One should not lie for one’s own sake or for the sake of others, or for the sake of his profession or for the fulfillment of his desires.
One should not speak rudely or harshly, and speak softly without using harsh words, without betraying or hurting others, and without hypocritically.
Those who speak without sinful
gossip, without anger, with sincerity of mind and heart, without hurting the heart of others, so that others may also find peace, will get rid of all sins and certainly reach heaven.

The Supreme Lord who is one without a second, who has no desires, who has no form or name, who was never born, who is real, consciousness and ocean of bliss, who is the supreme destination of all, and who is present in all and in whose form the entire world is included, that very Supreme Lord has taken up the divine body and done various types of Acts.
Those acts are solely for the benefit of the devotees, because God is supremely gracious/kind and immensely loves his refugees. He bestows immense love and grace on his devotees, he is such that once if he bestows his grace upon someone, then he never gets angry on that person.

Śrī Durgā Tattvam
‘Durgā’ nāma is very efficacious and powerful. This connotes multiple meanings and each has great significance.
1. Śrī durgā sūktam mentions ‘Nāvēva Sindhum Duritātyagni:’ Just like a boat ferries across the ocean, the very name (nāma) of ‘Durgā’ transports us across this ocean of mundane existence.
2. It is only the ‘Durga’ in whom we can take refuge anytime for anything, especially in times of turbulence.
Durgā Saptaśati elaborates on
the same mentioning ‘Tvām āsritānām Na Vipannarānām Tvāmāsritāhi Āsrayatām Prayāti’.
This means that those who take refuge in Her, took refuge in the most appropriate. They need not again even think of something else, because they shall be soon relieved of all their difficulties.
Hence, another meaning of ‘Durgā’ is ‘One who provides shelter’.
3- ‘Durgamu’ means fort. Just as the safety and protection of a king staying in his own impregnable fort is definite and assured, protection of those who recite the ‘Durgā’ nāma is definite as they live in the unassailable fortification of the Divine Mother.
4. Just like Vishnu, ‘Durgāmba’ is the powerhouse that destroys bad tendencies, wicked influences and evil thoughts completely. Hence, She is also known as ‘Vaiṣṇavi’.
‘Aṣṭami’ i.e. eighth day in the lunar calendar is dear to Mother.
Durgā Saptaśati also extolls Mother as ‘Saranāgata Dīnārta Paritrāṇa Parāyaṇi Sarvasyārti Harē Devī Nārayaṇi Namōstute.’
This means Mother has an addiction – the addiction to immediately save those who take refuge in Her. She is invincible and grants victory to those who pray Her. She assured Gods that She will incarnate whenever it is necessary to destroy demonic forces in this world.
Mahābhārata explicitly mentions that Lord Krishna advocated the worship of Mother Durgā to both Yudhiṣṭhira and Arjuna before going incognito and the war respectively.
Vedas dictate that ‘Durgā’ is that supreme truth beyond which there is none and nothing.
‘Durgā’ is the embodiment of Para Brahman which is beyond the expression of mind and speech. One should worship Mother Durga to eradicate evil influences and propagate virtuous thoughts in and around us.
Śubhā Navarātrē to everyone. May durgā bless you all with happiness and prosperity.

What is peace?
To most people peace simply means having the world turn the way that they want it to turn. If everything goes their way, in other words, they've got peace. If they have everything they think they should have, they're peaceful. But there is something else.
You can only give the world what you are yourself. In other words, you cannot be confused, and angry and upset and walk around with a peace sign, shouting peace, and hitting everyone else over the head with your sign if they don't agree with you.
Peace is your real nature. But it's been covered up for years, as the clouds cover the sun. You do not say the sun doesn't shine any longer. You realize that in due time the clouds will dissipate and you will have the sun shining once more in all its glory and splendor.
So it is with humanhood. There are certain people, because of God's grace, karma, they're able to understand the truth about the world, about reality, and these people become the peacemakers, for they become an example. By their very presence peace follows. They do not go out and try to demonstrate for peace or talk about peace. They become an example.
A rose need not declare, "I am fragrant." By its very presence it exudes fragrance. A being with peace in his or her heart need not say, "I am peaceful and let's make peace in the world." By their very presence people become peaceful.

