IDF: As of 23:00 today (Wednesday, October 9th), approximately 220 projectiles that were fired by the Hezbollah terrorist organization crossed from Lebanon into Israel. Overall, Hezbollah fired 360 projectiles toward Israeli territory.
The IDF will continue to defend the State of Israel and its people against the threat posed by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

IDF: Over Many Years, Hezbollah Dug Tunnels, Embedded Weapons, and Built Observation Posts Behind the Front of an Environmental NGO in Southern Lebanon; The IDF Operated to Remove These Threats to Israeli Civilians
The IDF’s 36th Division is conducting limited, localized, targeted raids against key Hezbollah terrorist targets in southern Lebanon that pose a threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel. During the operations so far, the troops have eliminated numerous terrorists, destroyed underground infrastructure, and dismantled over 500 operational enemy infrastructure and combat compounds, including weapons storage facilities.
Over many years, the Hezbollah terrorist organization has cynically exploited the "Green Without Borders" (GWB) environmental NGO as a front for its military activities in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah dug tunnels, stored weapons, and built military observation posts inside GWB facilities located near the border with Israeli communities. During the operations of the 36th Division, the troops countered these threats, conducted targeted raids on these Hezbollah military assets, and destroyed the weapons and underground infrastructure.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded between 16:41 - 16:49 in the areas of the Upper Galilee, Western Galilee, and southern Golan Heights, approximately 90 projectile launches were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Some of the projectiles were intercepted by the IAF, fallen projectiles were identified.
Additionally, the IAF struck and destroyed the launcher from which the projectiles were launched at the area of Kiryat Shmona at 14:17.
Israeli Fire and Rescue services are currently operating to extinguish fires in the area.

IDF: Overnight, the IAF conducted a series of targeted, intelligence-based strikes against a Hezbollah weapons productions facility and a Hezbollah intelligence headquarters in the area of the Dahieh, a key Hezbollah terrorist stronghold in Beirut.
Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including advancing warnings to the population in the area.
The Hezbollah terrorist organization has deliberately embedded its weapons storage facilities beneath residential buildings, schools, mosques and universities, endangering the civilian population in the area.
Yesterday (Tuesday), the IAF conducted an intelligence-based strike on UAV storage facilities above and below ground, as well as ready-to-use launchers associated with Hebzollah's aerial unit.
The IDF is continuing to operate to degrade and dismantle Hezbollah’s capabilities.

IDF: Earlier today (Wednesday), the IAF struck and eliminated Adham Jahout, a terrorist in Hezbollah’s “Golan Terrorist Network”, Hezbollah’s terror cell in Syria, in the area of Quneitra.
As part of his role, he relayed information from Syrian regime sources to the Hezbollah terrorist organization and transmitted intelligence gathered on the Syrian front to facilitate operations against Israel in the Golan Heights.

IDF: Earlier today, an Israeli Navy missile ship successfully intercepted a UAV outside of Israeli territory that was approaching from Lebanon.
The IAF swiftly struck and destroyed the launcher from which projectiles were fired toward Shlomi and Safed.

IDF: Drone Footage: Hezbollah Terrorist Commander and Cells Eliminated
Since the beginning of the limited, localized, targeted raids based on precise intelligence in Lebanon, troops from the 36th's Division Unit 636 that specialize in drones strikes have eliminated several Hezbollah terrorist cells and destroyed terrorist infrastructure.
The unit's activities have included guiding drones to eliminate armed Hezbollah terrorists, in coordination with the brigade’s fire control centers.

IDF: Commanding Officer of the Northern Command to the soldiers of the 188th Brigade in Lebanon: “The way back home goes through removing the threat to the residents of the north. We are determined to bring them back, and you are doing this with the treads of your tanks and boots on the ground”
The Commanding Officer of the Northern Command, MG Ori Gordin, held a situational assessment this week with the Commanding Officer of the 188th Armored Brigade, BG Or Volozhinsky, and the brigade's soldiers during their limited, localized, targeted ground raids in southern Lebanon.
The 188th Armored Brigade, under the command of the 36th Division, dismantled weapons storage facilities, tunnel shafts, and cleared the area from Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure. They also significantly damaged the capabilities and weaponry of the Radwan Forces.
Additionally, in recent days, the MG Gordin toured brigades that have joined the operations, including the 300th Brigade and held situational assessments with the commanders in the field.
From the remarks of the Commanding Officer of the Northern Command, MG Ori Gordin: “For two weeks now, we have been inflicting severe damage on Hezbollah’s command and control. This follows ten months during which we have been targeting their tactical and operational command and control, and we are now focusing on their strategic command and control. This, combined with the severe damage we inflicted on their firepower capabilities two weeks ago, particularly on Hezbollah’s fire arrays, represents a significant operational and strategic blow to the organization. The ground operation that you initiated, in which you are currently engaged, is the element that completes this damage from the ground up. The way back home for the residents of the north goes precisely through this operation – the removal of this direct and concrete threat to the northern communities. As we said, we are determined to bring them back, and you are doing this with the treads of your tanks and your boots on the ground.”
