hi jami, i made the defconfig using the phones config.gz without too much strife as Darius who posted previously is not here, and i have posted a syntax query on the ub ports section of telegram prior to saving as halium.config, so should be ok for awhile, cheers dave

you don't built halium at all, the standalone build scripts build your kernel and boot.img while you use a prebuilt generic system image (GSI) for Halium side

The UBPorts have instructions that include "flash halium-boot.img" on the documents under "Generic System Image (GSI). So confirming it is still required to build halium or not?

Secondly I have gotten further with finding the missing packages for building halium-boot but I am now missing module "telephony-ext" required by "platform-bootclasspath" so does anyone know where to get the module and what it expects it to be under (i.e. hardware/qcom?)

The documentation of your target distro should have instructions for that, i would recommend checking there

well if your targetting halium 14, you don't need to build halium, starting halium 9 the halium images are GSI's you just need to modify your kernel for your target distro

It was originally 8.1, currently the device im planning on testing with is running 14 with lineage 21.

I was targeting a halium 14 build as lineage has a v21 release and thought it would still be beneficial to target the latest build possible.

I believe it should also be able to use gsi images as far as I can see.

Hi all, I am asking to see if anyone can help with building halium for a new device. I am trying to build for the Razer Phone 2 (aura) and have gotten to making the boot image.

I am getting an error for a missing library "libwifi_hal_vendor".

do you mean https://github.com/ubports/porting-notes/wiki/Generic-system-image-(GSI) or? that's also deprecated documentation and probably should be archived/hidden. the only build-related steps which are relevant for treble 9+ are https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting/build_and_boot/standalone_kernel_build.html

Hey guys im trying to get the build the kernel and flash it onto a moto g7 power "ocean" using the moto g7 plus"lake" kernel, having issues as it continiously asks for interative defult settings which i have to manually put yes to without knowing what the g7 powers defult settings are. at the bottom of the pastebin i've redownloaded to start fresh but if anyone can see what im doing wrong, i would really apprecite the help.