Among the festivals that we celebrate every year, the Deepavali festival is an important one.
“Deepavali” means – a row of lamps. A Lamp represents Jnana (knowledge).
Move away from darkness towards light of Jnana – this is the message of Deepavali. Darkness represents ignorance. Dispelling Ignorance and Attaining Jnana – is the essence of Deepavali. Jnana is most important to man.
Bhagavan says in the Bhagavad Gita – Na hi Jnanena Sadrisham Pavitram iha Vidyate.
There is nothing that is as Pavitra as Jnana. The Shastras say that Mukti (liberation) can be obtained only by Jnana.
Hence Jnana is of paramount importance. We must acquire this Jnana and dispel ignorance. This is possible only through a Sadguru. Without a Guru’s Grace, ignorance remains and the acquisition of Jnana does not come about. When we realize this fact, and make efforts towards acquiring Jnana, Our life becomes purposeful.
May this Deepavali festival bring about such a realization and inspire everyone. May everyone rid themselves of their mental impurities, be of a pure mind, and cheerfully and lovingly engage with all.
Sri Adi Shankaracharya has said - Tvayi mayi ca anyatra eko vishnuhvyartham kupyasi mayi asahahisnuh– “When the same consciousness pervades you and me, “who hates whom? Who can be angry with whom?”
Hence hate and anger are unwarranted. Everyone must be amicable and loving to all.
May this Deepavali bring about the welfare of all. May everyone joyfully celebrate this Deepavali and be a recipient of God’s Grace.
Bhagavan Krishna Paramatma annihilated Narakasura on the Ashwayuja Krishna Chaturadashi. Hence the day is called Naraka Chaturdashi. It is on this day that Bhagavan put an end to Narakasura and brought about the wellbeing of all. Hence on this occasion, we must remember Bhagavan with utmost devotion, worship Him and be a recipient of His Grace.
May everyone be a recipient of Bhagavan’s Grace and live with joy.

Man must always have faith in God, who alone removes our hardship. Bhagavan himself has said in the Bhagavad Gita that he will never forsake one who has trusted him. That bhakti should intensify with time, and not diminish.
If we firmly understand that we are only reaping the fruits of our karma, and keep doing our duty, dedicating the results to God, our faith will not go down under any circumstances.
That is why one should attend discourses on the great epics, such as the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavatam, whenever possible by frequenting places wherever they are conducted and God's attributes highlighted. This will help to strengthen the sadhaka's devotion.
Our Sastras give maximum importance to devotion. Unshakeable faith in God always gives sreyas ( happiness) and takes man to moksha itself.
Therefore, it may be said that man, by his one-pointed devotion, can attain God in this birth itself by cutting ignorance with the sword of knowledge. By listening to God's exalted qualities, a seeker with his faith and determination can free himself from bondage and cross the ocean of samsara.

Some persons worship God for the sake of obtaining wealth, others because they want to have a son, and they think themselves Bhagavatas (devotees). This is no Bhakti, and they are not true Bhagavatas.
When a Sadhu comes, who professes that he can make gold, they run to him, and they still consider themselves Bhagavatas. It is not Bhakti, if we worship God with the desire for a son; it is not Bhakti, if we worship with the desire to be rich; it is not Bhakti, even if we have a desire for heaven.
Bhakti is not the outcome of fear or greediness. He is the true Bhagavata, who says: "O God, I do not want a beautiful wife, I do not want Knowledge or Salvation. Let me be born and die hundreds of times. What I want is that I should be ever engaged in your service". It is at this stage — and when a man sees God in everything, and everything in God — that he attains perfect Bhakti.

