Sami Dean 's sister has been detained by Case Western Reserve University for what seems to be at maximum a secondary connection to a vandalism crime.
It seems like the scare tactics in the over the top arrest are only meant to intimidate people in discourage them from protesting the killing of children in genocide.
It's the same nonsense for years that have been justified and swept under the rug while dealing with our community; treat innocuous and at maximum low level offenses as if it's the next 9/11. All the while, actual criminals are off the hook or left to roam free.
The architects of this policy of overreaction toward Muslims, are the ideological brothers of the ones who demolish people's houses in Palestine for being built without a permit, even though the houses were built before the modern nation state of Israel was conceived.
It's nothing more than a small group of fanatical ideologues weaponizing the machinery of the state in order to settle their own petty ethnic and sectarian grudges.
It deserves protest...
Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn: Water, Deception in Sales & Insincere Allegiance
We talked about three people who offend the Divine Court so badly that it will no longer entertain petitions from them:
-one who is in a desolate land and has extra water but they will not share with a stranded traveler
-one who claims that they paid a certain amount for the merchandise in order to sell it for a certain price, but it's a lie
-one who pledge of allegiance to an Imām only for the sake of material gain, and if he is ingratiated he obeys, and if not he does not fulfill his word
We talked about the destruction of the material world, and how mankind will be resurrected and reconstituted again materially as well as spiritually.
We talked about the sign of the nearness of the Last Hour being the responsibility of the affairs of the Muslims being rendered over to those who are not worthy of it, and what the implications and ramifications of such a pathetic state are.
And in between context, examples and so much more...

Ghusl: Order, Nullifiers, Prohibitions & Forgetfulness
Mālikī Fiqh
In this week's lesson we cover the recommended mode of commencement of Ghusl.
Ghusl is the ritual purificatory bath by which one may remove themselves from a state of major ritual impurity and enter a state of ritual purity.
We speak about the four things that necessitate Ghusl:
1. Menstruation
2. Post Natal Bleeding
3. Orgasm/Ejaculation
4. The insertion of the male member into the female private part to the point of the obscuring of the glans, as well as other analogous modalities
We take some time discuss the difference between 1 & 2, and 3 & 4 in terms of the prohibitions connected with them.
We take some time to discuss the nature of menstruation and the mercy of the sacred Sharī'ah in mandating a break from ritual responsibilities during that time. We also speak about the difference between menstruation and chronic menstrual bleeding.
We discuss in some detail a commonly disbursed dispensation taken by the female Qur'ān teachers and students of other schools, due to the unique angle from which the Mālikī school views menstruation.
Finally, we end with a discussion regarding what to do if a person misses a limb or a spot in their Ghusl.

Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn Palm Trees & Angels
We talk about the value of just being there at the right time and at the right place with the right state of the heart; sometimes people let themselves be demotivated by not being perfect, when just showing up is a very big deal.
Likewise, we talk about the idea that certain states in the world are reflections of states in the higher realm, especially in places and occasions of spiritual illumination.
We talk about the love of Allāh being a guiding principle to approaching not just the sacred law, but one's journey in life, and how a person can avoid falling into the trap of hating Allāh and being hated by Him.
We talk about certain practical points of how a person has to navigate life with other people, and how to mitigate and protect oneself from the harms of wishing good for them. Indeed most people will resent the one who gives them that very advice that's what they need to hear.
We mentioned some of the miracles of the messenger of Allāh ﷺ, and his softness and love.
We mention some of his struggles and his humility in the path of Allāh.
And we finally and by talking about prophetic advices for not being turned into a doormat by people.
Never underestimate the importance of the basics; the only good plan B is to stick to plan A.

Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn: The Worst of People in the End Times
A discussion starts with talk regarding our connection to Islām, not through reading books alone, but through people; the most saintly of people.
This is followed by the reading of another narration regarding the end times, the return of Christ عليه السلام, his slaying of the Dajjāl or antichrist, the peace that will follow, the rapture, the destruction of the world, resurrection, and the horrors of the Day of Judgment.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oehNzoCCNdE
This is one of the titanic political incompetencies of the religious Muslim public: the idea that you are going to be able to have a top-down solution to the rot that is not only in the state, but in civilization itself.
(Trigger warning: everyone will hate me after this post. Don't look at who's saying it, but what's being said.)
Although it's true that a bad government can ruin a country, a good one cannot make it prosper alone.
This is why the IK government was a complete debacle. I give the man the benefit of the doubt that his intentions were good: however he had to staff his entire government with old military dictatorship carryovers precisely because he didn't have a nation who is ready to implement his vision, in whatever idealized form it may have been.
Egypt also had a pious man at its helm. I personally don't think he was a very good politician despite my reverence for him as a human being and as a believer. However, even if he was a good politician, what can you do when the entire state infrastructure, economy, regional and local politics of your country are all staffed and stuffed only with unscrupulous and immoral people?
This is one of the reasons it took Nūr al-Dīn Zangī both the generation before him, and the generation after him in order to see his plan come to fruition.
This is why there was such a crucial role to be played by scholars who prepared generations of functionaries, courtiers, statesmen, commanders, bureaucrats, and other trustworthy people to run the state so that they could be ready for when Ṣalāḥ al-Dīn was vouch saved the Divine gift of victory.
This is also why even though his dynasty failed to produce another good ruler, both it and the Mamlūks after them were able to run a stable state.
Individual Egyptians can be remarkably pious and learned people, but as a society so many decades have been invested in making sure that no expression of communal piety reaches beyond a certain point, and the chaos that is everyday life in Cairo is a testament to that.
If you think I'm just being racist against Egyptians, then know that the same chaos exists in Pakistan and most other countries in the Muslim world.
When you have rule by a minority that despises its populous, which is exactly what was left behind by design in post-colonial Muslim countries, this will always be the dynamic; the military is the custodian of the colonial mandate, and they are more instrumental in putting down their own people than they are in facing external threats.
One good leader cannot fix such a problem.
Requires a collaboration of many different talented individuals, with institutions that are ready to go, to rise to the challenges of running a state.
What's the point if the Mahdī himself comes عليه السلام, and all of his people either join the Dajjāl or remain neutral and keep their heads down hoping to benefit from the aftermath without doing any of the heavy lifting?
The Muslim community in America is a microcosm of this pathetic state; Masjid boards who despise their congregations and don't care for them, be the youth, old people, converts, or people in need.
All of our leaders, preachers, and centers of influence can hardly be bothered to do anything without being paid ridiculous honoraria, or do anything except for something that is exposed to celebrity, fame, or other means of making money; there are exceptions, but they are few and far between.
Far from being an act of oppression to the people, it is a perfect reflection of their state: if they met a sincere man who is telling them what to do to be successful, he would be the most despised amongst them, thus is the rot of their state that makes bad leaders and not the other way around.
In short, we have to start from the grassroots: plan b is to stick to plan a, as the last of this Ummah will not be rectified except through that which rectified the first of it.

Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn: Excess Wealth & Unusual Judgements
https://youtube.com/live/aNHPa3mOI7I?feature=share
Themes from this lesson:
The law sometimes settles disputes out of necessity. When a case is judged on procedure in lieu of evidence that shows who's in the right, this puts people in a unique situation.
Money and its love can turn a person into an untrained dog. Control the nafs and even a dog becomes noble.
A number of instructive stories of things that were & things that shall be.

Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn: Happenings Before the End
A human being confused about what the purpose of his life is, will oftentimes make decisions that are of catastrophic consequence.
The point to life is not enjoyment. Defining yourself by what you consume or enjoy, such an ephemeral state, will inevitably lead to a life bereft value.
The person who fails to give proper value to his own life, will also fail to appreciate those blessings that are the most profound, leading to another type of catastrophe.
Listen tonight about the prophetic guidance on how to avoid both catastrophic outcomes that will come to pass over some before the Day of Judgment.

Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn: Dajjāl and the Best of People
A person can hide much about themselves normal times.
However, tribulation shows you who a man is and what they're all about.
As there is no tribulation more severe than that of the false Messiah in the end times, it sounds to reason that there will be no time in which the difference between good and evil will be more pronounced and easily visible to people.
Hear what the messenger of Allāh ﷺ told us about the best of people in the End Times so that you can prepare yourself for it and what comes before it...
The Preference of Muslim & Nasā'ī in the West
Many historians and scholars right that the scholars of the West, primarily of the Mālikī school preferred the Ḥadīth collections of Muslim & Nasā'ī over other than them for a number of reasons.
This is perhaps why the earliest commentaries and most authoritative ones on Muslim come from the western lands of Islam, where it was so celebrated, that even Eastern authors noted that they disputed the superiority of Bukhārī over it.
Nasā'ī likewise, although it's become almost a trivia note for most American Muslims today, was known for his exacting stringency in the knowledge of narrators, subtle defects in chains of narration, and in general, the craft of Ḥadīth who is comparable in rank only to Bukhārī. His collection contains some of the most celebrated application of his craft, and isn't considered one of the two most regularly authenticated collections, mostly because he will bring other chains of narration because of other importance, while openly mentioning whatever suboptimality or defect there may be in the chain so that the reader isn't malinformed.
One common denominator between the two of them, as well as being celebrated, especially in the western lands of Islām, is that people know almost nothing about them as human beings, or their lives.
One of the things I love about any discussion regarding the Ḥadīth is that it is a gathering of many people who may not be physically present. The first and most honored is the noble person of the messenger of Allāh ﷺ, for whose sake not only are the others gathered, but for who sake was the entire universe created.
Thereafter, with every Ḥadīth there are gathered all of the narrators. Entire lifetimes of genius, piety, creativity, personality and character. Entire lifetimes of different schools of thought, different ideas, different circumstances, different challenges, all connected with the indominable spirit of the love of Allāh and His messenger ﷺ.
Listen to two brief overviews of the lives of these two great mountains of scholarship, those from whom they took, and those to whom they delivered their benefit.
Who knows, perhaps the love of these people will slip into someone's heart, and Allāh will through that love open the door for someone to benefit from their works.

Madeburg Massacre: A Word of Caution
There once was a disgruntled Byzantine Commander in Sicily named Euphemio.
He petitioned the Aghlabī court in Tunis to conquer the island, offering information and support in the project because of a grievance he had.
This was the inauguration of 250 years of Muslim rule in Sicily, the most splendid period of its history, when Palermo went from a backwater town even for Sicilian purposes, to the second most populous city in all of Europe.
Having had the chance to visit Sicily, our first hotel that we stayed in was in a district called Isolla delle Femmine, seeming to translate as “Island of the Females.”
I asked our tour guide what the story was behind such a strange name. He said, jokingly, that the locals say that it is the island where women who are unfaithful are locked up, to which the women reply, do you know the name of the place where the unfaithful men are locked up? It's called Sicily.” I'm going to assume that this joke found its origins outside of Islamic rule.
Then, in seriousness, he said that he believed that it was originally Isola de Euphemio, as the Muslim commanders locked him up on that island after arriving, because they understood that a man who can betray his own people, can betray anyone.
It is said, that even Genghis Khan would take information from traitors, and execute them after they outlive their usefulness, having a similar sensibility. Whatever one wishes to say about him, he wasn't a man who lacked political acumen.
This bizarre fascination that the post Christian crusaders of Europe have with anyone and anything anti-Islām has caused them to cultivate a caste of dubious characters, all of whom seem to be so unscrupulous as to be a liability. This is how the Dutch people were made fools by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who they made a minister of state, only to find out that she lied about her entire sob story for immigration purposes, including many of her claimed grievances against Islam and Muslims. But it seems like one person's trash is another person's treasure, so the neoconservative Bush administration offered her seemingly free immigration, so she could continue pedaling her dishonesties, showing loyalty neither to her own people, nor to America, not seeing the harm that she already perpetrated on the Dutch in the same scam.
And today, we deal with the tragic aftermath of a Saudi atheist Zionist freak show of a man, who showed no gratitude or loyalty to the German people for giving him refuge. They gave him without question because he fulfilled for them a fantasy that they had about finally triumphing against the enemy, whose enmity has been made a dogmatically cemented part of their identity.
Look what it cost them.
