"Dialogues des Carmelites final" — The final dialogues of the Carmelites.
This is a short film dedicated to the martyrdom of 16 French nuns, including their Mother Superior, during the Revolution. Depicting the bloody scene of the innocent slaughter of Christ's brides, the crowd, which was earlier cheering for their executioners, soon turned dead silent when they realized they were killing the innocent who had done no wrong.
Each Carmelite nun killed that day on the guillotine had died with courage, singing hymns and chants until the final nun was executed. They had died in hopes that their deaths would bring an end to the ruthless slaughter of the French Revolution — and it did. A week later, Robespierre was put to death via guillotine, the same way the brave nuns had died, putting an end to the Reign of Terror, and ultimately the French 'Revolution.'