Adi Parashakti :
The Devi Atharva Sirsha describes Adi Parashakti's features as follows:
She said: I am an aspect of Brahma. From me this Universe, in form of Prakriti and Purusha, is generated; which is both void and non-void.
I am both bliss and non-bliss. I am knowledge and non-knowledge. I am Brahma and non-Brahma (the non-manifest state called Abrahma). I am the five primordial principles and non-principles. I am the whole perceived Universe.
I am Veda (knowledge about Brahma) and non-knowledge. I am learning and ignorance. I am unborn and also born. I am up, down and in the middle.
I move about in form of Rudra and Vasu. I move about as Aditya and all the Gods. I sustain Mitra, Varuna, Indra, Agni and both the Ashvinas.
In me there are Soma, Tvasta, Pusha and Bhaga. In me there are Vishnu with wide footsteps, Brahma and Prajapati.
She is the eight Vasus. She is the eleven Rudras. She is the twelve Adityas. She is the all the Gods, drinking Soma or non-drinking. She is Yatudhan, Rakshashas, Asuras, Pishachas, Yakshas and Siddhas (kinds of demonic or malicious beings). She is Satva, Rajas and Tamas. She is Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra. She is Prajapati, Indra and Manu. She is the planets, stars and constellations. She is various measures of Time. She is destroyer of sins, giver of both enjoyment and Moksha, without end, giving victory over distractions of Samsara, pure, worth taking refuge, giver of peace, peace personified, we pray to Her.
Even Brahma and the other Devas do not know her real form, so she is called Ajñeya. We do not find its limit, so she is called Ananta. We can not find the meaning, so she is called Alakshya. Her birth is not known, so she is called Aja. She is found everywhere, so she is called Eka, the One. She has taken up all the various forms, so she is called Naika. Because of this she is called these various names.
Amongst the mantras She is the original sounds, in the words She is the essence of knowledge. Amongst the knowledge She is beyond what is comprehensible by analysis and by deep meditation, She is the witness to that state. She is well known as Durga, there is nothing better than her.
I, afraid of the Samsara, offer my salutations to Durga, difficult to know, destroyer of sins and pilot while crossing this sea of Samsara.

D: What is meant by dhyāna?
A: Dhyāna is the state wherein the mind concentrates on just one object.
D: What is the main advantage of practising dhyāna?
A: If mental concentration is achieved by practice, the mind can then be turned towards Īśvara, and being thus purified, it can be directed towards the Ātman, which is formless and devoid of attributes. By doing this, one attains the state of nirvikalpa-samādhi, the culmination of dhyāna, wherein one realises the Truth.
D: Though meditation can do so much good, why is it very difficult to practise?
A: The difficulty in controlling the mind is indeed the reason.
D: How can the mind be controlled?
A: The Lord has said that practice and dispassion are the means.
D: What are the obstacles to get dhyāna?
A: Do you ask about obstacles during meditation or those arising at other times?
D: I am asking about the obstacles that prevent one from attaining samādhi during meditation.
A: The first among the obstacles is vikṣepa; that is, the mind wanders in all directions. This is the foremost obstacle.
• The second is the mind attaining a dull state. Of course, vikṣepa is absent. Even this is bad. If one attains an inert condition similar to sleep, one will not reach the Supreme state.
• Sakaṣāya is the third obstacle. This is a state wherein there is neither vikṣepa nor mental inertness. It gives a sort of happiness, but in it the seed of desire is not destroyed. This is unlike samādhi. One should carefully go beyond even this.
D: How can we calm down the distracted mind?
A: We should turn the mind repeatedly to the object of meditation. With growth of dispassion, vikṣepa subsides. During meditation, the conviction that meditation alone is important should exist. The feeling that the form or sound being meditated upon is actually present is useful in focussing the mind.
D: What is to be done if the mind becomes dull or sleepy?
A: If a person is alert, he can discern that his mind is becoming passive and dull. By sensing the onset of torpor and awakening and focussing the mind, he can deal with dullness. The japa that is being done may be intensified. If this is done, the mind will become alert. But if, in spite of effort, the mind continues to drift into the state of torpor, it is advisable to take a small break, have a walk and then recommence dhyāna.
On certain occasions, the mind should not be forced to meditate. If there is tiredness, it is advisable to commence dhyāna after a break. But, if indolence is the reason for the dullness, one should force the mind to continue with meditation.
D: Is it necessary to do japa during dhyāna?
A: While doing saguṇa-upāsanā, japa is very useful in the beginning. It helps the mind to be calm. As the mind locks on to the object of dhyāna, japa ceases of its own accord. Thus, there is often no need to stop japa wilfully.

The course of Sadhana is of three kinds.
1) of the nature of birds,
2) of the nature of monkeys and
3) of the nature of ants.
🐦 1) The bird comes and pecks at a fruit, which perhaps falls down at the jerk, and the bird cannot get it for eating. So there are devotees, who try to rush on with devotional practices with such violence that they often frustrate their attempts.
🐒 2) It is the nature of the monkey to jump from branch to branch, holding a fruit in its mouth, and while jumping, the fruit often falls down from its mouth. Thus at times, distracted by the changing events of life the aspirants lose sight of the devotional path, if the grasp is not firm.
🐜 3) The ant creeps gently and steadily towards a grain of food, and carries it back to its hole, where it enjoys it comfortably. The course of Sadhana like that of the ant is considered the best ― there is sureness of attaining and enjoying the fruit.

