL is horrible. But keep in mind traffic or genetic illness both kill more than Terrorism. I'm not saying we should not wage war against Terrorism. We need to. However, their biggest weapon are media and popular opinion. They are not as effective as we perceive them to be.
Second thing : Media point Telegram as "A sulfurous messaging app"Le Figaro when actually, the only thing Telegram defends is it's users, while fighting against ISIS. Value your freedom. Don't think creating backdoors is legitimate, it's not. We, the Werewolf Team, are proud of one of the most respectful messaging apps on the market. Help us bring down it's image.
Use the REPORT button in the app or abuse@telegram.org to report ISIS or PedoPorno content.