Accept whatever comes in life, even suffering with equanimity, for karmic debt must be paid, sooner or later : A story of Lord Lahiri Mahasaya
━━━━━━━━━━
Everyday in the morning, Yogiraj [Lahiri Mahasaya] would go for a holy dip in the Ganges at Ranamahal Ghat accompanied by His faithful devotee Krishnaram. That day also, after the dip Yogiraj was returning home alongwith Krishnaram through an alley. Suddenly He mentioned — “Krishnaram tear off a cloth.”
Krishnaram could not follow what his Guru Maharaj (the Gracious One) was telling him.
After walking a few steps, a brick from the terrace of a house fell on the foot of Yogiraj. One of His toes was grazed and blood started oozing out. Quickly, He tore a piece of cloth from His attire and bandaged the toe. Krishnaram assisted Him in doing this.
After this, Krishnaram with folded hands enquired — “Maharaj, if you knew before that the brick would fall, why didn't You avoid it? For then, You wouldn’t have suffered this injury.”
Yogiraj replied — “That is not possible Krishnaram. If I had avoided it, I would have had to suffer the pain with interest at any other time. I have to receive what is destined, therefore the earlier it is completed, the better it is.”

One may gain worldly pleasures, but they will not bring happiness to one. Material things cannot reveal the nature of the true Self, and it is for this reason that the wise renounce the world and become free from all worldly ties. When they fully realize that these worldly things will not bring them happiness and will not make them free from the fear of death, renunciation becomes a matter of joy for them.
It is the ignorant and the self-deluded who care for the momentary worldly pleasures. Those who are attracted by the charms and temptations of the objects of the senses simply fool themselves. They are responsible for their follies and therefore they suffer.
All sufferings and pains spring from ignorance, while happiness springs from knowledge. It is knowledge that brings the highest bliss.

Unconscious habits are stronger than conscious habits. All habit patterns are self-created. When we sit down and try to understand which of our habits control our life, we see that there are many deep-rooted habits within us.
We should learn to study them. Once we become aware of harmful thoughts and emotions that have created deep grooves in the mind, we can begin to change them by creating new grooves. Then the mind will stop flowing to the old grooves and start flowing to the new ones. In this way we can change our habits.

Sattva, rajas and tamas are three gunas that constitute prakriti or maya.
Of these -
• Sattva is associated with knowledge, wisdom, contentment and serenity.
• When rajas dominates, one becomes ambitious, agitated and active.
• Tamas takes over with laziness, violence, hatred and so on.
The presence of pure sattva guna necessarily means an absence of avarana (concealing the true nature of a thing) that tamas induces, and vikshepa (projecting something else in its place) that is born out of rajas.
The absence of rajas and tamas leads to the emergence of only sattva guna whose effect is purity of mind.
This paves way for peace and contentment as natural concomitant, as the mind ceases to seek the unessential world outside.
Consequentially, such a person remains in his Atman at all times.

Out of sheer compassion, Sri
Adi Sankara gave Jnana in
multiple forms. He composed
essentials of Jnana for all walks of life – student, householder, sanyasi etc. – in the forms of simple questions and answers called ‘Prasnottara Malika’ about various aspects of life – how to live, what to obtain, what to do etc
Q - Kēna jitaṁ jagadētat?? By whom will this world be conquered?
A - Satya titīkṣāvatā punsā – Those endowed with truth and forbearance shall conquer this world.
What is the secret to conquer this world? How can one win over everyone? Secret to successful life is shown here.
1. Satyam – Truth. This means to stay without any deceitfulness. Truth always triumphs.
2. titīkṣā – Forbearance. Tolerance is an excellent quality. Lack of tolerance is widely prevalent these days. Even small verbal duels are leading to divorces. ‘titīkṣā’ is the quality to tolerate others though they are causing pain. Those endowed with these two qualities certainly shall win over everyone in the world.
Q - Kasmai nāmānsi dēvā: Kurvanti ? To whom, even devatas prostrate?
A - Dayā pradhānāya – Devatas prostrate to those endowed with compassion
One should be greater than even gods for them to prostrate. Compassion is the greatest quality among all.
‘Dayā’ (Compassion) is defined as – Para duḥkha asahiṣṇutā . One who is endowed with this quality ‘Dayā’ will not be able to bear other’s pain.
The word ‘Hrudaya’ contains the word ‘ Dayā ’. It is not ‘Hrudaya’ if one does not have ‘ Dayā ’. Even gods will prostrate to one who has kindness and compassion towards everyone.
Q- Kasya vaśyē prāṇi gaṇa:? To whom, everyone remains subservient?
A- Satya priyabhāṣinō vinītasya – One who 1. Speaks Truth 2. Talks pleasingly 3. Stays humble
One who has these three qualities commands obedience from everyone –
1.Satya - Speaking Truth. Always speak truth. People respect truth, start trusting one speaking truth and implicitly follow them.
2. priyabhāṣinō– One who talks endearingly.
Speak truth, but with charm and appeal. Lord Rama while describing about Hanuman’s speech says, ‘Even enemies ready with lifted swords subside and yield, if they listen to this man’s words.’
3. vinītasya – One who is humble. Sage Valimiki describes that Lord Rama conquered elders with His humility and obedience. ‘vinītasya’ also means one who is trained and learned.
Q- Kvā sthātavyaṁ ? – What is the path to achieve good results here itself?
A- Nyāyē – The path of justice.
One is certain to obtain good results when one is following the path of justice. Following the path of justice gives courage. This gives great results here itself.

Always chant the name of God.
From the chanting of the name,
devotion, liberation and peace
– everything will blossom forth.
Be with the name with firm faith, reverence and devotion, leaving aside your pride.
You will see that all your work gets done all by itself.
As such things happened during the course of play of sadhana of this body, this is being said so emphatically.
Don’t keep aside anything to test God.
In that case there is no hope of anything happening towards His revelation.
Surrender all your belongings to Him.
He Himself sustains and is sustaining your burden and the burden of the universe, remember this.

dhyayato vishayan pumsah sangas teshupajayate
sangat sanjayate kamah kamat krodho ’bhijayate
While contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attachment for them, and from such attachment lust develops, and from lust anger arises. The attachment (and hence the desire to attain) for an object develops in the first place by perceiving it through the senses. When such desire is not fulfilled, then there comes anger in the heart (due to frustration of the desire)
Therefore the best policy is to not even think about the sense objects and thus live simply and happily. For, the more one thinks, the more one desires; the more one desires, the more one gets frustrated, and the more one gets frustrated, the more one gets angry.

Devotee.: Why are there good and evil?
Maharshi.: They are relative terms. There must be a subject to know the good and evil. That subject is the ego. Trace the source of the ego. It ends in the Self. The source of the ego is God. This definition of God is probably more concrete and better understood by you.
Devotee.: So it is. How to get Bliss?
Maharshi.: Bliss is not something to be got. On the other hand you are always Bliss. This desire is born of the sense of incompleteness. To whom is this sense of incompleteness?
Enquire. In deep sleep you were blissful: Now you are not so. What has interposed between that Bliss and this non-bliss? It is the ego. Seek its source and find you are Bliss.
There is nothing new to get. You have, on the other hand, to get rid of your ignorance which makes you think that you are other than Bliss. For whom is this ignorance? It is to the ego. Trace the source of the ego. Then the ego is lost and Bliss remains over. It is eternal. You are That, here and now....
That is the master key for solving all doubts. The doubts arise in the mind. The mind is born of the ego. The ego rises from the Self. Search the source of the ego and the Self is revealed. That alone remains. The universe is only expanded Self. It is not different from the Self.

Try to live here and now. Every moment is joyous, every moment is wonderful! Every moment is full of life—so let the flower of life bloom. If you can remain here and now; that is called meditation.

Pitfalls of walking directly to Nirguṇaṁ
━━━━━━━━━━
“Initially, one should engage in the worship and contemplation of the Personal aspect, then gradually becoming aware of the transitoriness of this world, raise oneself from the body-oriented sensory life, and in the ultimate stage take to contemplation of the Nirguna.
If you try to jump straight into the formless, it will be like falling flat to the ground from the standing position, which will inevitably break your neck. Immature youngster that you are, your life will be spent in vain resulting in no good either in this life or next life, if you attempt to scale the steep ascent without preparation.
Just as children build castles in the sand, similarly you attempt to climb the heights with verbal wisdom. Your words should reflect your inner attainments.
“Aha..! How you try to impress with empty words and exhaust yourself!
Listen, give up this attitude and take to the repetition of the Divine Name which our ancient rishis like Narada have extolled and by which they attained the Highest. Get yourself initiated into the sacred Name, attain perfect purity by chanting it for a prolonged period and then enter the realm of nirguna.
Thus enslaving Kabir by His grace and planting the conviction firmly in his mind on the saguna aspect as a ladder to the summit of Brahman, the illusory brahmin disappeared from his sight.
Kabir pondered over the brahmin’s words, “I asked him about contemplation of the Personal, he has imparted truths of the Impersonal. Whatever it is, I am saved from ruin; or else my fate would have been like trying to reach the top floor without the staircase and injuring myself.
How stupidly I persisted in my arguments of the nirguna without the requisite training for such a state. How I was deluded by my desire for this trifle of a cloth and came to grief? Alas, I have not walked my talk of the Absolute!
The theoretical wisdom is useful only for fooling innocent people. One who cannot practice what he preaches is a coward of the worst kind. I realise now, how difficult it is to attain the nirguna state, which lies beyond name and form.
Considering the ongoing battle with the sense cravings, one should tether the wobbly mind initially to saguna, the Divine name, and equip it for the flight into the Unknown. I am indeed ignorant of the path that leads to liberation. Until I find a suitable teacher to guide me to the goal, let me stick to the words of the brahmin.”
Concluding thus, Kabir started to fix his mind with great devotion on the Lord.

Who is your real enemy?
It is your own Antahkarana (mind) possessed by the evil Vrittis. That mind alone, which is free from attachment, delusion, jealousy, lust, selfishness and anger, can have constant memory of God. If the mirror is dirty, you cannot see your face properly. Even so, if the mind-mirror is dirty through the accumulation of Mala (six passions, Kama, Krodha, etc.), Brahman can not be reflected in the mind. When it is cleansed thoroughly, when it becomes Sattvic, it is fit (Yogayukta) to reflect Brahman.
Aspirants should totally abandon all the evil Vrittis described above. These constitute what is known as Asuri Sampat (devilish qualities). Whether you live in a town or in a cave of the Himalayas, it is all the same when you have a ruffled mind.
You carry your own thoughts with you even if you remove yourself to a far-off, lonely cave. The mind remains the same. Peace comes from within. Irritation, anger, impatience, revenge, suspicion, prejudice, grudge, dislike, intolerance, restlessness, depression, fired or heated feelings—all these must be totally removed by spiritual Sadhana, by developing Sattvic qualities, by meditation on OM, by constant Vichara. Then only can peace be obtained. By developing Daivi Sampat (divine qualities) such as Karuna, Satya, Ahimsa, Brahmacharya, Daya, etc., the devilish qualities will be overcome.

“The whole world is a net in which you have been caught. Consequently you are in bondage. The bondage of money and material possessions. The bondage of physical pleasures. The bondage of strong likes and dislikes as well as the bondage of anger, pride, cruelty and other negative emotions. You are not free. Yet all delusions, illusions and errors come from within.
When the "ego" is the center of our life there are borders, "restrictions" and limitations. When one becomes Self-realized there is unbounded freedom in life without the "me" as the center. Self-realization is unlimited life ! A Mahatma or Saint comprehends within his pure essence of being all existence and looks upon the entire manifestation as merely a beautiful play of cosmic forces.
The power that keeps the individual soul bound to the wheel of life and death is its thirst for separate existence. Every thought, feeling or action that springs from this idea of exclusive or separate existence binds. It is for the fulfillment of cravings connected to objects and experiences of the world of duality that the ego-mind keeps on reincarnating itself.
All persons have to pass through the state of bondage, but this period of bondage is not to be looked upon as a meaningless episode in the evolution of life. One has to experience being caged if one is to appreciate freedom. Good as well as bad, both of these kinds of samskaras (mental impressions) bind because both have to be experienced; both have to be spent. So it is impossible to be rid of samskaras by one’s own self, because whatever you do, it binds. You may think the highest thought, it binds.
━━━━━━━━━━
So how to escape these bindings ?
The only wanting, the only desiring that binds for freedom is Love. The lover wants Union, but in this Union, the ‘I’ becomes so feeble that the binding, instead of hindering, helps to free. Just think of it, God is within all, in every one, and He is infinite. God is all-powerful, God is all-bliss. And yet, though God is in each one of us, how helpless we feel! We weep, we feel pain, we feel sorrow, although God, who is so infinitely powerful and blissful, is right there within us.
Why is it so difficult for our souls to become liberated ? It is because of our own bindings.
But there is one way to get liberated from these bindings and that is through Love.
Divine Love is a strange binding. It binds and unwinds. The more you bind yourself to the Beloved ( Lord), the greater the freedom or unwinding you have..”
